How I Brought Wal-Mart To Its Knees

Walmart is the world’s largest retailer. The giant retailer has been around for over 65 years and has penetrated every area of the country with its all inclusive super stores and discounted pricing. Yet amongst the hundreds of millions who claim to be customers of the no frills operation. I can definitely say: “ I have never entered a Walmart barn or stopped at its filling station, not even for the cheapest store item they offer, (purportedly a box of salt for 41 cents) which seems awfully high, doesn't it)?

There is something, actually many somethings about founder Sam Walton’s grocery store that turned me off right from the beginning. I am proud to say that I have contributed not one dime to last year’s 500 billion sales figure. Better yet, I have never spent a penny any year - nope, not me - not a penny.

I have never ventured into a Wal-Barn. Am I the only person in the country who can proudly make that claim?

Walton enterprises have been responsible for the demise of a huge number of small town businesses, which will soon be followed by the collapse of larger brick and mortar retailers. It laid the foundation for what will be the disppearance of many more major retailers, malls and shops when competitor Amazon .com begins their push into food and other essentials. .Since the great recession of 2007, while Americans suffered, and China prospered, the Familia Walton saw their income double to near 150 billion with a b. While millions of Americans were having their homes confiscated and jobs eliminated, the fortune of the six Waltons on the Forbes 400 list has more than doubled

They resisted union efforts to raise employee benefits and wages which could have had a positive impact on our overall economy

Big Banks No Loans Policy

The hopes of new retail start ups have been vanquished by the banking industry’s reluctance to lend money to new retail businesses other than the two giants. Even huge Target, crumbling Kmart and Sears, JC Penney and others find themselves being left out of the lending arena as their models are seen as risky in the ugly face of old man Walton.

The Threat From Within

Not only has Walmart forced the shutdown of smaller retail enterprises and threatened those higher up the totem poll, they have built the manufacturing segment of Red China (yes, don’t forget they are a communist nation) into a huge juggernaut that has crippled much of our industry.

Perhaps the worst of the Walmart actions are the horrible for us, great for China trade imbalances that now exists. In the meantime, millions of fanatical W mart shoppers continue to flock to the doors, even as the deals that were once thought to be unbeatable are often proved not to be.

Quality suffers, styles across the nation have been compromised, standardized and bastardized into a category often referred to as redneck trashy. You can find examples of the crazy elements on various Youtube sites that have made america not so great in the eyes of even third world countries.

I, on the other hand, shop anywhere else but THERE. I go out of my way to buy American and fid the company’s efforts to keep out unions so as to keep wages low, benefits bare and workers struggling

as the company's profits continue to rise.

I may be the only person in the world involved in this protest. I am also aware that in the scheme of things, my efforts will go un-noticed and have no financial bearing on the outcome, and finally it means nothing at all to anyone

But, it feels pretty damn good to me
