I SUPPORT ISRAEL . . . so I watched the parade.

Under tight security and a beautiful clear sky over 30,000 people showed up to celebrate Israel in a parade held June 5th in New York City.

I watched the entire thing on several videos and must say it was a happy group. It was the largest group of participants ever since the beginning of the parade, which started in l967.

Mayor Bloomberg was there as was Governor Andrew Cuomo and many other government officials. Also present was the very energetic Pamela Geller whom I so admire for her tireless support of Jews and her outreach to Muslim women.

Unfortunately the haters were there with their ugly signs. That group of people that do not believe Israel has a right to exist and would like for them to be killed. Fortunately there were few of them and the bands and marchers drowned them out.

There were tons of cute kids in bright T shirts and babies in strollers and even a fluffy dog on a float. Also present were many marching bands, signs, banners, balloons and dozens of groups, such as the Fire Department, YMCA, Scout Troops, Veterans, NY Police Dept. and a Rapper Group performing on one of the floats.

In the meantime hundreds of Syrians tried to breach the borders in Israel. Obama’s statement that borders should be returned to the l967 status has given new impetus to the Palestinians in their demands for a Palestinian state. The problem is among other demands they want the Golan Heights, a plateau overlooking the northern part of Israel, which Israel captured in l967. With this land the Palestinians could rein terror down on Israel who would be indefensible.

Anyway, the parade went on, it was peaceful and joyous for the Jews and I watched it because I support Israel. I support their right to exist, to have a state and to protect their existing borders. I see them as good peace loving people. That’s all. That’s why I watched the parade. I just want to make it public, that I support Israel 100%.I think that is important.

This is true. He seems to be very supportive of Muslim activities. Very supportive of all that is going on in the Middle East while totally disrespecting Israel.

Israel is the only beacon of hope and freedom in the Middle East. Too bad our president has so little regard for it. He has empowered Israel's enemies and that is unforgivable.
