Antoine is at the Table

Good Morning, Breakfastpoppers. Today is Tuesday, August 12, 2014. Our dear "ami", Antoine, is at the breakfast table. He is quite distraught this morning. The world, according to Antoine, is spinning out of control. Please join him for breakfast. He has whipped up a magnificent batch of buttery croissants. I will be serving French cafe. We hope to see you soon.

Black Flags are Flying

Thank you all for joining me this morning. The world, yours and mine, is in great turmoil. Iraqi families are feeling so helpless in the face of the mass murderers of ISIS that they are throwing their children from the mountaintop rather then watch them die of thirst, beheading or capture. Somehow, and I can't fathom it, your President Obama is on the golf course enjoying the life of a leader who doesn't know how to lead. Throughout Europe, the black flags of ISIS are waving. Their ugly chants permeate the air and the young and angry Muslims throughout Europe are enjoying the vicious rhetoric. "Death to the Jews" can be heard loud and clear. Death to the Christians forced to a mountaintop in Iraq. Death to anyone who is not Muslim and a believer in a world run by Muslims with strict adherence to sharia and the Koran. If you can't hear the chanting now, rest assured, you will hear it soon. There is a reason mosques are springing up throughout Europe and the United States. They are getting ready to take what they feel is theirs...everything.

Golf Trumps Everything

It seems clear to this bug that your President Obama is tired of terrorism. He just can't get a handle on how he feels about Hamas or ISIS. In his speeches, your president tries to act strong, but there is nothing behind his words. The conviction is absent. His reactions to world crisis is slow or absent. Right now he has authorized the bombing of ISIS strongholds. His plan calls for polite dainty strikes. He is dropping supplies of water to the frightening Iraqis on the mountaintop, but it is way too little and much too late. He doesn't have the stomach to call for massive air strikes against the terrorists because of collateral damage. I wonder if he connects his announcement of troop withdrawal in Iraq and Afghanistan to this savage movement. He politely told the enemy that they had time to grow strong and grow strong and powerful they did. He pulled out and they moved in and that's that! He is on the golf course now, because that is his comfort zone. This leadership business is way too time consuming. He has given and will continue to give your enemies a clear path to you. Trust me when I say, they are coming.

Whose Side Are You On, Mr. President?

It seems to this bug that your President Obama, not only suffers from presidential fatigue, but also a clear sense of who or what is right or wrong. He says the United States is allied with Israel yet his actions speak volumes about his true feelings. The president's president, Valerie Jarrett, went on "Face the Nation" to tell anyone listening that the White House simply couldn't condone the Israeli killing of innocent children. President Jarrett never bothered to give all the facts, because doing so often proves to be very inconvenient.

The fence is still up when it comes to the crisis in Iraq. If your President Obama were really concerned about the future of Iraq he wouldn't be reacting with such a light touch. I don't doubt, for one minute, that he knows what to do, but if his concern was genuine he might avail himself of all the great military leaders we have. This president never looks for answers beyond his tight little circle of misinformed, misdirected and egotistical advisers. The result of this kind of behavior is self-evident. Grandma always said that the proof was in the pudding. This pudding takes like poison!

Antoine's Song

Let's go children of the homeland

The day of reckoning has arrived

Against you tyranny's ugly flag is raised...

      Dear nicomp,

      Good Morning teaches,

It boggles my mind that the federal government can break the law and stop the states and local communities from enforcing the law. Our world has changed and not for the better. See you at the Inn.

GW Bush golfed also and the press vilified him for it.

Anyway, it'd be great if Congress golfed 24X7 and BHO took up marathoning and the Supreme Court got hooked on Reddit. In general a do-nothing government is less trouble for all of us.

They are here indeed. Anyone who cannot see the coming change is blind to reality. We are no longer a country of freedom.

      Good Morning Francine,

It may be too little too late by them. I just read that Freehold Borough is the proud recipient of "children" invading our border. Some of them are between 16 and 22 years old. Scary! And so it begins..... See you at the Inn.

As much as I hate to see time fly, for the sake of all of our children and grandchildren, I'd like to move the clock ahead to November 2015. We don't have another minute to waste!

      Good Morning, lambservant,

I don't believe that Obama does what he does because he's an idiot. I think he has never been invested in this country. We have a president who doesn't love his country or respect its citizens. The worst part is that there are still so many people around who are blind. Obama is playing us like a deck of cards. He is definitely ahead of the game in his quest to "change" us forever. See you at the Inn

lambservant - There are many who claim Obummer has not accomplished a thing the whole time he has been in office. On the contrary, I believe he has accomplished much of what he intended to do to this country and the world. It is a shame his often promised "Change" is not the "Change" we were hoping for.

    • lambservant profile image

Lori Colbo 3 years ago from Pacific Northwest

I've always felt, and perhaps I'm wrong, but that Obummer has a hidden agenda in everything he does and doesn't do. Weak? Maybe. I think it more that he is unconcerned and whatever little efforts he makes that you mentioned, are an attempt to look as though he's doing something right, but merely putting a band aid on a gaping chasm of pus (forgive the graphic). My suspicion is that whatever actions he does or does not take, is serving his allegiance to some other subversive faction or perhaps Islam itself. It made me about gag when he once said "Jesus is my Lord and Savior." Really?

Fundraising, golf, and throwing his country under the bus do not a president make.

It's not enough to elect a majority in the House or Senate. In order for the country to move forward again..on any front...both bodies need to be able to deliver two-thirds majority votes to override vetoes Every Democrat running for office--no matter how charismatic--is a future liability. Obama will veto every Republican measure passed. In the next two years if people want to break gridlock it will only be done by overriding vetoes. REPEAT: Every Democrat now running for office--no matter how charismatic--is a future liability. I'm a former Democrat turned Independent and it pains me to say it but the status-quo MUST GO!

      Dear fp,

We need a clean sweep in Washington. When Obama leaves office, every single fool who let him get away with this travesty should be kicked out as well. I'll meet you at the Inn.

      Dear savvydating,

Honestly, I believe Obama has tremendous confusion about where he stands on any issue involving Muslims. He never turns to experts available to him for advice. Instead he turns to Valerie Jarrett, an inexperienced Iranian born woman who holds tremendous power over him. Obama is the root cause of many of the problems escalating around the globe. He made certain that the world knew he was backing away from American power and leadership and they got the message loud and clear. Clearly, he has emboldened our enemies and I don't see signs of regret. See you at the Inn.

I'm with fpherj there. It is TIME to clean congressional house starting with #1. These politicians are in it for ego aggrandizement, nothing more, nothing less. Time to elect people to congress who really know the definition of their position which is to serve and work for their constituents, instead of workin for themselves.

Blind, deaf, dumb....ineffectual, delusional, weak, lazy and maybe "Dumb like a fox?".......3 guesses who I'm referring to.....first 2 guesses don't count.

And WE sit here? as Barry & The Congressiolos play golf? Time for Americans to score a hole-in-one.......Toss the whole friggan lot of them into a hole ....before we simply implode.

The thing that I find most perturbing is that if the president had acted early on, many of theses crises wouldn't be happening in the first place...same with Syria and with Russia, to mention a few of the places that are going to hell in a handbasket.

I wonder. Does Obama ignore all of this craziness on purpose or is he just a weak rookie? I mean, he was a community organizer, then a Senator for one year and then president. His acceptance speech at the White House was the same speech he gave as a senator. This man is unbelievable---and to think half of America voted him in! One thing I know for sure, ISIS/ISSL is coming here. I wish more people would wake up! Voting Up.

No, you are not nuts, you are sane and that is the problem. What is happening now is insane. The world is spinning out of control and Obama is making it spin faster. With the United States out of contention for leadership, Putin will invade the Ukraine and ISIS will invade us! See you at the Inn. I believe it is still safe there.

      Good Morning, Mike,

Obama is out to lunch so we might as well forget about him. We don't have a president. His absence has created just the perfect void for terrorists from all over to march their ugly selves into our country. While we are at it, we might as well forget about Congress. Most of them are golfing, too! See you at the Inn. If I played golf, I swear I would give it up!

Is it just me or have things gotten crazier? We don't know who are friends are or our enemies...we help our enemies and screw our friends....we have no focus on making this country better....just putting out endless fires....it's time for a massive change and I'm calling for a revolution..bloodless of course, but a revolution over apathy.

I kinda sorta knew this would happen when we pulled all the troops out of Iraq. This one gives me no pleasure in being able to say "I told you so."

I also don't believe the USA should be forced to act as the world police. Where the heck is the UN and our so-called allies in this thing? It is a complex problem and it would seem the others are just waiting for someone, like us, to go first. This is so they have someone to blame if it all goes wrong.

Our empty suit of a President needs to grow a pair and act like the leader he is supposed to be. Throwing a few rocks a ISIS is not going to stop them from accomplishing their evil goals. They only understand brutal force and have no regard for life.

Your right, they will be here in our country soon. I suspect many of them are already here. Our wide open borders make it easier for them and you can bet they are coming in bunches while the gate is standing open.

We really need a strong leader and can only hope we can survive until the next election.
