IT'S BEST TO SAY "I DO" in IRAN
Refusing a married proposal may be hazardess
Ameneh Bahrami refused a married proposal given to her by an Iranian man Majid Movahedi, so he waited for her one afternoon when she left work and poured a bucket of acid over her head and face. He had been stalking her and proposing, but she was just not that in to him.
Now this once beautiful, healthy and productive woman is blind in both eyes, severely disfigured and has injuries to her body as well. She is currently living in Spain undergoing treatment for her injuries.
The perpetrator confessed to the crime and was sentened to have his eyes burned out with acid and Ms. Bahrami was to conduct the punishment herself if she so chose to.The punishment was scheduled for this week in Tehran, but then there was quite a bit of international condemnation of the retribution plan and it was called off. Possibly for ever.
However this punishment is allowed by Sharia Law but Amnesty International made quite a stink. Let’s see now, Sharia Law. Isn’t that the law the Muslims are trying so desperately to infiltrate into OUR COURTS? We actually have some congressmen who think it’s harmless.
So there you have it. No acid in the eyes for Majid.
I dunno. Sounds fair to me.
