Trump Administration Knew About Coronavirus Since January But Failed To Tell The American People

They Knew Way Before Hand

In a memo written by President Trump's Trade Advisor Peter Navarro, he warned of the pandemic we now know as COVID-19. As Trump dodged questions about the memo during his daily almost propaganda like press briefings, it was clear that not only was the memo from Peter Navarro a sufficient warning, but we had Dr. Anthony Fauci warning us about this pandemic since January. You can hear Trump himself who stated during a White House briefing that an office had been set up in the white house since January. We know, without any smoke or mirrors, we had warnings in January. We've heard it time and time again from White House Officials on Live TV. They knew about it in January.

Why The Administration Failed

Without the help of the The Global Health Security and Biodefense Unit or its top White House Official Timothy Ziemer, we went at this alone. All based on intuition of the president himself. He knew that if word got out that the pandemic was going to strike, our economy would have began to crash sooner than it did. We saw the President call the virus a hoax created by the democrats to gain an edge over the election. We saw U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz wear a gas mask on the floor of the house mocking this virus. As I am writing this 34,562 people have died on American soil due to COVID-19. This was nothing to mock nor politicize.

What Now

I don't believe we will see a normal anytime soon. The Republicans are choosing to risk the lives of thousands more Americans, and undo what progress we have made as a nation practicing Social Distancing, to reopen the economy before it is safe to do so. They are not interested in the well being of the American People but rather the well being of the American Economy which will certainly collapse again once hospitalizations and ICU rates begin to increase again after any premature re-openings. We are only on the downside of this curve and opening before May would cause a rebound in the progress we have made. That has been confirmed by scientist and doctors all over the world but the Republicans still choose to ignore their sworn enemy, science.

Who Benefited?

Some elites like Bill Gates, dumped a large portion of their holdings before the economy took a turn for the worst. They knew this was coming, but it wasn't their priority to get that information to the American people.

Senator Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.), Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), Richard Burr (R.-N.C), and James Inhofe (R-Okla.) sat in on a classified briefing on the coronavirus and soon after dumped hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of stock. (Sounds like Insider trading to me but what do I know I'm just a dumb millennial)

Companies like 3M, who make the critically needed N95 masks, have been criticized by the President during his briefings. Yet, it's companies like that who make the essential products that we cannot go without will thrive while the non essential marketplace crashes.

Store like Wal-Mart and Walgreens are still suffering amidst the crisis but when you're shutting down all other non essential businesses, it limits the consumers ability to choose where they get their products from.

America's Future

I don't see sporting events happening until 2021, possibly 2022 unless a cure or vaccine is found. People will walk around with masks like we live in some third world country overnight. All our basic rights and freedoms were taken, but for the good of humanity. I believe we need to keep Social Distancing in place for the next six months at least and allow stimulus to reach people in need during this time. We are only on the very edge of what is hopefully the peak and to ruin it would be, not that it already isn't, catastrophic.
