Illusion Is President Trump's Confusion Tactic
We all know that Trump has said that he does not want the US military to be the policemen of the world and to prove his point, he betrayed the Kurds in Syria by pulling US troops out of the Turk-Syrian border. He called it a brilliant move and then sent those troops to seize the pitiful Syrian oil fields near the Iraqi border, which produce less than 300,000 barrels. What Trump did was to displace troops in Syria, not bring them home.
Where Are US troops in the Middle East?
As of October, 2019, there are nearly 60,000 American troops deployed in the Middle East:
- 14,000 in Afghanistan
- 7,000 in Bahrain
- 5,200 in Iraq
- 2,800 in Jordan
- 13,000 in Kuwait
- 13,000 in Qatar
- 500 or less in Saudi Arabia
- 2,000 in Syria
- 5,000 in UAE
- 500 or less in Oman
The most interesting number is that of Syria, that Trump claimed he had gotten America out of. Most of the troops pulled from the Turk border amounted to less than 100, and the bulk of them are in Southern Syria near the Jordan border and now the Syrian oil fields.
Should Iran attack American forces, there is said to be a plan to deploy 120,000 men and Saudi Arabia will no doubt be reinforced.
Once again, intelligent people can find out what the facts are when Trump makes a statement. Once again, our president will say anything to gain a voter even lies. Nothing is beneath this despicable man.
