In Dedication

Updated on December 16, 2012

From Mommy

Oh, my baby

My baby

My sweet, sweet child

Oh, my baby

My little one

My sweet, innocent child

What has happened?

My sweet baby

Oh, my sweet, sweet

Little one

I ache for you

To hold you

In my arms,

My sweet, innocent little one

Oh, my God,

My beautiful baby

My sweet little one

My life

My heart is pounding

There are no words

My baby,

My sweet, sweet baby

Where are you now?

I can not feel you here

I ache so.

Oh, my dear God,

Please let me awake

From this bad dream

Hello aviannovice...yes, this was particularly difficult very very heart breaking. I hope time has helped to lessen the absolute stinging pain of such a life changing loss.

That is the most frightening feeling in the world, I dare say.

Good morning . With so many warm wishes for a loving, family oriented and caring Christmas and Holiday all everywhere.

Yes, yes yes..all our tender and caring thoughts, prayers are directed East to Newtown, Conneticut and the grieving residents; specially, so very specially to the parents who have lost a child. Our hearts are with you. Thank you for the amazingly sympathetic/empathetic words for the Sandy Hook teachers, Principal, children and Parents and families of the lost little ones. K

With your loving expansive heart I knew this would affect you quite deeply, and it shows sad but beautifully in your poem.

A true expression of the pain felt at the loss of a child. God said we are created in his image. This means we are spirit as God is spirit. We can only imagine how God feels at these horrible atrocities. His Love is the only saving grace we have to hold on to.

Thank you, Kathy, for a sad, lonely lullaby that every parent who has lost a child carries in their heart. It is so apparent that our President, a loving husband and father, feels the anguish of the parents, and the world, of those twenty sweet, innocent babies who lost their precious, promising lives. And, if there is any hope to stop the barbarism this nation has stood by and continued to allow, for too long, I believe he has the heart, conscience and courage to initiate the change that needs to happen.

Very soulful piece, Kathy, that every heart feels today, through and through.

Good morning and wishes for a very warm, wonderful, loving, kind and happy Christmas and Holiday season. To all; everyone of every faith and belief.

This Dedication is written in the words of a mother who has lost her beloved little ones(s) in the midst of the Conneticut tragedy. Unthinkable! Un believable and intensely heart breaking. My love to all.

Heartbreakingly poignant...expressive of isolation and sadness that no parent should have to feel.

      Beautiful, like you, Kathy.

A beautiful but sad poem--surely of a parent mourning the loss of a child. If this is so, my condolences. Natalie

Expression in words of the severe pain we feel when a precious beloved dies. Merely a groan, containing agonizing pain. I've heard sad music in the background.

      Thanks, Kathy.

My condolences, too, to all the beloveds of the children and adults who had died in Connecticut :(
