Independents' Tea Party ‘Pre-Occupation’... LMFAO

Updated on December 20, 2011

"Look not mournfully into the past. It comes not back again. Wisely improve the present. It is thine. Go forth to meet the shadowy future, without fear."

– Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807 - 1882)

Shoutout Longhunter

Ineptocracy (in-ep-toc’-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

we'll carry on...

Prior to the 2008 Presidential Election I penned a hub entitled ‘Politics goes Hollywood: Pollywood’. Unbeknown-st, my little overt satire, disguised in the form of hyperbole, reached the pinnacle of credulity in the TV reality realm! In fact it served as the catalyst inspiring this installment of political Reality TV. Fore, on this evening, upon hearing the sounds of the pomp and circumstance emanating from the moderator in a distant room, I confused the reality series' ‘Survivor’ finale with the most recent Republican Debate intro in Iowa.

The ‘off the charts’ interest in the GOP debates suggests Independents are eyeing the possibility of a viable third party candidate. Say what you will of the Tea Party; their coup of the establishment Republicans have party leaders looking over their shoulder as if they were checking their blind spot before changing lanes. The extreme right proved they can disable the established GOP. If the left does the same through dissatisfaction of the establishment Democratic Party; we got a three way race…

The question being, will it be the occupy movement or maybe a politically moderate alternative to create the latest ‘Party Rock’ of politics Anthem…? One thing is for sure indeed; everybody’s shuffling.

Americans Elect Who Should Run?

“Americans Elect is the first nonpartisan presidential nomination. With Americans Elect, your voice matters. You decide the issues. You choose the candidates. You nominate the president. And your choice will be on the ballot in 2012! This election, YOU will change politics as usual. FB Page: ‎435,580 like this

How it plays out is anyone’s guess

Ron Paul has an outside shot in the Iowa Caucus. He could upset Mitt and Newt. New Hampshire second place finish for Paul is not out of the question with Romney comfortably ahead in the polls. South Carolina’s Governor Nikki Haley’s backing of Romney surprised me but that could be a direct response to Establishment Republican influence. Mr. Gingrich, from neighboring Georgia, holds a commanding 20 point lead in the SC polls. Each of the three candidates has a realistic expectation of one win, one place and one show going into Florida at the end of January 2012.

Having said all that…Republicans refuse to work with President Obama. Independents have come to the realization four more years of potential man-made crisis are not worth the ideological scars to be inflicted upon the national body. So we may have written another chapter in the third party anti establishment saga adding to the TR/Wallace/Perot movements.

gjfalcone commented on Americans Elect | Who Should Run?

Ron Paul/ Bernie Sanders ticket...Jon Huntsman Secretary of State and Buddy Roemer Treasury Secretary.

We now join one of the many Americans Elect debate topics already in progress: … sound man Que the intro...

…Focusing on Congress

We'd like to extend this to congressional and even gubernatorial nominations. However, we've decided to focus our effort, energy and resources on the Presidential / Vice Presidential ticket in 2012. With your support, hopefully we'll be able to tackle more challenges in the future.

I can not restate enough the 3 true issues and this diatribe is eloquently stating.

#1 Outlaw Congressional Legislative Insider Trading.
#2 Outlaw Petroleum Commodities Trading.
#3 Tax the Wealthy.

I like your list Martin S.,

Where would you place the $700 Trillion unregulated (no capital requirements) SWAPS Market, which would destroy Global systemic financial institutions overnight?

Make that my number one on the priority list.

My next priority would be to address the fact the 2010 Census revealed 1 of 2 Americans are financially classified as 'low income class'. In a consumer based society their disposable income is minimal at best... 50% living paycheck to paycheck, hand to mouth, a fiscal crisis from distinction.

When business does not invest in the work force the government must, in times of crisis, to avert the impending disaster of death from poverty.

So my #2 item on the priority list would be, build infrastructure. People working increase the tax revenues.

Restructuring Congress has to be on or near he top. Why stop at Insider trading. Support the Constitutional Amendment movement toward overturning of the SCOTUS decision "Citizens United" with respect to the rights of special interest groups. Simply; the removal of 'big money' influence in politics.

The game changer in a people’s political movement could be formidable if the Tea Party, Occupy Movement and Independent voters could form an alliance based on their agreement instead of focusing on their difference of methodology to achieve their common objective. A third party would be viable.

But that's just me,

One thing is for sure...ever since the Tea Party came out, everybody's shuffling. Party Rock is in the House tonight. We may not want you to actually lose your mind, but really want to shake that political machine to its very core.

It appears a Romney/ Bush ticket is quite possible. Unidentified polling in NH suggests Jeb may be a consideration. POTUS has his hands full fighting history of the electorate giving the prolonged economic downturn. The dems seem to be relying on the numerator bringing down the official unemployment rate; those long term disenfranchised job seekers which are no longer counted as a factor equating the gravity and scope of Unemployment.

"Step up fast, throw in your cash, we gave money don't be mad, now stop...hate is bad. Enjoy the show. get up... get down... Put your hands up!"

As a Americans Elect delegate, the best chance to garner unified bipartisan electorate support is a Ron Paul/ Bernie Sanders ticket:

Here is the logic behind Independent support of a third Party candidate this election cycle. Congressional approval being cited at single digits suggests a 'throw all the bums out' mentality. Ron Paul's is a well known Strict Constitutionalists and an advocate of a hands off foreign policy. Senator Bernie Sanders lends voice of the seniors, protector of the social safety net. He is an Independent, which works in the third party scenario as credible, although he sits with Democratic caucus. Who knows if the voting booth dynamics will be enough to push it over the edge seeing a viably winnable third choice; Discontent is a powerful drug...

With the view the Constitution is under attack, and with the prevailing perception the electorate is unrepresented may serve as the catalyst for the people to make their long awaited bold statement ... A pox on both your houses; so to speak... So To Speak!

American politics certainly has changed since I've been away. The more I read the less inclined I am to visit much less return to the States. I'm just gonna kick back here on this sceptred isle and watch how it all turns out.

Good hub with lots of useful and interesting observations.

Thank you for the visit and comments Angela Kane. Putting We The People first and foremost should be what our Representatives should focus on eh? Somehow that concept got lost in the politics.

I will not be voting for the Tea Party. They have not given me enough reason. They have already proven to be obstructionist so far. I need a lot more information about them and their policies.

Hey terry, Thanks for the read & the comment,

If history proves a Harbinger of events, it will be anything but dainty.

The 'Tea Party types' I have come to know, are not what I would classify as wealthy. I think they think of themselves as being next. The Tea Party opened the door for future movements.

The Occupy movement folks, I would tend to agree, are the salt of the earth.

The LMFAO video Reference: People in the decimated streets, expressing themselves...Party Rock is in the House; The Tea Party Rocked the Establishment GOP House, plus if find the Band's Acronym most appropriate.

I would never vote for the Tea Party...I need bigger sandwiches, nothing dainty. But this article demonstrates the political changes happening on the government level and in the view of the people - not the rich Tea Party types...but the salt of the earth types..the ball is in their courts.

plus can't beat the LMFAO reference - they are sexy and they know it!

Man... do I like your writing/perspectives. I replied to your visit to my hub then hurried over to see "what you're about" and can only say that my reply to your comment was likely a prophetic one.

You should run for office, I would vote for your Constitutionalist's, non-hater position in a heartbeat.

With or without your permission, I am sharing this Hub of yours on my FB and encouraging my "friends" to read your stuff.

      Very well done... good form.

Interesting hub. Committing to build infrastructure, redo the tax code regarding the loopholes, etc. that allow corporations free reign and raise taxes on the 1%. It will be an interesting year.

      Mr. Hellert,

"39 yet also 4 yrs old, conservative republican, husband, father of 3 and cat owner. i have seen ghosts, dead people , a couple UFOs and alot of idiots."

Please take into account my crystal ball is cloudy and my magic wand hasn't functioned properly in years. Having said that, this is a hub of hope, the hope those with opposing points of view can focus on the points of agreement toward a common objective.

While serving my country I crushed a few vertibre in my neck region. It layed me up for years. Then, while serving my country as a DOE SWAT Officer years later, yes I recovered, I was sprayed point blank with a CO2 fire extinguiher causing permanent damage to my lungs...and that layed me up for a considerable while.

I too am a fiscal and social conservative. I too am a husband & father of three. I too had a cat I recently lost which was painful.

Here's the thing though; ghosts, dead people and UFO's aside, I too have had the pleasure of attempting to have a cerebral conversation with, as you refer to those whom you differ with ...'idiots'.

I choose not to impose my beliefs on others. I prefer to give those whom I disagree with every opportunity to change my point of view. That's how I've evolved to becoming a man from the 4 year old disposition of a boy.

I believe in the Constitution of the United States of America. And though I may disagree with those whom verbalize an opposing opinion, I'll defend their right to state that opinion. What I won't defend and refuse to respect is hatred toward my fellow Americans.

Nothing good has ever come of spewing Hatred.

Fox News is a powerful drug. Turn the damn thing off and read "A Tale of Two Cities." Its a Dickens classic with a multitude of similarities with our present American experience. Or better yet, plug in to Americans Elect, where every opinion counts and is heard through a series of questions regarding your perspective about healing wounds through education and dialogue. Give the 39 year old husband and Father within some breathing room.

God Bless The United States of America, each and every one of us...

itsa neat thought a third party-he tea party and independants have more in common than the occupy wallstreet manufactured movement could never meld with the other two

left wing outside money and communists have created and infiltrated the occupy movements-they are fake and contrived like thugs there is nothing enuine about them they prey on the gulibale the weak and overly idealistic naive-they are the astroturf while the Tea party is true movement of the people.
