Daman & Diu

Diu is a Sanskrit word and it means an Island.Diu was subject to the governor-general of Goa as part of the Portuguese overseas province Estado da India (State of India),they are a Union Territory of India today. If I could stay here perhaps it would take me a week or more to see all the places and write more than what I have written here. When I was in Ahmadabad few years ago my wish to go here was left behind as I had not told my friend and he had reserved my journey ticket and could not get a chance for the stupid reason that there were no tickets available and I had no time to wait to see Daman and Diu.Now I can go but I have very bad reason and so it will not be possible to go.From Bangalore to Vapi and from there to Daman by Taxi will be comfortable but the Railway Station at Bangalore is a mess for even a local man as there are so many platforms and bridges over and below the ground and lifts so hidden that only the porters can go.Even if you are alone it will be most uncomfortable if you are unaware of the main Railway Station and its confusing roads and one way's that can drive you nuts and bolts. As you reach Vapi it may be comfortable since the distance is just 10 kilo meters.
