Influence at the White House: will Jared Kushner do right

Updated on December 2, 2016

A critical problem for Mr. Trump: how to use Jared Kushner to best advantage

Mr. Jared Kushner is President-elect Trump's son-in-law, married to his daughter Ivanka Trump. I have studied three professions at the doctorate level, to name them, 1. Business Administration, 2. Education and, of course, 3. Medicine. I am a master at "Case Study Methodologies," so, for me, Mr. Kushner is a perfect case for a 10 year study. I am just sharing some of my thinking about him from a Pilot Study where I am taking an initial look at him.

Allow me to make a point, please. People like myself, who have studied at the "Doctor of Business Administration" level, are just researchers and teachers (that's all). The same applies to my studies at the doctorate level in Education. My time is spent teaching or writing or just researching non-traditional approaches to education. I am not a great teacher. I am just a fairly adequate researcher. That's all.

I just feel that it is necessary for me to, again, to give you some idea of who I am before I can expect you to trust me with, teaching you, via my writings, anything about a "Great Business Person's" life. Yes, Mr. Kushner is a great business person. This is not to say that he is a great politician. He has a long ways to go to become a great politician, but he has real potential to evolve into a politician, actually, into a force to be reckoned with.

Mr. Jared Kushner is probably one of the most gifted business-people among all the people in the Trump camp. This is an obvious fact. My father used to say, "We must give credit where credit is due." This is not to say that Mr. Trump (himself) or his daughter Ivanka Trump or his son, Donald Trump Jr. are not super effective business people. They are very elite business people. Highly effective!

But how is Mr. Trump going to use Mr. Kushner to his advantage without creating problems for himself or for Mr. Kushner. Mr. Trump may not be able to use Mr. Kushner to his advantage as a member of the White House team, at all, without creating grave damages for himself and for his family. It is probably best to use Mr. Kushner for advice, as need be, from a distance, when it comes to dealing with the politics of running the Executive Branch of the United States' government. Mr. Kushner is too valuable, as a business entrepreneur to risk getting him in deep trouble with ethical issues linked to government business, that is day-to-do government "stuff." It is common knowledge that Mr. Kushner's father, Mr. Charles Kushner, was arrested on charges of tax evasion, illegal campaign donations and witness tampering, back in 2004, and was eventually convicted on all charge. Mr. Charles Kushner was sentenced to two years in a federal prison for problems he encountered because this situation. Surely, President-elect Trump must "act carefully" to protect his son-in-law from facing the grave consequences that once beset his son-in-law's father.

Mr. Jared Kushner is very bright, that is intelligent, as I have alluded to this far in my composition. He was born on January 10, 1981 (age 35). He was born in Livingston, New Jersey. He attended Harvard University where he earned the BA degree. He completed graduate studies at New York University where he earned a law degree (JD) and an MBA. Noteworthy, law degrees are valuable for anyone interested in politics at the top of governments at the State or Federal level.

His religion is Judaism. He is an Orthodox Jew. His wife, Ivanka Trump, converted to Judaism before they were married in a Jewish ceremony on October 25, 2009.

I forget to mention that I have a graduate degree in theology from the Vanderbilt University's (Divinity School). This is particularly helpful when writing about an Orthodox Jew, the likes of Mr. Jared Kushner, because it gives one some insight into how he thinks. An Orthodox Jew does not think, or reason along the same lines that a man like President-elect Trump does. An Orthodox Jew's religion plays a role, in some way, into his or her thinking and actions. This is a safe assumption, that Jews think like Jews. Period!

By the way, if one looks at money, or business practices, within Jewish communities, one will not find a condemnation against business people who are wealthy. As a matter of fact, within the books of the Hebrew Bible one will find examples of very rich Jews who had favor with their God. One example, which is familiar to us all, is Job. Allow me to refresh your memory of Job by sharing a few verses with you from The Book of Job, Chapter 1, verses 1 through 3. "There was a man in the land of Uz,

whose name was Job:

and that man was perfect

and upright,

and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.

And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters.

His substance also was

seven thousand sheep,

and three thousand camels,

and five hundred yoke of oxen,

and five hundred she asses,

and a very great household;

so that this man

was the greatest of all the men of the east."

In other words, Job was a very, very rich Jew.

Now, Mr. Jared Kushner is a very, very rich Jew also.

I will make this prediction, Mr. Jared Kushner will be a billionaire in less than 4 years. This is a given. It has nothing to do with my research.

I am engaged in a 10 year research study of Mr. Jared Kushner.

Do I have any hypothesizes or theories concerning his life. No!

The case studies that I do requires no hypothesizes or theories. Remember, Naturalistic observation, as a research methodology, actually is a qualitative research method.

I will say this, however.

I tend to believe, that over time, Mr. Kushner will do what is right. I expect great things out of him. It has nothing to do with politics. A great Jew will do what is right for God and for humanity, in the long run.

I expect for him to do what is right.

My prayers are with him, "as he goes."

They, the Trump camp, have a lot to make right, if the want a universal increase in respect and influence. "And they lived happily ever after," only happens in Nursery rhymes. These guys have some real work ahead of them. It remains to be seen if Mr. Trump can ever be all the people's President.
