Why is Hubpages Anti Trump?

Updated on August 2, 2018

Conclusion

So there is the question along with the additional question information, and my comments on them.

After hp police summarily deleted my question, I would add hp to the govt in this question. As they have acted to change the voice of the people to align to their thinking or deal with their punishment. Yes, they are not a government agency and the constitution doesn't apply to private businesses, but shouldn't they be help to their own rules. It is time for them, to display their real colors and publish their far left bias, and how they take their bias to Draconian implementation.

They don't act using the principles set forth by this country. But then again, California doesn't represent the USA anymore. They have silently fallen back to the days before when California was part of Mexico.

If I am not banned and if this article is not deleted or flagged, then I might be wrong about my statements on hp. but, the proof is in the pudding as they say.

  • hp didn't ban me or delete this article, they just keep dropping my hubber score.

And justice for All.

Additional information available

I will put in the comments that entire commentary for that question. but only if there is a request from someone commenting on this article.Better act fast, I don't know how long my account will be active.

Thanks for reading this article.

Here is another example of how hp is biased

The only hubs of mine that haven't been featured are those where it is about hp.Instead of answering my claims about their bias, they want to use their bully pulpit to punish those that even question their methods.

They never answer any questions about why they do things, and they are not in their numerous help sections.

These sections are ambiguous and vague not relating to any specific actions of theirs on hubbers and hubs.

They put the little circle next to my hubs on them, and that circle says that the article didn't have the quality to be featured. But the simple truth is that they didn't like the truth being said about how their bias is not professional.

how can hp justify giving scores of fifty or below to long time hubbers? There is no way for them to do that, so why is hp doing it?

There seems to be a new phase of hub page bias, as many hubbers claim recently that their hubber scores are plummeting like the stock market in 2008.

Is this some sort of hubbercide by the hp cabal.

There was any real connection to base your hubber score but not there isn't a reality thread to grasp. hubber scores have dropped by 10 to 15 or more points in a matter of hours to a few days.

looking at the HP help center on how these hubber scores are computed makes no sense. One of the key factors is writing quality hubs, yet there are many hubber scores in the 90s not based on any hubs being written.

In the absence of any real facts on the hubber score computation, one can only surmise that it is a personal bias for some hubbers and against other hubbers.

HP is very biased. I hardly write any hubs anymore. Anything I write pertaining to Christianity is NEVER featured, no matter how good it is. My other ones are. In the past, it wasn't like that--so I am guessing a new batch of moderators came in. If they're not going to feature it, and no one will read it, why bother?

Basically, this place has become so dull!!!! All the good people are gone.

hp won't even allow the hp community to see this question on why they don't cite the rules they claim that we must follow.

If hp has rules then why can't they cite them when the summarily remove ?s?

asked by bradmasterOCcal 22 hours ago

They don't seem to apply their rules evenly.

HubPages Q&A Rules The Answers section of HubPages is a great place to find both short and Hub-length answers to your most burning questions. There are, however, a few guidelines about how to use this section of the website. Questions may be removed if they do not meet certain criteria.

---------- What is that criteria, and why can't they cite it?

Then they refuse to answer this question, and delete it. Isn't this proof enough that hp is super biased, and they use their so called rules, to delete, banish, and treat hp users like little children.

Because if I leave them open when I post them, the mod sq deletes them! Or the whiners get them to delete them.

It may not be a problem as the whiners always get their way.

Thank you for this insightful comment on the issue. As for my writing questions, it is not because I don't want to write hubs, but I found out that there is little return on putting in all the work on these articles.

I am surprised that you were banned as I was especially when we are usually on opposite sides. So maybe this issue is more complex than I have imagined. hmmm.

I think that our online interaction has been based more on the issues, and we have both been blunt on the other's opinion. but, I don't take it personally, and I try to focus on the issue, rather than the personality.

Questions have about the same responses as the articles, but there is a lot less work in putting them together. I have tried different formats, from starting with my view, to the other extreme of just throwing out the question without additional information.

I want to see the other side, and give them a chance to argue their views. I once went to the hospital for a gallbladder problem, and what should have been a three in out operation, extended to 10 days. The reason is that I had a different opinion on it then my doctors. Quite frankly, I was right about the doctors, except for the surgeon they called in to look at my case.

While the gastro, the GP, and the internist were just looking at me as a billing medium, this surgeon came in and took their chaos and set forth a plan, and ultimately convinced me that his idea was better than mine.

This is what I hope for in these hp exchanges. One of my wife's relatives, who was a physicist and college professor told my wife that I was very persistent. This was his evaluation after our talks on science. I don't think, it sounded like an accolade.

Anyway, while you and I don't agree on a lot, I think we do a good job exchanging views.

Our common ground is being banned for being ourselves.

Thanks again for your comment, looking forward, barring any banning by hhp, to some interesting exchanges of views.

      Have a super day.

Thanks for your intelligent view of this issue. In this matter, hp is usually the one that pulls the plug. Yes, I am tired of the hp just making decisions without giving reasons, and when they pull a ? that asks whether they can be questioned about their decisions, it tells a lot about their management.

Hi Brad! Although we not always agree, I'm happy to see you write a 'hubpage' and not merely asking a 'biased' question. I also was banned (twice) form HP forums and I was "forced" to write a hub - just like you. Although we may be throwing rocks at each other from 50 feet - I do feel a connection with you - even if it's just to argue. Stay Strong!

      Dear brad,

You have every right to voice your opinion. HP, I suppose, has the right to censor what they find objectionable. In the end you and I have the right to decide where we want to go to voice our opinions. I, as you know, have been against the views that would seem to be those of the left. Thus far, my views have been aired. If that should change, I may change, but my instinct is to to stay and persevere. I hope you do the same, but if you are tired of the whole thing, I understand.

Hp is hp here and there , same rules, same company.

I did give an example of their bias, it is a stand alone example, and the main stream media was just a reference.

      Cheers

Not being aware of msm, their or HP's bias, I can't rightly comment then, can I? For the same reason I tend to steer clear of US politics, being just about familiar with our own Byzantine system.

Alan, that wasn't really the point of this article. It was meant to use msm bias as an anchor point to hang the hp bias onto as a reference.

All media companies have a bias of some sorts, as do newspapers. Over here the BBC has a bias towards the EU, the 'Daily Mirror' has a bias towards the Labour Party (has been dubbed 'Labour's poodle' by other papers). The 'Sun' and 'The Times', being owned by the Murdoch Group have their bias toward Theresa May and the 'Independent'/'I' tend towards the LibDems.

If these biases are not immediately evident in their editing, the Media companies 'toe the line' dictated by their owners. 'The Daily Express" and "Daily Mail" follow the same lead as the Murdoch papers, and back 'Brexit' to the hilt, whereas dear old 'Auntie Beeb' gives short shrift to contributors whose own bias goes against theirs.

We have a raft of commercial radio stations whose brief is to steer clear of politics. They play music, rock, jazz or classical, but no politics. They don't want to offend advertisers, likewise commercial TV gives politics a wide berth, and the London Broadcasting Corporation (LBC) as the only news station sticks to reporting or recording politics and lets others air their views on radio. They steer clear of uttering support for any specific platform. Woe betide a presenter who lets loose with her/his views.

We get used to bias and steer off 'loftier' courses, although I've let my own views be known about past Tory transport policies vis-a-vis the railways, but anyway that's in the form of a history lesson for the uninitiated abroad or UK citizens who don't know much back beyond Thatcher. Others, like me, are in the know and I expect to see them nodding as they scroll down.

      Bias is folly, but human.
