It's God's Work

Updated on February 27, 2014

Let Us Pray...

Good Morning Breakfastpoppers. Today is Thursday, February 27, 2014. Our friend Manny, the Praying Mantis, is with me this morning. He is a bit concerned about President Obama's characterization of the work his "people" are doing in their effort to get disinterested citizens to sign up for Obamacare. Please join us for breakfast this morning to hear what Manny has to say. We're having bacon, eggs, sausage and french fries. Rumor has it that this kind of fare may soon be outlawed!

Welcome, my dear human family. Your President Obama addressed his followers at an Organizing for Action event in Washington. He urged them to push like never before to enroll as many people as possible in Obamacare before the March 31 deadline. He told the group that it will be their efforts that make the difference in the success of his healthcare overhaul. These are your President's words, not mine, " The work you're doing is God's work. It is hard work."

God's Work?

When I heard these words escape from your President's lips, I was, quite frankly, appalled. I just couldn't imagine God having a vested interest in inflicting Obamacare on an unhappy and unwilling public. The President urged OFA members to recruit Republican friends and relatives into the program. He instructed them to tell people not to believe what they hear on the "wrong newscast." He accused those that oppose Obamacare of spending billions of dollars to spread misinformation. The "wrong newscast" must be code for Fox News, because thus far they are the only source of what is really happening in our nation. The other newscasts act like they are in the employ of the administration. Mr. President, God has bigger fish to fry than to be a mouthpiece for your initiative. Just be satisfied with the likes of Health and Human Services Secretary, Kathleen Sebelius. She can cite the party line without fear that her nose will grow to puppet like proportions. She can tell Congress that the Affordable Care Act will drive down unemployment. She is not at all bothered by a report from the Congressional Budget Office that predicted a spike in unemployment. When I was a young bug, my friends would deal with a liar by saying" liar, liar, wings on fire." If words always translated into actions, Kathleen Sebelius would have burst into flames long ago!

Turning Up the Heat!

Speaking of "flames" Harry Reid proudly called citizens claiming to be victims of Obamacare liars. If you are one of the millions of Americans who lost their insurance or who are facing skyrocketing premiums, rest assured, that these problems are part of your overactive, lying imaginations.

The bottom line is this. When all is said and done, Obamacare will leave millions of people uninsured. It has been estimated that 30 million Americans will not have coverage under Obamacare. This bug wonders why you all have to undergo all this "change" when 85 percent of you were perfectly happy with the coverage you had. Oh wait, I remember now, it's not about coverage, it's about power. Any Socialist worth his or her salt knows that when you take over healthcare you take over everything.

Human Puppets

Cut The Strings

Despite the administration's efforts to pull your strings and make you believe what they believe, many of you aren't buying the spin. The uninsured in your nation are very uneasy and skeptical about this "thing" called Obamacare. They are starting to have a "healthy" mistrust of promises made to them by an administration that has told more lies than Pinocchio.

Obamacare- Disaster or Solution?

Have you been impacted thus far by Obamcare?

Manny's Song

The moment I wake up

Before I brush my wings

I say a little prayer for you....

      Good Morning teaches,

The plan is doomed to fail. Obama destroyed a system that worked to replace it with one that doesn't. As for the "millions" that signed up, if it's true it isn't enough to fund the program.

I heard on the news that millions signed up for the program this month to avoid the tax fee before filing. Now, if only the program would work. Still not convinced this is the best thing for Americans. May God help us!

      Dear tirelesstraveler,

So sorry to hear about your friend. Harry Reid would call her a liar and just knowing that makes me want to scream!

I can never answer yes or no on polls. I am very grateful we still have our insurance, but there was no joy watching the look of my liberal friend when she discovered our close friend with a "terminal illness" lost her insurance. If this terminal girl could just get rid of blood clots in her lungs she is the healthiest person you could meet. She scores perfectly on every test known to medicine. She works and travels. Her breathing treatments cost around $10,000 a month. She got insurance, but it costs a fortune.

      Dear Springboard,

I am yearning to feel the fun in all of this. I am so disgusted with the members of the Senate who kept their mouths shut. All of them Repubs and Dems abandoned their Constitutional duties.

The comments made by Harry Reid come as no surprise. The dems are desperate and they are running scared. They can no longer deny the debacle of the ACA, and the failed policies of the Obama administration, let alone what their own antics in the Senate have been. They're done. Their fate is sealed. They know it. And now everything will be an act of desperation. I think it is obvious, and quite frankly, kind of fun to watch at this point.

      Dear savvydatng,

No worries about the quote. His action speak for themselves. It is no wonder he feels it is perfectly okay to "go it alone." That's not the way things work in our nation which clearly means nothing to him. Enjoy the rest of the week-end.

breakfastpop, I cannot find "the end justifies the means" quote I had mentioned. So, if I spoke out of hand, that's "my bad." I was sure I had heard it when he was discussing late term abortion as a Senator(which he approves of, by the way). And right now, my You Tube videos are giving me grief. But if I find it, I'll share it with you. If it isn't, I spoke out of hand. Nevertheless, we both know that his methods for getting what he wants absolutely probes that he does believe in this dreadful philosophy.

      Enjoy your weekend, my friend.

      Good Morning FitnezzJim,

I think either one of these rhymes inspires this administration to lie like champions! To the Inn where truth still matters!

When I was growing up the rhyme we used to try to shame liars was

"Liar, liar, pants on fire;nose as long as a telephone wire." Unfortunately, the rhyme appears to have motivated telephone scammers.

      Dear Pino,

Obama and Company never take anything they do or say back. Their whole routine comes down to this. Tell all the lies you want and just stick to the story. If someone comes up with proof that you lied, just say the proof is bogus and keep on smiling. It worked in 2008 and then again 4 years later. No one has ever paid a price for lying. In fact, the liars get rewarded and promoted. See you at the Inn. I'm treating.

POP: Obama has to blame someone if he doesn't get his 7.5 million members of ACA. He has run out of people to blame, it certainly cannot be Bush, so it might has well be God, if the numbers aren't there. I just heard that Catherine Sebelius stated that no one said they needed 7.5 mllion - it had to come from the CBO, and she doesn't know where they got their figures from. WHAT????? The CBO are like actuaries, and they know what they need to make this law work. She is an idiot, like her boss.

Someone really should have a 10 second delay on everything that comes out of the WH, so they can take it back and make sense, but that will never happen. I'm off to the Inn for a glass of wine with Manny. Save me a seat.....

      Dear savvydating,

When I think of it, this may be the first and only time I ever heard Obama mention God. He and his administration are doing their level best to send God packing. When it comes to gaining political advantage anything is game so it makes sense that he would believe that "the end justifies the means." In this case the end is the complete destruction of our nation. I'll see you at the Inn and we'll continue this conversation.

I continue to be amazed at the things that come out of this president's mouth, like when he said "the end justifies the means." Yes, he really said that. I just wrote a paper that included some facts about moral relativism. That is what we're dealing with here. Obama is all about that philosophy, apparently. However, that particular philosophy opposes God's truth. So for Obama to say we would be doing God's work? I don't think so.

Nice to see you again, Manny. We appreciate your prayers. America needs them.

      Der Frog Prince,

He is desperately trying to rally the troops because the numbers are quite clear. People are not buying into his lies literally or figuratively. See you at the Inn. You have been missing for a while and you are missed!

I think the desperation will reach critical levels as we get nearer and nearer to November of this year. They probably need to be very careful as the average American out here may be more fed up than Obama and his thieves think. He can speak to his still adoring sheeple all he wants but that figure is diminishing too.

      Dear WillStarr,

The Dems should have lost all credibility with their base by now. You would think that the lies upon lies upon lies would be enough for Obama's support system to run in the other direction. Even low income people are caught in the crosshairs. Plenty of them don't qualify for Medicaid, but even with the subsidy the insurance is still too expensive and out of reach. Obamacare is a disaster. It is an open and shut case. Now let's head to the Inn. I'm buying.

    • WillStarr profile image

WillStarr 4 years ago from Phoenix, Arizona

The Democrats are desperate. The Affordable Care Act is not affordable and it's not care. It's overpriced medical insurance with very high deductibles and co-pays that we are being forced to buy to pay for free coverage for the (ever) dependent class.

But the young and healthy are not buying it, which means that the corporation-hating Democrats will now have to bail out Big Insurance Corporations with our hard-earned and scarce tax dollars.

Obamacare is 100% the brainchild of the Democrat Party, and as it gets worse, we need to remind voters just who it was who forced this awful law on an unwilling America, all the while knowing damn well that Americans were heavily opposed to it.

BTW, Billybuc, Medicare is taking a big hit because the Democrats raided it to pay for Obamacare, so don't be surprised if your doctor tells you that the new, reduced payments for your care are so low that he no longer can accept Medicare. That's happening all over America.

      Good Morning Tom,

      Good Morning billybuc,

You and I are in agreement about politicians. As for Medicare, is budget has been massacred and changes are on the way. Obama thinks of Medicare as his personal piggybank and that does not bode well for seniors. See you at the Inn. Drinks are on me!
