Jay Rockefeller: What a Fascist Moron

Updated on November 18, 2010

Constitution? What is that?

In case you missed it, Jay Rockefeller spoke out today on the media and showed his true colors. During a Senate hearing on retransmission consent Jay Rockefeller said, "I'm tired of the right and the left. There's a little bug inside of me which wants to get the FCC to say to Fox and to MSNBC, 'Out. Off. End. Goodbye." Really? A bug inside you? Seems to be the bug is up your (censored), Jay. This is a blatant disregard for the First Amendment, the Bill of Rights, and our Constitution.Don't get me wrong, I would love for Keith Olbermann to be quiet, but it is certainly not mine or the governments say. MSNBC's ratings will take care of that!

"It would be a big favor to political discourse; to our ability to do our work here in Congress; and to the American people, to be able to talk with each other and have some faith in their government and, more importantly, in their future," added Rockefeller. I guess it never occurred to the Senator that the FCC does not regulate cable channels....OOPS! Guess he also forgot that some citizens have actually read the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
I suppose, being a Senator, nothing would ever come of this. Of course not, a certain Senator from Massachusetts can get drunk, drive his car off a bridge and leave a young woman to drown while he swims to safety, gets re-elected term after term. Why would anyone be outraged at a simple disregard of the Constitution? Disregard seems to be the "in" thing anyway. We elected a President who has no regard for that sacred document, why not a few Senators to go along with him? Can't wait to see the comments I get for that one (chuckling)!
This is another example of what happens when we do not vet our candidates. Hell, they don't have to worry about being vetted while they are in office. They seem to think they can get away with whatever they want once they are in office. I am calling on the good people of West Virginia now; get rid of this (censored)head! Replace him as soon as possible. I believe he was re-elected in 2008, so you have four years to find someone (anyone!) to replace him with.

Great comment Tony, I just hope the people have not mobilized too late. Once they pass legislation it is hard to turn it back.

jt this is an example of the fear that is now coming from our elected officials who are trying to rule us with complete impunity. The bug Rockefeller had is called fear. And now the suits in DC are trying to control the flow of information because their lies and transgressions are being brought to the light of day in real time. The senate is trying to pass a bill that would have the FCC censor the internet , except that a Democrat Senator from Oregon killed the bill for the most part. But lame duck Feingold , Kyl from Arizona and Feinstein from California were trying to fast track it through. These are the actions of people who are scared because they know we citizens are onto them. And I like the fact that our Government is getting scared of it's citizens because that is how it hould be. The power is going back to the people and they are trying to fight against this groundswell of anger.

The Tea Party God bless them has turned the tide and they now know all of them are on probation.

I saw this hub in the sidebar of my hub about this very same topic!! I must admit that I think your hub is superior to mine. Unfortunately, I live in the dumb ass state that will ALWAYS continue to send this a**hole back to the senate forever. I will be following you now, I like what you have to say!

My apologies as well, I did not mean to leave out Queen Pelosi. Her re-election was no surprise though, her area is that size of a pinhead area by the bay in San Fran. Though not surprised, her re-election was just as revolting as Reid's.

No apology necessary Tiger. I am sure you did your part to try to avoid Reid's re-election.

Speaking as a Nevadan... My sincerest, deepest, and most humble apologies for the Reid fiasco.

I turned a resume into the Angle camp, but they'd gone with a Nationally experienced campaign manager. Reid had far better local ads, and more Union-enforced turn-out and ground money than Sharron could hope to match.

Jason, as I told Rachell the other day, some artist work in pastels or oils. I work in profanity. It's often very hard for me to hold back. My tongue (well, my typing hands) are often bleeding. I guess that is the price one has to pay to stay on Hub pages. I would surely be kicked off here. As a Marine, I was issued several words I take great pleasure in using. I certainly feel your pain. I could feel my face flushing red as I heard the honorable Senator speak.

I am looking forward to your Arizona marijuana hub. I am not real surprised, however, as they re-elected Reid. I think that was the worst blow on an otherwise great night.

      JT,

I am sure glad you handled this one, the choir might blush had I laid my teeth into this megalomaniac who has been sucking America dry since the 1980’s! It is irony wrapped in cynicism, Jay makes an outrageous anti-first amendment comment, upset that the little people are learning what low lives these cats are through “political discourse.” It’s a sickness friend that we are losing, I know a bunch of conservatives are giddy with this last election, but I am not fooled. The Liberals are unleashing a much stronger mind control agent over the insipid; Marijuana.

JT, how did a state like Arizona that turned bright red with this last election, pass the marijuana proposition? I am writing a rather lengthy hub about it…the more I see the bigger its getting.

There is very little about common sense that is either common or sense. Common sense said that the Sun orbited the earth, that the earth was flat, that man would disintegrate if he ever travelled at a speed of 30 mph.

Mass hypnotism is neither common sense or proof of validity.

Remember, as Lincoln said, "you can fool some of the people all of the time"

      Pleased to meet you all:-)

Eovery, agreed! I believe the left knows no limits. It was probably stupid enough a statement to get him re-elected.

This just shows how far the left will do to take away our freedoms. This is stupid for him to say this.

      Keep on hubbing!

Thank you for the comment CMerritt! I used to say common sense isn't so common anymore. But as you said, since this mid-term election, maybe it is making a come-back.

jt, i think these guys are going to start going - bye, bye!

the tea party is just a start of what I refer to as common sense. I think it is making a come-back with folk such as your self speaking out.

      Nice Hub!

But you know us stupid Americans wouldn't have voted out the wonderful Libs if it wasn't for Fox News, (not sure MSNBC helped at all with that process). So Fox News is evil because it has more control over stupid Americans than the wonderful Politicians in Washington that just want what is best for us.

      Awesome Hub.
