Labor Tactics on People of India.
How much Sir ? - Tank Full.
I Just watch the petrol bunks on my way to see how many motor bikes are waiting.
My driver is so scared of my car tank getting empty even though the fuel mater is showing just a hair size diameter above the empty mark, which means it can go 7 to 10 kilometers with out being stranded in road size in which case he thinks that he would have to walk all the way to a petrol bunk. and so he insists that it is better to fill the tank. I have to fill the tank with out any argument so as to really avoid being stranded on the road. However since past several months I had to fill my car tank full several times due to correct rumors that petrol prices will increase. My driver will say it will go up by Rs.2.50 and if we fill the tank we could save that much money as the tank would take getting filled.I would tell him let's fill it up to morrow and the next thing would be I hear in the news that from mid night the petrol prices would go up by Rs.2.50.This happened twice.
I remember the same tactics that I used talking about increase in work loads to labor many times during my stint in the textile industry of our country.in every textile mills that I have worked. I would know that we are going to get new technology incorporated in new textile machines that were ordered and which would need much less man power to look after several of these machines.by just one worker.I would keep talking about increasing the work load in the existing machines itself even though there was no such proposal. I had to do it so that when new machines came the workers would willingly agree with marginal increase in their wages but would have demanded unreasonable increase..This was called as labor tactics in the textile industry.
The present situation seems similar to the labor tactics that was and is in practice to increase the price of essential commodities by the authorities and marginally reduce when there is a country wide protest, hartal, bundh and strike with buses being burnt, cars kept by the road side set on fire and window panes of stores being smashed by rowdy elements when the authorities would reduce a marginal amount which was the excess that they had included in the increase.
During the month of May 2012 the oil company's increased the petrol prices by a unimmaginable a whooping increase of Rs.7.50.The increase was just after the parliament session and the entire political parties raised their voice in unision and said they would protest till the authorities rolled back the prices. One political party after another was on some TV channel crying that AM ADMI was suffering too much already and TV channels were showing people on Motor Cycles with all smiles as to how they would walk on the rope with their salary. No person in any car was showed by the TV channels talking about their budget being adjusted every now and then due to increase in petrol prices. The car people were not AM ADMI as per TV views.

Who gets to own a Petrol Bunk?.
It was not a good business 70 years ago to own a Petrol Bunk.My father wanted to own a petrol bunk and to own a bunk it was just for the asking but to own a petrol bunk it was required that you build the petrol station and my father's request for permission was rejected by his elder brother who considered it was below our dignity to sell petrol.
If my father had owned a petrol bunk I would be a billionaire and would not be writing this Hub. Today to own a Petrol Bunk is like to own a Bank.We never see the owner of the Petrol Bunk but only few boys clad in some dirty uniform. There won't be water or Air in the Bunk let alone a toilet and it was there you are likely to get sick if you use one. In my place in a small industrial town no petrol bunk is kept the way it should be kept.Oil company's report that they are making losses which needs some in depth study of how the balance sheet looks like.Domestic crude is sold to oil company's not at their cost but at international price.Does our crude oil cost as much as it costs in oil rich country's.Let's hope that the present state of oil industry be made transparent and let them show their actual cost sheet and details of production.Let us know how many petrol bunks were debarred from selling petrol for adulteration in their bunks.Petrol cost will go up to Rs.100 and over if there is no control.Rs.100.78 per liter. We all know that our petrol is made by our govt and sold by private petrol bunks all over the country. How many Petrol Bunks are in India ?.

Oil firms defer price cut to deny oppn the credit
Sanjay Dutta TNN
New Delhi: State-run fuel retailers don’t tire of flashing their “autonomy” to justify raising the price of petrol. But when it came to a reduction on Thursday, they suddenly appeared to have developed political bones: the three oil marketers hastily pulled back plans to cut price by 1.60 or so, excluding taxes, to prevent the opposition from taking credit.
They had raised petrol price by 6.28, excluding taxes, on May 23. The oil marketing firms and the government predictably justified the steepest-ever increase. But they also held out hope of a sharp cut on June 1, citing price trends in the Singapore bulk market for crude and petrol.
Broadly, oil marketers review prices on the 15th and on the last day of each month. Petrol price is arrived at by calculating the average Singapore price of gasoline in the preceding fortnight and the rupee’s exchange rate against the dollar.
According to oil ministry data, the average benchmark gasoline price declined to $114-115 a barrel in the second fortnight from $124 in the first fortnight of May -- which was used to jack up the price. Petrol prices may be cut next week
According to oil ministry data, the average benchmark gasoline price declined to $114-115 a barrel in the second fortnight from $124 in the first fortnight of May -- which was used to jack up the price. Crude too has declined to $106-107 a barrel from $111. The dollar exchange rate averaged Rs 54.96 against Rs 53.77.
Here’s how the math works: Every $1 rise in crude price impacts fuel price by 33 paise and every rupee fall in dollar exchange rate needs pump prices to be raised by 77 paise.
Government sources said the oil companies were now likely to reduce the price sometime in the middle of next week. But given the rupee’s continued slide against the dollar, there may not be much room. TNN.
( OIL COMPANY'S REDUCE PRICE by Rs.2.00 FROM Rs.7.50 with in a week after increase stating that Crude Oil price is reduced.)
