Live Each Day as if it Were the First and the Last

Updated on October 7, 2014

I was sent an email by a friend which consists simply of a You Tube video and the request to watch when I have the time. I found the time and I urge each of you to do the same. The words spoken by a young child and an elderly man are the absolute epitome of H.O.W. and what we need to do today to make our world a peaceful place in which to live.

I don't know if HP will allow this hub because it basically consists of only a video, but I cannot expound on the message given. Please take the time to watch this most important video. It is very humbling and I've heard no truer words spoken.

This says is all

God bless all of you and God bless our world.

Lots of Love,

Shauna aka bravewarrior

What a gem Shauna;so beautiful and oh so true.

Nature is what helped me mould to the person I am today.

Whatever the outside world held I could lose myself in Mother Nature's kingdom and I could be so sure that each mother bird would unconditionally look after her chick; each colour each magical sound did blend into the magic all around.

Today I love my life and more importantly I love myself.

Mother Nature's kingdom will forever touch me in a way nothing else does.

'Today is the first day of the rest of my life' and I intend to live my tomorrows to the full.

Such a beautiful and touching video Shauna.

Thank you for the bottom of my heart for sharing this priceless gem full of natural magic.

      Have a wonderful Sunday.

Lots of love from my little corner of Wales.

Wonderful messages, Shauna! I never tire of watching time-lapse photography of nature. It reveals such beauty and amazing details. The message of the old man to enjoy the gifts that are given to you each day is very heartwarming. Each minute we live is here and gone, never to be experienced again. And I love to study the clouds. My Mom and I used to see what shapes we could find in the sky--always a fun and interesting exploration.

I loved the little girl's idea about finding a path and following it to whatever may be at the end. What a wonderful way to go through a day! Thank you so much for sharing this amazing video. It certainly fits in with the H.O.W. theme very well. Voted Up, Awesome, Beautiful and Interesting as well as Useful. Also shared.

Grandmapearl, I did the same thing as a kid. I'd lay on my back in the grass and watch the clouds make shapes and patterns. It was a favorite pastime. Nature is truly a wonder and so is the human race. I'm hoping this video goes far and wide with the message it speaks. You certainly are doing your share and I appreciate that more than you know!

What an amazing video. I think most of my inspiration comes from enjoying the beauty of nature. Whether it is plants, animals, or people, with a little imagination, a new world is created. As a child, I remember watching different animals and making up stories of their lives. I found myself doing that with people too.

I read a saying, not long ago, that fluttered in my mind as I watched this video..."I dare to believe that God is giving me the courage to care enough to do something wonderful today." Even just a small smile to someone can brighten a stormy day.

Thanks for sharing this video and hub!

tlpoague, what a wonderful imagination you had as a child. And a caring one, at that. I love the saying you quoted. Beautiful.

Thanx for the great comment and enjoy your day!
