Don’t Just Lock Your Doors, Bolt Them and Watch Your Back; The Politicians Aren't

Updated on August 2, 2019

Ignore the in-my-face obvious issues and lend all of my attention to unwarranted, groundless non-issues? Not happening!

Another Young Life snuffed out.....

"They've found the body of young Mollie Tibbetts", those were the words heard yesterday, after weeks of holding on to hope that she'd be found alive.

Each time I saw her Dad doing an interview, he was keeping his chin up, he was optimistic, he felt she was still alive and just needed to be found.

I thought...if her Father had a gut feeling that she was still alive, then maybe.....

When the news broke that she had not only been found, but the man responsible for taking her precious life, had taken authorities to her lifeless body...I became chilled.

It's funny how we connect with certain people; strangers that we will more than likely never meet (or never have met) while here on earth. Mollie is one of those people, only twenty years old, her life had only just begun; a beautiful face, a beautiful smile, she could be the face which represents the Heartland and I felt a connection with her.

As the day went on, more news...that man....the person that took this precious life, shouldn't even be here in the United States Of America.

He broke our laws to enter in.

Authorities apparently have no idea of exactly how long he has been living here...illegally!

No idea!

They are throwing around some guesses.

Four to eight years is the last guess I heard.

No one knows for sure and that is scary!

Lawbreakers

Are we to believe that those who break laws in order to enter into the United States, aren't capable of breaking other laws?

That's what I am hearing every single day from the Democrats.

The Dems will paint the most pitiful picture of the plight of all illegal entry lawbreakers....all while painting a horrible picture of our President and then placing it in the worst light possible, he who chooses to focus on the safety of American citizens!

We've all seen the video of the Philadelphia Mayor dancing....literally, dancing with delight, with the knowledge, that 'his city' was on the fast track to becoming a sanctuary city.....among other sanctuary cities!

He’s obnoxiously giddy and it isn’t the dancing, but the idea of why he is dancing....that makes me sick to my stomach.

I wonder if he is dancing today?

I heard a simple description today as to why tragedies such as this, are made worse, when done by individuals that should not even be here.

  • All automobile accidents do not involve alcohol, but none of them should!

The fact that her life was not only taken away from those who gave her life and from those that loved her so, but it was taken away by someone that should not have been in Iowa. By someone whom the Democratic Party has decided belongs here, regardless of how he got here.

A dozen or so years ago, Barack Obama, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi were all on the same page. They were adamant and active in pushing the message that our borders cannot and must not be ignored!

All and then some.....were out and about, doing speeches about protecting this Nation, by strengthening security at our borders.

Suddenly, because these people are void of any core values, they put their fingers to the wind and sensed a change of direction of things, combined with their hate for our President....it was a simple task for them to change course!

  • It is all about bowing to their base, (which has become more radicalized in the past dozen years or so)
  • It is about keeping their seats
  • It is about them, holding on to any power they feel they have
  • It is about votes
  • It is all about undermining President Trump

Where does that leave you and me.....

Chuck Schumer in 2009 -"Illegal Immigration is wrong....."

Immigration and The Law

Are you familiar with Kate's Law and the the ‘No Sanctuary for Criminals Act’?

When Kate Steinle was killed by an illegal alien in California, a law was introduced (H.R. 3004), putting protections in place for U.S. citizens, by increasing penalties on those who enter illegally, are deported, only to return again and again. The man that killed Kate, had been deported multiple times and 'his city' (not Kate's) continued to protect him....leaving Kate to pay the price!

Another law was introduced, (H.R. 3003) this law seeks to defund the cities of defiant Mayors, those that think offering sanctuary to lawbreakers is a 'dancing' matter....and of no real concern to them!

Kate's Law is currently in limbo in the Senate, after passing the House in 2017, with a vote of 257 to 157 and ‘No Sanctuary’ passed the House 228 to 195.

It's something. It is an attempt...to do something!

Immigration laws have been ignored for far too long and here of late, instead of the focus being where it belongs...on those breaking our laws to enter in, particularly the criminal element and to those 'Politicians' that only care about votes and power, not you...not me, it is on our Immigration and Customs Agents

Known to us as I.C.E., how could we forget I.C.E., we are regularly exposed to footage of their enemies; masked, foul-mouthed, hate-filled troublemaking punks, as they are repeatedly seen and heard in the streets...condemning all authority, with their f--- I.C.E., f--- borders, f--- walls, f--- police, f- - - the U.S.A., chants.

(Their Parents must be so proud...if they can recognize their little munchkins behind their hamburglar disguises)

Former Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Thomas D. Homan is quoted as saying, "of 143,470 people the agency arrested {in 2017}, 74% had one or more criminal convictions and another 15% were facing criminal charges”. John Kelly has stated that I.C.E. has arrested some 66,000 individuals this year that were either known or suspected to be in this country illegally and that of that number, 48,000 were convicted criminal aliens!

In the meantime, the masked minds of mush are out in the streets referring to I.C.E. agents as racists and Nazis.....

In the meantime.....another family, greatly affected, in the worst possible way, by a criminal element entering into our Country illegally, protected by ignorant leftists, will be saying their goodbyes and burying a loved one!

Sanctuary City

In North America, a city whose municipal laws tend to protect undocumented immigrants from deportation or prosecution, despite federal immigration law.

Mayors refer to this defiant act, as providing sanctuary to those immigrants, illegally in their city.

These municipal laws prohibit police or other authorities from questioning people about their legal status, all while denying requests for information on the federal level.

Well thank you Paula, but I have missed nothing, that is, if you believe what Jesus said, how did it go?

"Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven."

So many "Christians" miss that calling, to their shame. Think about that. To much to ask in return for His love?

Shannon, I hope it all sorts itself out, things are rarely simple and rarely go according to plan.

But, in the case of securing our border, finishing the wall, expecting all to enter in legally, it is that simple and those playing these games should not continually get away with it.

What a great sermon, T. You missed your true calling.

Angie, I sort of half-listened to the majority of Rush this afternoon (in my car)......I say half-listened because I did a lot of talking. I am rarely disappointed in his shows/topics. I actually can answer you by asking a question that I firmly believe has an obvious outcome. So, don't you sincerely believe that sooner or later, all of "them" (you know who).....will be rudely & frighteningly awakened by what occurs on a massive level, due to our borders being so wide open? Not that there hasn't been more than enough damage, crime, heartache & financial burdening....but what I mean is, I just can't help but wonder if it will take one or 2 or a few serious tragedies that might just affect THEM personally......Heaven forbid. Maybe then they'll stop the insanity? Realize they're playing politics with our very lives? Maybe? That's all I have to add.

Angie, I'd say it's no secret that insiders still don't want Trump there. But as for the show, I haven't listened to much of anything lately. I've had my hands full dealing with tenants lately. Funny thing is that they aren't the biggest problem - the incompetent management company is! And the total remodel that keeps changing into more work.....it was supposed to just be a simple rent house. Ugh. Didn't we agree to take a vacation from work? How about one to the border?

Speaking of the border, I have an old friend from somewhere near El Paso. He and his wife and kids went to visit family, I believe. For some reason they went near the border wall and got questioned by the police. They said the officers were all polite and just doing their jobs. Security is never a bad thing.

Besides, I can't believe that while everyone preaches about how walls aren't needed and that not every illegal person is killing citizens, they don't also mention how many people die in the scorching desert because they tried something stupid. A wall would be safer for everyone. Come legally. It's that simple.

Who implied I was perfect? I never did, nor did I ever imply that those verses were anything but what the Bible says about it.

You seem to think I think I am better than any other sinner? Don’t know where you get that idea while you obviously think yourself as being above adherence to scripture, adherence which btw doesn’t gain you God’s love. Only accepting Christ and his atonement for your sins bestows God’s love upon you. Only then can God love you just as you are which don’t forget is the same as the rest of us, a sinner.

Back to the topic at hand, Rush has been talking about this bill just signed by the President, reluctantly, so as NOT to go through another Gov shutdown. The 'crap' that is thrown in, in order for us to supposedly gain security and work toward having a much SAFER Nation..... further inhibits the President and Border Patrol from doing their job effectively. The security of this Nation is apparently all a big joke to this crowd.

Rush is speculating that the D.C. insiders STILL do not want Trump there, do not believe he belongs there and they are teaching all of us 'a lesson' to never, ever consider electing an outsider again.

I agree and hope that every single Trump supporter, every single reluctant-Trumper, every single lukewarm citizen... out there is paying close attention to what is happening and refuses to be silent and accept it!

The truth is, I really have no excuse. I'd been around people who cussed often and I picked up the "bad" habit. I'll never be one to have every word out of mouth be a cuss word, though. Sometimes, a choice word or two seems to be the best choice in the moment. Also depends on where I am. Let me put it this way, it's so rare most of the time that when I cussed at work because someone scared the crap out of me on purpose no one else believed him that I did. It was a joke to everyone that he made me cuss.

As for these "ilks", I haven't watched the news in months. You and maybe a couple of other people here on HP and FB are my main sources of what is going on in the government. And I don't bother arguing with friends and/or family on FB whose opinions differ. These days, I try hard to avoid disrupting internal peace.

Thank you Shannon, I'm glad that you and most here, 'get' the analogy!

Sometimes we are just going along, thinking we are making perfect sense and the next thing we know, we are called "sociopaths".....such is LIFE in America 2019, as the left seeks to destroy our President, those who support his efforts, (sometimes almost pulling off making him and his supporters come off as horrible people...with much help from MSM) and working to turn the U.S.A. into something unrecognizable.

      That's their mission.

That's what we are up against!

    • shanmarie profile image

      Shannon Henry

Why apologize for the analogy? It makes sense. No car accident should involve alcohol, but it happens. And measures are taken to prevent that from happening as often. Just as no one should be harmed by someone illegally in our country, but it does some times happen (not always). Therefore, measures should be taken to prevent harm from those who should not be here.

My confusion was in trying to follow the sociopath comments and the reasons your analogy wasn't accepted for what it was. LOL

    • tsadjatko profile image

7 months ago from now on

Shannon, “How did it go from a simple analogy about alcohol and car injuries to illegals and injuries to something way off topic that quickly? Gun control and car licenses????? An entirely different debate. Geesh! ”

Very good observation and a confirmation of how it got there is the looney logic of Joc who calls us all sociopaths, and I quote:

“Only a sociopath wouldn't consider those examples emergencies.“ ~ Joc

and then claims i am insulting him with his own looney logic. He is an example of exactly what Rush Limbaugh explains is a derranged mentally sick left wing populace that is corrupting every phase of our culture with their looney logic!

Yes no doubt, it did go a different direction fast, but that’s what happens every single time, a case is being made against open borders, Illegal entry, socialism, abortion, whatever the subject, it goes off any many directions, because the left and the right are so very far apart on every subject.

My comment about “no accidents should involve alcohol”, has a place in this argument, to drive home the point of this article, but I’m afraid that’s what initially led to this going off in the direction it did.

That’s on me, my apologies to those following.

Most mass shooters weren't bad guys before going on their sprees, so it's not the bad guys I'm concerned with. Bringing concealed carry up is comparative to someone getting a CDL, not getting a license to drive.

If he left the scene, how do you know all those details? Did the police catch him?

    • tsadjatko profile image

Why do you entertain the likes of deranged Joc?

Really, his presence is an embarrasment to all of humanity.

When shown, as he has been shown multiple times on your hub pages AB just how looney his reasoning is it is a joke to take anything he says seriously.

Whenever it is demonstrated that there is no logic to whatever he just said he changes the subject. For example (like everything he says is an example) tge subject was what merits a national emergency. He states and I quote:

“40,000 deaths last year couldn't be considered a national emergency? Children being shot in schools? Only a sociopath wouldn't consider those examples emergencies.“

      By his own stated logic

      JOC IS the SOCIOPATH

if he considers that quote to be a justification for a national emergency and doesn’t consider the deaths and child deaths and injuries, magnitudes larger than gun deaths (when you consider 40,000 is a made up figure that doesn’t represent gun violence but many suicides - left wing false talking point)

And so he tries to change the subject from what qualifies as a national emergency to the purpose of guns or the purpose of cars!

As I said, he is an embarrasment as a representative of humanity’s intellectual ability.

    • abwilliams profile imageAUTHOR

Seriously Valeant? Do you have any idea what one must go through to conceal carry? That is, for those of us that obey the law. A bad guy will do what a bad guy will do.

The illegal who ran into my daughter a few years ago, didn’t have a license, insurance, registration, i.d. of any form, he was highly intoxicated operating a motor vehicle and he slammed into the back of my daughter, while she was stopped at a light, she could have died that night! He didn’t acknowledge or follow our laws, he thought he was above all that! He showed no remorse for what he did, he left the scene without knowing or caring the havoc he created or whether my daughter was dead or alive was of no concern to him. I have no idea what became of him. I pray he hasn’t killed someone.

      Great points all Shannon.

When you mentioned Chicago and some wanting to make it a State or whatever, I immediately thought about the movies ‘Escape from New York’, and ‘Escape from L.A.’, starring Kurt Russell as Snake Plissken. I thought there you go....a 3rd film, Escape from Chicago! Except, it’s not Chicago as a federal penitentiary everyone is trying to escape... it’s Chicago once run by Dems, now run by gangs and illegals with guns (the law-abiding citizens are the only ones who don’t have guns) and everyone is trying to escape the violence...lol, yes this is where my mind goes. (Hollywood?)

Did you see Escape from New York? I need to see if I can find that one and watch it again.

Pardon me, please, while I go bury my head in the sand again. It's so much more peaceful down there and I have the illusion of safety since I can't see the danger around me. (Although, I have been bitten by an ostrich before and I could swear they have rows of teeth that they use when they think they are in danger! Just sayin'.) Also, I am aware that they don't actually bury their heads.

Anyway, I grew up in IL and I think it's a political mess. My aunt posted something the other day that she swears is a real thing. Someone is trying to pass a bill to make Chicago its own state. I'll just leave that at that.

One more thing, why do people arguing against national security not stop to consider that if the government and citizens alike could rest assured we didn't have an influx of people who shouldn't be here constantly getting lost in the system then we could maybe focus on the other issues that could be considered national emergencies from within?

Oh, I lied. ONE more thing. Just for laughs......Several years ago, I was putting together tax information for my husband and myself. I was asked to enter some kind of pin number that we'd never created. I had no problem creating my own, but it said that my husband already had one, so we couldn't file our taxes. It turns out that someone else somewhere out of state used his social security number to file. All we know about this person is that he was apparently a migrant worker who somehow thought he earned himself a $19,000 tax return. Here's the funny part: my husband owed the IRS more than that amount and they took the return. Not so funny - they didn't leave the credit on our bill because it wasn't technically ours. Bummer, right? We would've had it paid off sooner. Haha. We finally got that identity theft all straightened out, but now it always takes forever to get our return back.

On a not so funny note, identity theft is a serious problem that is WAY too common because there are WAY too many people here illegally.

So the bad guy who is an American citizen will find a way to do harm, no matter what we do, and there's no policy changes we can make to stop them from being able to kill innocent people.

It would be interesting to see the lost American lives to mass shooters to the ones taken by illegal immigrants. Because for every instance of a Mollie you throw out there, I can answer it with a list of people where no policy changes are being addressed to halt the next incident from occurring.

The difference seems to be that we care more about the few lives taken by those not from our country than the many lost by its own citizenry. I have trouble with an administration that shifts the focus away from the bigger threat to the citizenry.

Whoops didnt men to submit that yet.

For 2016 specifically, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) data shows 37,461 people were killed in 34,436 motor vehicle crashes, an average of 102 per day.

In 2010, there were an estimated 5,419,000 crashes, 30,296 with fatalities, killing 32,999, and injuring 2,239,000. About 2,000 children under 16 die every year in traffic collisions. Records indicate that there were 3,613,732 motor vehicle fatalities in the United States from 1899 to 2013.

Yep, by far automobiles are a national emergency!

Doesn’t Illinois have some of the strictest gun laws in the land Valeant? Who is in charge in Illinois? Dems? Sounds as if some incompetents dropped the ball. Hopefully, they will figure out what happened. If it was allowed to happen...

Shame on them, but bigger shame on the bad guy, life taker, he who just wanted everyone in his path.....dead, as he pulled the trigger time and time again! People like him, with hate in their heart, messed up in the head, whatever was going on with him and others like him, they will always find a way.

As for the illegal who took the life of Mollie:

      1) He shouldn’t even be here in the States

      2) Dems shouldn’t fight for him to be here in the States, illegally, putting U.S. citizens in danger

      3) Dems shouldn’t turn their backs on the ‘Mollies’ of this Nation, by offering sanctuary and showing favoritism to illegals (all lawbreakers, many with criminal backgrounds) hoping for their instant or eventual vote. Hoping to win them over, for life

Again, it is made worse, because he shouldn’t have been here, on our soil.

Do you agree with the following statement?

All automobile accidents do not involve alcohol, but none of them should.

Sorry, had to travel for work and then catch up on the latest mass shooting where the system failed to catch that the shooter was a convicted felon and not supposed to be sold a handgun. But even better, they realized that he wasn't but never forced him to relinquish it. No national emergency here though.

Only in our country can a guy use victims killed by illegal immigrants as cause for border security policy, but not use victims killed in mass shootings to justify gun controls.

Maybe you've heard of that Congress thing that exists to control the allocation of taxes. It's in that thing called the Constitution.

40,000 deaths last year couldn't be considered a national emergency? Children being shot in schools? Only a sociopath wouldn't consider those examples emergencies.

As for climate change, yeah, you're right. I mean 95% of the scientists on the planet must know less than Rush Limbaugh.

Lol, subvert what democratic institution? The border? What does a socialist like you care about democratic institutions anyway?

Climate change and gun violence? Both have been present since the beginning of mankind or the invention of guns. No one on Earth with a brain would consider the state of either an emergency threat to national security while anyone with a brain knows terrorists, illegals, felons, traffickers, drug runners pouring over our border burdening the country financially is not only a threat to national security but the fact the Democrats in control of government are for all of that and dedicated to open borders make it an emergency!

The left is derranged and as Rush spells it out today they are the biggest threat to the country. https://youtu.be/N_teK26YO08

I was once told that I'm contradictory to myself. I never did quite figure out what that meant exactly. Because when I'm not confused emotionally or in general, I'm fairly steady in my values and opinions. This is hardly a matter of a change of heart, though. It's an example of why no one trusts a politician. Hell, I have enough two-faced people in my life. Dealing with one in a work situation right now, though not as much as before. This person is still enough of an influence on other aspects that it irritates me. Never takes responsibility and always pins it on someone else. The person who needs to see what is going on is blind to it while everyone else seems to have posted sooooo many bad reviews online about the person in question. I wonder how? Just how does someone like that keep coming up smelling like a rose......and then it happens daily in the political arena as well. Owing people an explanation, money, the right thing......but it's purely selfish gain that wins out instead.

Lol, I can’t take credit for the number man - my father taught me that plus many other similar things like making a rat out of a handkerchief or two birds sitting on a fence, string tricks with your hands and string - he knew so many things for kids he must have been taught in the orphanage he grew up in.

I have to laugh that you mentioned nail polish - you must be clairvoyant! My mother went to the store to get stuff for my 1year old birthday party which they were celebrating that day. We lived in a tiny one room apartment with a fold out bed and my father was watching me until she got back. Well he fell asleep on the couch and I got into the buffet where they had an ink pen and jar of ink which I opened and proceeded to spill all over the apartment, me and my father on the couch. My mother came home to that with dad still asleep on the couch.

The only way I found out about this is when I was in second grade my mother was changing the sheets on my bed and I asked her why there were ink stains on the mattress. They were always there, I just never thought about them. That's when I learned what happened .... and why we had 1 year old birthday party pictures of my brother but not me.

Fine tune that talent Paula, I think you are on to something.

You are right Paula, my father wouldn’t even buy me a basketball. Anytime we wanted a toy, even for Christmas, he always said no they are too expensive! But you know what he did instead. Once he knew what we wanted he’d go to stores on Christmas Eve and look for demos or open boxes on sale. One Christmas all our friends were getting revolutionary war sets and of army men and on Christmas Eve he talked the salesman at Kresges into combining three sets that had been opened and a few pieces missing into one for the price of one set. We were the envy of the neighborhood that christmas!

So for the most part we had songs and riddles to pass the time...like I can draw the head of a person using the numbers 1 - 10 https://youtu.be/cj0yGJfVtxk

Actually that is a modern version of the hole in the bottom of the sea. The original, at least what I learned (oh of course as a child of white privelege) had a smile on a flea on a fly on a wart on a frog on a bump on a log in a hole on the bottom of the sea. (actually as a teenager I changed it to a smile on a flea on a fly on a wart on a frog on a leaf on a twig on a branch on a bough on a bump on a log in the bottom of the sea)

Of course frogs don’t have warts and fleas don’t smile (do they?) but hey, it’s a children’s song.

Thanks Paula, now this is a good way to demonstrate how a liberal would deal with your “racist” statement.

      First misrepresent what you said,

“Oh, so you think Hispanics are immoral!”

Then make that a straw man to argue against using false comparisons.

“That is no more immoral than a white supremacist song like “There’s a hole in the bottom of the sea”

      https://youtu.be/R1Qn2bcZRTo”

“So you are a racist for calling Hispanics immoral and cuckoo”

At the risk of being called a racist on top of a troll I’m going to say that sounds just like Joc’s arguments on anything.

Hahaha....There's a version about the cockroach being unable to walk because it has no marijuana to smoke. None of the versions translate well into English. But as far as silly folk songs go, English has plenty of our own.

Actually, I wish I were fluent in Spanish. That's another problem with immigration. I can speak some and understand more than I speak. But I don't let on that I know any whenever a customer asks me - because if I did that, I can't carry on enough of a conversation to take care of the customer. This particular song, though, is just one that I happen to remember they lyrics to because it is so famous. That and Bilar la Bamba, which is actually saying "para bilar la bamba se necessita un poco de gracia". To dance the bamba you need to have a litle grace. Not la la la la la bamba. Hahahaha.

But anyway.....I do not recall the verse of the La Cucaracha about the woman in the river. Is the moral of this story that not even a river will stop illegal immigration?

Well, well, you guys.... I can't say as I ever knew the English to La Cucaracha, & although we danced to the melody in school, we never sang it or translated it!!

That song sounds like a damned nightmare, not to mention the lyrics are plain stupid! A bald man finding a comb on the RR tracks...oh please! Bathing in a river & being bit by a cockroach?? If Lady Claire had died, her name would be the same?? Oh, really? How special!

I could have been perfectly happy never knowing those lyrics! LOL

      Shanon you are right:

      The Cockroach Traditional Song(English)

      (Chorus)

      The cockroach, the cockroach,

      Can't walk anymore

      Because it doesn't have,

      Because it's missing

      Two little back legs.

      People they say the cockroach

      Is a very small animal

And when it gets into a house,

It'll soon be the master of it all.

      (Chorus)

When a boy loves a girl

And she doesn't love him back

It's the same as if a bald man

Finds a comb on the railroad track*.

      (Chorus)

      My neighbor across the street

Had Lady Claire as her name

      And if she hadn't died

She still would be called the same.

      (Chorus)

      When Rita was bathing

      In the San Fernando River

      The cockroach stung her

      But she kept on swimming.

      (Chorus)

JOC You are un-parsing. Right now as developed and enhanced by Obama this is how it is carried out. Using the civil sanctions to just remove which is the cheapest way to deal with it.

But we only have to look at our 9/11 overstayers and see clearly that the overstaying was part of the intent. They dang well knew they were going to overstay (99% of all overstayers) There is your crime. Lying (intentionally misrepresenting) in order to enter. Boom boom boom it is a crime to overstay. Of course minor exceptions. (this is actually a funny one -- person is here legally but commits a serious crime and is incarcerated and can't leave - we can see he did not intend that ;-)

Yes the laws have to be enforced and therefor we must clean up and debate the new laws. I had some association with folks from Vietnam who voluntarily went into "weigh stations" while waiting for approval. Some upgrade needed but it could work for the poorest and the most likely refugees. I have trouble with Mexican nationals. It seems they could all say refugee because of cartels. And that is probably valid.

      Just tossing that out there.

You quoted the law for illegal entry. These people did not enter illegally. What they are doing by overstaying is not considered a crime. The police have no authority over their action, only ICE. ICE is tasked with doling out the penalty for overstaying, which is deportation. This should be part of the change in the laws, honestly.

Let us see here; You said " 45% of the people here illegally got here by overstaying a visa" Illegal is a term of art meaning clearly in violation of the law and criminal in nature. So it was you who was mistaken.

Now for political reasons one might just say "we can pick you up, hold you in jail and then move your body outside of the country" But that is only civil???

And don't forget that cool law that Clinton got impeached over and I think the same for Martha Stewart. No crime just lying and an overstayer has to misrepresent their intentions as a matter of course. Whether or not the got here illegally is per se a criminal investigation.

Don't believe Wikipedia and lawyers who just want you business.

Eric, you just don't seem to understand. Illegal entry is for people who illegally cross the border, which is a crime. Those that come here legally, but overstay a visa do not fall into the code you keep quoting, or I should say misapplying.
