Melania Trump: Model, Magic Visa Holder, Chain Migrator, and Spurned Spouse

Who is Melania Trump?

Melania Trump nee Knauss was born in Novo Mesto, Slovenia. She became a model early in life and worked in Europe, including fashion capitals like Paris and Milan. In 1996 Melania then took a trip on a visitor’s visa over to the United States and is thought to have worked about 10 illegal modelling jobs under this visa before returning home to get an H1B visa -- an immigration violation Trump seems unconcerned with.

Once Melania received her H1B visa she became a working model in the United States. She continued updating H1B visas until she met Donald Trump at a party in New York City in 1998. The two began to date, and soon grew very close.

The "Einstein" Visa

After Melania was deeply in a relationship with Trump, she applied for an EB-1 visa, otherwise called an Einstein visa because it is the highest level visa marked for individuals showing remarkable achievements or extraordinary abilities.

Although Melania was no supermodel, having only one relatively minor cover having to do with her relationship with Trump and her biggest claim to fame being in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue one year, she was granted the visa.

To put the rarity of the visa in perspective, only five people from Melania's country of Slovenia received EB-1 visas the year Melania got hers… with the probable help of The Donald.

Family and Marriage

By 2004 the pair were engaged. Donald and Melania Trump were married on January 22nd, 2005 and Melania became a citizen in 2006. That year, Melania gave birth to the couple’s only son, Barron.

Melania has since been using her status as a new American to bring her parents to the United States. Those with a kinder disposition would consider this family reunification, but this is exactly what President Trump is talking about when he rails against chain migration and how it must end.

Melania’s parents are close to getting their permanent residencies so shouldn’t be affected by their son-in-law’s desire to make laws against their immigration into the United States illegal. Strangely, we have never seen Trump complain about, or even mention, his own wife’s use of “chain migration” to help her own family rejoin each other in the United States despite his expressed hatred for other people bringing their families into the country after them so they can be together.

But Did Melania Find it Funny?

At the 2018 Gridiron Dinner, in front of Melania, Trump joked about all the people leaving the white house. He then added, "Now, everyone keeps asking is 'Who is going to be the next to leave? Steve Miller or Melania?" Ouch.

Pornstars and Playboys

In January of 2018 it came out that porn star, Stormy Daniels, had claimed in In Touch magazine to having a long affair with Donald Trump around the time Melania was pregnant with Barron and when he was a young baby.

Daniels received a payoff of $130,000 shortly before the 2016 election to sign a nondisclosure agreement, one she almost backed out of because the payment was so delayed. This payment could amount to campaign finance reform.

For now, one of Trump’s attorney’s, Michael Cohen, claims he paid Daniels with his own money and was never paid back. This could still lead to legal problems because an individual cannot give that much to a campaign, but that has not been determined yet. Also, since Cohen came forward about the payment, he may have violated the nondisclosure form allowing Ms Daniels to now come forward and talk.

There is also the case of Karen McDougal, a Playboy Playmate who says she had an affair with Donald Trump from June 2006 to April 2007. Once again, this affair was when Barron was a small baby.

McDougal says Trump offered her money after sex, lavish dinners and overnight stays, and other perks… but he never left a paper trail.

After her affair was over, McDougal signed a deal with American Media Inc, the company that owns the National Enquirer to tell her story for $150,000. However, the owner of the company, David Pecker, is a great friend of Donald Trump’s. He squashed the story and it never saw daylight.

A former member of American Media Inc., Mr. Jerry George, says the company has a habit of buying anti-Trump stories and burying them to protect The Donald. “We never printed a word about Trump without his approval,” George told The New Yorker.

At This Point Melania Seems to be Avoiding Physical Contact with Trump

Here is video from Presiden Macron's visit from France in April. While Macron was kissing his wife's hand, Trump was surreptitiosly trying to hold Melania's hand. She tries hard to avoid it, but eventually he latches on like a lamprey eel sucking itself onto a shark.

Melania does NOT want to shake hands

The infamous "I Really Don't Care. Du U?" Jacket.

On June 21st, 2018 Melania Trump went to visit some of the jails the kidnapped immigrant children are being kept in, torn from their mothers and fathers. To mark the event, she wore a jacket that blatantly said, "I Really Don't Care. Do u?"

President Trump shakily declared that the jacket was talking about the media, which really doesn't make sense given Mrs. Trump's mission to visit the children. This raises the question, how callous and cold-hearted can you be to purposely tell the terrified children you are going to visit that you really don't care about them?

And So On

From what we can see of Donald Trump’s behavior, he is a narcissist who is willing to ignore subjects he supposedly cares greatly about, such as “chain migration,” if it affects his own family. Trump seems also willing to carry on multiple affairs while his wife is taking care of their young child. Melania Trump may well have known exactly what she was getting into when she married Donald Trump. She bought a ticket to a life of fame and luxury, but was the cost really worth it?

You are right on the mark, Teeuwynn. Donald Trump is a supreme narcissist. All of his actions both pre-presidency and now have been engineered to satisfy his desires and ego. He has no desire to do what is right for America because he feels he is America. He is very wrong and very dangerous. Excellent Hub.

Yes, she speaks a number of languages, although that didn't get her the visa. It does seem to be a very strange family, though. I have heard some of the same stories you have heard.

She's a smart woman, she speaks five languages, I believe. I hope she divorces him in the White House. Trump really is a sociopath. Even Ivana said he ignores his children until they are graduated from college. Melania and Barron would be better off without him.

Ivanka still refers to her father as "Daddy." Jared does the same. Isn't that weird at their ages? I know in TX people do that.
