Michele Bachmann--I’ve got mine

Updated on May 27, 2012

Washington, DC, July 27, 2011—The inimitable Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN), presidential candidate and national oxymoron, had been the forerunner of those attacking Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac for government loans that contributed to the financial crisis in 2008. According to the Washington Post, weeks before calling for an end to the program, the gentlewoman from and her husband, Doctor “clap-your-hands-and- say- that- you-believe that- you-are-not-gay, quietly applied for and received one of the loans she has reviled in public.

Apparently the tea thrown into the harbor belonged to the lower classes, while those who threw it overboard—with the papoose—are brewing up a cuppa in the privacy of their own salons.

Explanation of the metaphor mélange available on request.
