More Illegals? Obama Steps To The Domestic Plate To Distract The US From The International One

Updated on September 3, 2014

There still is a POTUS Obama....

There still is a POTUS Obama,

In charge of leading the drama.

He's vacationed and ready,

The times still so heady;

Will someone please get him an amah!

With the time still ticking down for the deporting of illegal immigrants, including the minor children of illegal immigrants, and having already promised he will act because Congress isn't acting on immigration policy, President Obama has an opportunity.

His opportunity is one of distracting us from the overseas series of crises with Putin, Ukraine, Syria, ISIS, Iraq, Ebola, and our border insecurities, and to do something startling with America's immigration policy.

A definition: illegal = unlawful, illicit; violating the established law.

Now there is only so much a President of The United States (POTUS) can do by executive fiat that will have any lasting impact (including perhaps his Affordable Care Act which is always up for review and his own versions of "executive fine tuning".)

Besides calling Russia (read Putin there) a liar in the United Nations, promising relief for those fighting the ebola virus, aid to the Kurds, death to ISIS, and a Middle East "coalition" to solve all the Middle East's problems, POTUS desperately wants to hit the campaign trail to bolster the Demorats efforts to hold onto control of the Senate during his last two years in office

With that aforementioned slew of international crises, the best way to shift the focus to U. S. politics is to do something startling here at home.

What could startle anyone more than some new policy on the latest crush of new illegal immigrants? That's "new," not the 11,000,000 already settled in to their illegal American lives.

That America's policy for legally handling the illegals is sorely lacking in realistic policy, is a given. That we are sending more homeward, as more and more come (sometimes for the second, third, etc. time) is one thing, but that rural farmers in Arizona and New Mexico now have to dodge the drug caravans and other criminals crossing their properties is another.

So far, "border security" is a mess because it is run by bureaucrats in Washington rather than the people on the ground.

Can we really have a realistic immigration policy, when we don't even know who is entering illegally and why?

Here comes POTUS to the rescue of immigration policy! Keep your eyes and ears open at the same time that you pray for a happier, more peaceful world in which people can be happy and safe to stay at home rather than complicate the lives of legal Americans in America.

According to some Democrats, the latest word is that President Obama has promised "no major executive action on immigration until after the election." We will see and hear what we see and hear, but he has already set the stage to blame Republicans for the border on the basis that Republicans in the House of Representatives turned down his multi-billion dollar request for his failure to show how it would be paid for.

dahoglund - It (the unity) could happen again. The present divisiveness came from the politics of "divide and conquer": breaking the electorate down into subgroups which could be promised whatever that group wanted, then on to the next group, until every subgroup had been promised something to secure their votes along with the admonition that "the other guys won't give you that, in fact they will take away at least some of what you already have!" It will happen this time, too.

There was one thing about growing up in the WWII environment. Even as kids we sort of knew we were all in it together. For various reasons that is no longer the case.

By they I meant the government.

Such is the story of most second term, lame duck presidents, and this one has his own handicaps. Watch Hillary trying to distance herself and take other Democrats with her away from him.

Agreed the POTUS is ready to rock, but his options are limited and his allies are growing fewer and weaker with time.

I'm not quite sure what "they" you are referring to. ISIS I presume, and from the short time the public in America has known about ISIS' form of Islam, I would say there is nothing they wouldn't do. There was already a term for such terrorists: cutthroats.

What about the beheading of Foley isn't it a good distraction too? What wouldn't they do to distract us?
