New York Is On The Cusp Of Sanctioning Same-Sex Marriages

The local New York news, substantiated by the powers that be up at Albany, says that same-sex marriage is almost a sad reality in New York. We are also being told that the delay on the formal vote by the legislatures has to do with Albany’s Herculean efforts to carve out a ‘safe-harbor’ area of the pending law… whereby preachers like mine and the Catholic church that do not compromise the Bible’s proscription against same sex unions, much less marriages, will be able to say that the gay behavior is sinful… without being deemed ‘hate speech.’ I for one is not going to fall for that ploy because I am almost certain that the ‘safe harbor’ mentioned above will be abandoned by politicians… and with the gays reneging on their promise of not prosecuting, under the Constitutional rubric of ‘hate-speech,’ those who hold a traditional view of marriage.

Two years ago, my wife and I received a flyer from my daughter’s school – she was five then – informing us that they were about to convey to our daughter… information on safe sex and the gay lifestyle. I do not know what happened in the short interim, but another flyer soon followed from the school’s principal profusely apologizing. I look at that happening as the New York school system Progressives gauging to see how traditional Christians parents would react about the gay agenda – but I say to them that hell will freeze over before I teach my daughter, or children to come, such polar opposites to my religious take on the gay issue.

I always found it ironic that my position on gay marriage is deemed hateful, yet, supposedly, it is the same position held by President Obama. The reason why many gays do not call out President Obama is because they know that the President is ‘winking’ and in essence saying that my position, unlike that of Verily Prime, is not etched in religious conviction, but to garner votes. Most of us who are traditional Christians are not fooled by the President; by the very facts that all of Hollywood, the gays, and the abortions rights people like President Obama was more than enough evidence not to vote for this man. It is why also that I am not surprise that New York’s Mayor Bloomberg is championing same-sex-marriage, especially since he has won a third mayoral term and is not eligible to run again.

As for the New York same-sex-marriage legislation, if enacted, marked my prose that ‘hate speech’ legislation will soon follow. I am still hoping that this same-sex-law will not see the light of day, whereby the intending Liberal Progressive consequences of intruding on how traditional Christians parents raise their children or the intrusion in how traditional preachers preach… adhering to the words of the Bible, incidentally not written in allegorical or symbolic language, which proscribed same-sex-marriages.

There are many questions that must be addressed because of same-sex-legislations: what happens if gays are allowed to sue, via hate crime laws, in California and not in New York because of the ‘safe harbor’Albany is trying to carve out? What of the Constitutional ‘full-faith and credit’ edict? What happens to the Constitutional principle of Federalism, which give states rights on many issues? Are we then going to take away the tax-exemption status of those churches that refused to adhere to same-sex-marriage laws that are an affront to the traditional Christian churches religious dogma and beliefs?

Well said - there are consequences to what we do, but we live in an age that if it feels good... damn the consequences even if nature or God does not condone such unions.

Those who believe in God and the Day of Judgment are conscious of the fact that there is reckoning. Accountability is always after full guidance is provided and limits prescribed. Limits of God are for observation and in their observance is the welfare of human beings. The whole grace lies in it that a human being observes God's limits despite being free to act anyway. Marriage is a contract with free consent between a male and a female who are not in prohibited degrees.

To cross the limits prescribed by God is to invite God's wrath. God forbids every sinful act. Sinful act is certainly injurious to mankind.
