Obama Makes a Mockery of Veterans’ Day

Updated on November 14, 2011

OK, I know he is supposedly the Commander and Chief but watching him stand before the tomb of the Unknown Soldier while facing the American Flag when all around him are either saluting or standing erect with their right hand over their heart yet he stands with both hands at his side and his pompous nose perched in the air makes me sick! His open defiance of our military as well as our flag is frankly more than I can take.

Is it too much to ask of the man who ran for President which includes the office of Commander and Chief to show a small modicum of respect on the one day of the year set aside to honor the military? But then again this is the same man who removed the American Flags from the East Room where he frequently gives press conferences. He replaced the flags with some yellow middle eastern tapestry with what appears to be Arabic inscribed there upon.

This same Commander and Sheik when asked During an October 3, 2008 interview with ABC affiliate KCRG-TV in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, then Sen. Barack Hussein Obama was asked why he was not wearing an American flag pin on his lapel. Obama responded, "Shortly after 9-11 I had a pin. "I decided I won't wear that pin on my chest. Instead, I'm going to try to tell the American people what I believe will make this country great and, hopefully, that will be a testimony to my patriotism." Well let’s see he told us what he thought of America during his 2009 Apology Tour. Remember when he bowed to Arab Kings while proclaiming America had been Dismissive, Derisive and Arrogant and that there was no such thing as American Exceptionalism; yeah who wears a flag pin while trashing their own country?

But why should anyone be surprised that he doesn’t wear the flag lapel pin or place his right hand over his heart while facing the flag during the playing of the National Anthem? Remember this is the same man that sat in Jeremiah Wright’s church Sunday after Sunday listening to sermons condemning America. Remember the famous “America’s Chickeeeeeeeeeeennnnns coming home to roost” sermon following the 911 attacks and who could forget the famous “no no no, not God Bless America, God Damn America-God Damn America”! But then again even though he sat in the pews listening to this man for 20 plus years, he never heard such rhetoric; right?

So as far as I’m concerned this poser should just stay away from any and all ceremonies honoring our country and our troops instead of showing up and making a mockery of the entire affair!

The only thing that surprises me about Obama is how many people still think he is the man. Up and awesome.

No doubt; seems like the military and secret service always love Republican Presidents; they have spoken warmly and very favorably regarding Ronald Regan, both George Bushes even Barbara Bush but conversely they despised Bill and Hillary (especially Hillary) Al Gore and I'm sure they will have the same negative feelings about Obama. Democrats have little or no respect for the milit5ary as displayed by this Kenyan at all ceremonies!!!

I often wonder what the people closest to him think. The military and secret service assigned to the White House...someday there'll be a book.
