Open Borders Zealots: They Never Give Up

Updated on March 7, 2012

Our So-called Borders

So-called Dream Act

It was with much relief among many Americans to find that the open borders fanatics lost again Tuesday. In their never ending quest to get amnesty any way they can, the open borders crowd again tried to force the Dream Act down the throats of the American people. The Dream Act was supposedly going to reward children of illegal aliens a college education (at taxpayer expense) and those serving in the U.S. military, with U.S. citizenship. There were no safeguards in place to make sure this would be the case. Each time they try to force this "amnesty-lite " down the throats of the American taxpayer, they do so with threats, intimidation and threats of boycotts. The Dream Act was supposed to affect illegals all the way to age 35. Why on earth would they got that far up in age? Just how many illegals do we have in the military and in college in the 30-35 age bracket? If they are in college and military, why are they there at that age? The open borders crowd obviously think the average American is just stupid as hell. Either that or they think we are gullible. Over 2 million illegal aliens would have instantly been eligible for all the benefits of an American who has paid taxes into the system for all his or her life. Show me another country where illegal aliens are treated so generously. You won't find one. You damn sure won't find one in Mexico whose government must have the biggest hypocrites in the political world.

Just today, House Judiciary Chairman John Conyers held a House subcommittee hearing on the "plight" of farmer workers aka illegal alien farm workers. This is yet another attempt by the open borders zealots to force a form of amnesty on the American people. Job Ag Amnesty will be next on the agenday. Here's the thing on this "amnesty ;" if things are so tough, why aren't the Democrats demanding that the illegal farm employers give these people minimum wage? I think we all know why. If Democrats come against illegal farm employers, this would hurt the illegal farmer workers. The illegal farm employers are making money hand over fist at the expense of low wage illegals. Today Stephen Colbert tried to make light of this issue with his singular wit at the subcommittee hearing. He stated that there is an effort to get unemployed Americans to take away these jobs from illegals. He stated earlier this week only 7 out of thousands who visited the web site actually were hired. No Americans will work for slave labor wages. It is the height of hypocrisy (Methinks Democrats would fit right in the Mexican government) for Democrats to demand fair wages for workers and not go to the mat against slave labor wages set forth by farm employers.

There are 15 million unemployed Americans in this nation. Jobs that teenagers used to do are gone now to illegal aliens. The building construction trades that used to go to Americans have been taken over by illegals. I would appreciate anyone explaining how giving amnesty to illegals should take precedence over unemployed Americans and legal residents. Illegals are taking jobs away from Americans. African-Americans are being particularly hard hit. Why aren't the so-called black leaders Revs. Sharpton and Jackson raising hell about this? In fact, why aren't African-Americans themselves raising hell about illegal aliens taking away so many jobs? So, what is the Democrats answer to unemployment? Passing amnesty for people have nearly bankrupted social programs! It is a political payoff to the Hispanic Caucus. Everyone knows this. Yet few people will admit it.

Finally, Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois has once again submitted the Dream Act to the Senate floor so the act can be voted as a stand alone vote or attached to another bill. That didn't take long. Most likely, they will try to pass this travesty during the lame duck session of Congress. If you are against mass amnesty for criminals, I suggest you become a member of NumbersUSA. The battle continues.

Tom, I simply don't understand the Illinois voters continuing to vote this traitor, Dick Durbin, back into office. Illegals swamp local services in every county or state they invade. It doesn't make sense. Sheri, it is looking more and more like the Progressives stranglehold on power is going to come to an end in NOvember. I don't like to count my chickens before they hatch. But, it looks that way.

Sheila, you hit the nail on the head. Democrats are not really concerned about the overall welfare of illegals. If they were, they would stop they from coming across the border to be taken advantage of by illegal employers.

NoAmnesty.that backdoor amnesty attempt by Obama has many people worried. Obama has shown no inclination to respect the U.S. Constitution. I think Rep. Smith's idea is a valid and needed legislation. I just don't see it winning any support among Democrats. Something else also...we need to stop using the 12-20 million illegal aliens here. That was the estimate made back in the early to mid 90s. It is closer to 40 million illegals right now. Each day they are here, they sucking the lifeblood of this country.

During the lame duck session of Congress, Rep. Lamar Smith is planning on introducing the HALT Act, which is designed to prevent President Obama and his administration from using its powers to grant de facto amnesties. As you may be aware, USCIS has tasked senior staff to look at ways of amnestying illegal aliens without Congress' sanction and ICE chief John Morton has told agents and attorneys to drop deportation cases if the arrested illegal alien has not been convicted of a violent crime.

Obviously, it is very discouraging that President Obama and members of his administration want an amnesty for the 11-18 million illegal aliens living in the United States so badly that they are willing to circumvent Congress' authority and start issuing de fact amnesties for "innocent" illegal aliens.

Please contact your U.S. Rep.and urge him/her to become an original cosponsor of the HALT Act.

It's sickening that politicians pretend to have such concern for the 'poor illegals' when we all know they only have concern for their own reelection.

If Durbin supports the dream Act I guess U want the nightmare act where illegals get rounded up and dropped on the other side of a brand new 20 foot fence at the border complete with guard towers razor wire and snipers with scoppped and machineguns that is my idea of a dream act... build them far enough off the border so that once the illegals are in range we can shootem on US SOIL as they pass the english/spanish signs saying DANGER BEYOND THIS POINT YOU WILL BE SHOT

vraj, I called my senators and congressional rep also. They all are against any form of anmnesty. But, I just did it to reinforce my opposition to criminals. Steve Colbert is just another example of how totally out of touch Democrats are with political reality. How on earth could Colbert be considered an expert on illegal immigration?

Breakfastpop, they aren't giving up on the Dream Act aka Nightmare Act. It will be reintroduced to the Lameduck Congress. Democrats despicable behavior knows no bounds.
