Osama Bin Laden is confirmed DEAD by president Obama!!

Updated on June 11, 2011

Osama Bin Laden's been officially killed!!

If you haven't heard the details of the news, here it is; Osama Bin Laden has been confirmed as killed by the president of the United States. This comes as great, relieving news to thousands and thousands of Americans who have suffered either directly or indirectly from the pain that Osama Bin Laden has caused, the main incident being the destruction of the twin towers on September 11th, 2001.

Nothing can take back what happened on that day. But nothing can take back how we responded to it, which was by teaming up as Americans, forgetting our differences, and finding out how to take down Osama Bin Laden.

Osama Bin Laden has been on the Top Ten's Most Wanted List for almost 10 years, but now he can finally be taken off of that list. A DNA test has been confirmed and reconfirmed that the body that the United States has in their posession is in fact the body of Osama Bin Laden. The world can sleep easy tonight, knowing that the leader of the terrorist group, Al-Qaeda, has finally been put to rest.

Four months short of the 10 year aniversery, Osama Bin Laden's body has been killed and captured by an elite CIA group of Americans. The mission was explained in Obama's speech to the American and international public on May 1st, 2011, around 11:00pm.

Obama revealed that he had recieved news (which he recieved some months prior to May 1st, 2011) about a possible location of Osama Bin Laden. They had kept their information on the down low until they had a good lead. Once Obama saw that they had enough information, he sent a group of CIA agents to take Osama Bin Laden, dead or alive.

Their had been a 25 million dollar bounty on Osama Bin Laden's head, dead or alive, yet he still remained hidden from the US over the past almost ten years. Only until Obama recieved enough information did he send a strike force to kill Osama Bin Laden.

The American CIA force found Osama Bin Laden in a mansion in Abbottabad, Pakistan, about 80 miles north of Islamabad, where he had been residing for quite some time. After a firefight, the Americans proved to be victorious, taking Osama Bin Laden's body, dead, from the reckage of the mansion. No Americans were harmed and no civilian casualities were suffered.

"We give thanks for the men who carried out this operation, for they exempllify the professionalism, patriotism, and unparralelled courage of those who serve our country."

Obama, the president of the United States of America, has told the American people that it was he who ordered the strike force to take down the terrorist leader of Al-Qaeda, but that the thanks should be for the men and women who risked their lives in order to achieve this memorable goal.

"Osama's death marks one of the most memorable dates in our history. There's no doubt that Al-Qaeda will continue to pursure attacks against us. We must and will remain vigilante at home and abroad" He then went to say that the war is not against Islam. Rather, it is against those who do not believe in peace and human dignity.

Obama has joined with the president of Pakistan, saying that they agreed with this day being a good and historic day for both of our countries. He also said that is it essential for Pakistan to join us in the fight against Al-Qaeda.

"Today's achievement is a testament to the greatness of our country, and the determination of the American people...America can do whatever we set our mind to. That is the story of our history...We can do these things not because of wealth or power, but because of who we are, One nation, Under God, with liberty and justice for all" -Obama

No doubt, this is an event that will go down in the history books forever. And there is no telling what kind of an effect this will have on Al-Qaeda and the whole Middle East, but one thing is for certain. The United States of America is a very blessed country, and we are so very lucky to have the troops, the men and women who serve for us, protecting us day and night, even though we don't know what they do or when they do it. In the words of Obama's speech on May 1st, 2011, "God bless our troops, and God bless the USA"
