Police Shootings, ISIS, Chaos All Over the World. What Is Going On?

Updated on July 9, 2016

This week we have heard of police shootings in Dallas, Louisiana, and Minnesota. ISIS is rampant in Europe and in the United States and they will continue with their attacks. The Middle East is filled with problems as the nations prepare to come up against Israel and try to wipe them off the face of the earth. The financial market is about to collapse worldwide. There is chaos and violence all over. What is going on?

If you are a Christian and if you know the Bible well, all that’s happening in the world today comes as no surprise. All this has been forewarned years ago and we see it happening right now in front of our eyes. In fact, most believers in Jesus are rejoicing because these are the signs that Jesus told us to look out for before He would come and take His people to heaven. We are not rejoicing in the sense that there is so much evil in the world, but we have been looking forward to the day when Jesus would come for us and remove us from this wicked world.

2 Timothy 3:1, 2 states “1 But understand this: In the last days terrible times will come. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.” Whether someone is a Christian or not, no one can deny that this describes our world today.

Matthew chapter 24 talks about other things that are happening today which point to the return of Jesus. Earthquakes have been on the rise in the last few years. Yes, there have always been earthquakes, but no one can deny that these have increased in intensity and magnitude lately. There shall be wars and rumors of wars which we are seeing now. The book of Revelation in the Bible also talks about a financial collapse coming which will usher in the New World Order. We see the stage being set for that now.

What is taking place now is nothing compared to what is coming. After Jesus comes and takes His followers to heaven, a terrible time known as the “Tribulation” will occur soon after. The Bible describes this time as the worst time to live. This is when God will pour out His wrath upon the world for rejecting Jesus.

There is good news for everyone and a way of escape from what is coming. As I mentioned above, Christians have been waiting for the day when Jesus will snatch them from the earth and He has promised to do this before God pours out His wrath.

The way to escape all this is to trust Jesus as your Savior. You need to repent of your sins and ask Jesus to forgive you. He died on the Cross for your sins and mine so we could have eternal life in heaven with Him. Otherwise, hell will be your eternal home. Hell is a terrible place where you will be separated from God forever. People choose their eternal destination. God does not send anyone to hell. The Bible says that He wishes that none should perish.

Make your decision to trust Jesus now before it’s too late. No one is promised tomorrow. Again, Jesus is about to return and you do not want to be left behind to face the terrible things that are coming. What we are seeing now is only the beginning. Once Christians are taken off this earth, everything will be much more magnified and increase in great magnitude.

God's purpose in sending his judgment is twofold. First of all, many will accept Christ during this time. Secondly, evil will have to be punished.
