Pakistan as an atomic power
We are living in the era of science and technology. The science has reached to its peak during the 20th century. One of the most important inventions was the use of atomic energy. Almost 31 countries are using atomic energy for power generation. Eight countries including Pakistan have nuclear weapons. This technology is very costly and it requires a lot of budget. Among these eight courtiers having atomic weapons Pakistan is the poorest. An interesting fact is that there is a severe energy crisis in Pakistan and Pakistan is only fulfilling 3% of power needs using nuclear technology which is only 375 Mw. Indeed there is a great need to take more advantage of this technology. But wait where r we going now our people are dying from hunger and we are claiming that we have nuclear assist. The world seems to be making a fun of this situation that Pakistan says that I am powerful yet he can’t control the poverty and illiteracy of its own people. Yes we need security but first we must rescue our children from the flood of poverty and illiteracy. 65 years since Pakistan is an independent state yet there are no solution of problems we had on 14 august 1947 our independence day.
Now every Pakistani youngster is asking for his basics needs. For them quality education is important for that we spend only 2.5% of annual budget where as our security budget is more than 70%. Where are we going now this is voice of every Pakistani youngster that he need some space to breath. Please do something for the youth for the new born babies who can’t get food and die out or to be sold in the Arab market to participate in camel race. This drama cannot persist now. A state can only exist if it can do something for the betterment and progress of its people otherwise it has no right to export terror.
In the end I just want to say that some people will agree and some will disagree with my ideas but one think that I must say that we must start thinking now and be flexible in our decisions. For God sake we don’t have any external threat if we feel that there is any it is actually the internal economic and social problems that we are facing.
