Criminals Can Get Away With This Crime?

Many people worldwide are fed up with the recent posting for days on Amazon.com (Kindle Edition) of a degrading book called, The Pedophile's Guide to Love and Pleasure. It was self-published by Phillip R. Greaves. He says, he has feelings for children, but don't act on them. Reportedly, Phillip Greaves' intended purpose for the guide as in his own words and the editorial description of the product, "This is an attempt to make pedophile situations safer for those juveniles that find themselves involved by establishing certian (His typo) rules for these adults to follow. I hope to achieve this by appealing to the better nature of pedosexuals with hope that their doing so will result in less hatred and perhaps liter (His typo, which should be lighter) sentences should they ever be caught."

This goes way beyond the First Amendment of Rights to freedom of speech. Obviously, it looks as if the author is saying, its all right for grown adult people to get it on with children, minors without consequences committing a crime of statutory rape. No matter how unlawful it is, sex offenders can have a good, protective method to carry out their acts of victimizing. Phillip Greaves even goes further on how to appropriately fondle and kiss kids in certain ways, more like sexual as legit. The use of contraceptives may not be necessary.

Amazon.com claims to have a policy, they can sell whatever they want. But, they ban the sell of porn on their site, which is a legal, billion dollar industry between consenting adults. Already, most customers have cancelled their accounts all together and plans for holiday shopping. Some customers are setting up shop to boycott Amazon.com for Christmas. Amazon's view on the whole situation of The Pedophile's Guide to Love and Pleasure is to simply make profit. Amazon.com will definitely be facing business discrepancies.

The Pedophile's Guide to Love and Pleasure has been compared to the right of selling historic document and book, Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler. Therefore, there are mentions about writers in general of The Holocaust. Experts such as Dr. Phil says, "This is bizarre." on CNN's Anderson Cooper 360. Its giving criminals passage to get away with felony. Also, it takes a look into the publishing world of what authors can and cannot write about and use to gain sales.

Now, Amazon.com has removed The Pedophile's Guide to Love and Pleasure from their listings. Many parents wonder, are their children safe? Will it be any more hideous acts like this? It certainly will not be the end. Some folks feel as though, if it was a book called, How to Kill the President, there will be FBI investigation, immediately. A crime is a crime.

Thanks, Wintermyst! I definitely agree. People should know what is far and what is TOO far of their words and action.

I agree, I also think if people start yelling about Freedom of Speech they should consider that with having freedom of speech there should be a responsibility on how it should be used. Just my opinion though:-)
