Preacher's Corner for Non-Christians and Christians alike. Today is how to pray
Please enter here.
I am a real preacher man.
This is a piece that I wrote and did not publish because it is so strange.
But my boy is having trouble tonight -- seems like nightmares. Temperature is fine and I examined and held and walked him around in my arms -- and nothing wrong. That don't matter. It is still my job to be up and listening to his condition. So he and mom are sleeping well at the moment. And that gave me time to read this piece again.
I think you may find this unsettling. But I think it might evoke.
I preach every Sunday. And my phone rings during the week. People do not call. Because they know what I will say. Even atheists know our Trinity. Let me give you our second "Eric's" trinity.
Pray baby pray.
I mean pray. I do not mean pray to. Let that sink in, do not pray to. Pray for. Let that sink in pray for. Understand me. Do not pray to, pray for.
Can you imagine a world where every one sat down, breathed deep and prayed for everyone else.
I can because I live it.
Old Jimmy Buffet sang a song.
This watch is never wrong. It is time to pray.
Wonderful Jesus taught us how to pray. But I give you instructions.
We do thusly:
We pray for me.
We pray for we.
And we pray for thee.
Breathe in and Breathe out. This is good.
Allow me to sermonize
You know what? You love me. I am such a fool sometimes I love me.
Isn't that so cool. You love you, and I love you. Are we not just fools?
So bow your head and pray for me --- I mean you. Just say to yourself, I love me. What a great way to start "Eric's Trinity"
Now while you do this pray for we. I am just a slob and so are you, so we are sisters in slobness. I like it and I like you.
Now look around and see what you see and pray for that. That is the "thee".
Me I figure my fish are worth praying for.
Now it is time to do a little Jig
Oh yeah oh ya oh yipee and yahoo.
Now what you do is jump up and clap your hands and then put them in the air. And you do a little jig and you shout a little shout. Now we be praying.
I am just a country boy with no happy big city joy. I walk dirt roads and stand in awe of spiderwebs. I do not know this miracle of prayer.
I am poor of mind and poor or spirit and poor of love ------ Bullwhackey I got you babe.
Each other is enough: Our own selves is good enough.
