President Trump Lies to America

Updated on February 10, 2019

Just how stupid does POTUS think Americans are? Does he even care when he knowingly lies about the facts in any of many situations since he was barely elected in 2016. Americans are numb to this man and take anything he says with a grain of salt because the most recent lie during his State of the Union address has received a lot of push back from those who should know.

The Lie

POTUS stood before the American Congress and people and simply lied about the facts regarding "his" effing wall or barrier and how it impacted El Paso, Texas. Now he is going there to continue the lie to persuade the need for this wall.

During his State of the Union address, Trump told Americans that El Paso was a high crime area and one of the most dangerous cities in the USA until a wall had been built, after which, it became one of America's safest cities. Does anyone with common sense believe this BS? If they do, they are just ignoring the facts because of some perverted belief.

The Facts

The city of El Paso crime rate peaked in 1993 and then dropped by 30% by 2006. Between 2006 and 2011 (this is two years before and two years after the wall was built) crime rate increased by 17%. According to the county sheriff there, the city was safe long before any wall had been built.

Building the wall began in 2008 and El Paso’s crime rate continued to drop in the years since, from 457 crimes for every 100,000 residents in 2009 to 393 in 2014, according to FBI statistics.

Trump seems to have ignored the facts in order to push for his $5 billion funding of the wall, which will NEVER happen. The Democrats and moderate Republicans are only talking about $2 billion for border security not just the "wall". Democrats want to be sure that Trump does not use all of the $2 billion for his wall by itemizing how the $2 billion will be spent. Smart move, because Trump cannot be trusted.

Trump's visit to El Paso will only be a campaign issue to feed his base and the opposition to the truth will enlighten those who wish to listen.
