Progressive Insurance CEO Liberal

Updated on February 28, 2011

Is Progressive Insurance a front for liberal investments?

January 2, 2011

Happy New Year! Let's stay informed!

Thanks to my friend Anna and an email she sent me, I discovered something I didn’t previously know. Apparently it is no coincidence that Progressive Insurance is named what it is. Progressive Insurance money, at lest in some part, is going towards progressive causes. Chairman Peter Lewis joined forces with George Soros and other millionaires to support a campaign to the tune of $78 million against George W. Bush according to an article on

The Wall Street Journal referenced Lewis’s causes as well a few times.

While I was unable to find any evidence of it, my money would be on betting Mr. Lewis is still actively busy behind the scenes supporting numerous other liberal/progressive/socialist causes. I’m guessing the only reason we still have any Democrats who won this last election November 2010, was due to the likes of Peter Lewis and his ilk.

I’m a little bummed because I honestly enjoy those commercials with that adorable perky girl. Whenever a new commercial appears, that’s one I actually won’t fast-forward through with my DVR remote. Well, not any more…

There is evidence around the web that there are various boycotts of Progressive Insurance. Not telling anyone what to do and believe me, I know we can’t support every boycott that comes along, but it is an idea to think about.

My husband and I don’t have Progressive Insurance. However, I’m urging those who do and those who aren’t fond of liberal causes to rethink who they’re giving money to every time they pay their bill. I’m also urging you to make sure you pass this information on so that we can make a dent in Mr. Lewis’ progressive wallet.

Before you go telling someone what they don't know the first thing about, maybe you ought to learn how to write. After a question it is customary to us a question mark. Proper names start with a capital letter. And "You don't don't know..." "don't" cut it.

      Just sayin'...

Wow - you GO Lisa! Good for you! It turns my stomach now whenever I see their commercials - you can't get away from them - and as it turns out - their prices aren't all that competitive compared to other insurance companies anyway. Thanks so much for leaving your very inspiring comment and I hope Harley owners will respond by NOT choosing Progressive!

My husband just purchased a new Harley-Davidson --- a symbol of American pride and patriotism! I was SHOCKED when he informed me that they have teamed up with Progressive Insurance. I contacted the company and am expecting a written response within the next two weeks. I plan on contacting EVERY bike dealership and bike club to inform them that the company has sold out to Harley bike owners conservative values and American pride.

Wow unhappy - that is obnoxious! But I guess it's what you get with a company run by liberals.

I thought the same thing angel. However, as I said, the progressives are way in the minority. So when we the people get together, we can easily overcome any movement they try. They have made progress over the years in this country via the Unions and our school system all the way to the White House, but an informed citizenry is a power citizenry. We can stop them and we can help prevent this from ever happening again!

      Thanks for your comments!

WillStarr-thank you for your thoughts. You are absolutely correct. The hypocrisy of the left is if nothing else, consistent.

      Thank you for stopping by.

Thanks Pop. We can't boycott everything God knows, but we can do what we can.

      Thanks for your comments.

Isn't it interesting that the left, including Pres. Obama, was furious when the Supreme Court ruled that corporations had a free speech right to fund political campaigns, yet that same left fully supports the right of left wing folks like Lewis and George Soros to use their cash to influence politics.

But there are way more of us than there are of liberals. That's why liberal boycotts or even what you do - supporting a liberal cause--won't really work. Only when liberals do it in the dark does it work. Now we're going to shine a light on it and see how that works for ya.

On the other hand, people who want to see their money going towards these ideas may want to look at changing their insurance to Progressive.

I did that with my Cell provider. . .
