Articles that I have written with social work in mind, to educate others, in hopes to lead better lives.

Introduction

There are so many of my friends on social media that are running scared about the Trump win. I do happen to be one of them, due to health care and having a pre-existing condition. However, I have so many friends that stand to lose so much more. However, I think the head of National Association of Social Workers network has made things quite clear in their statement about the Trump win. My hope is the same as what is said in the statement. I hope we continue to progress forward, and not lapse behind.

My professional social media and Conclusion

I went to my professional social media account and found this statement from the National Association of Social Workers. I couldn't be happier to be a part of such a rewarding profession. I may have to fight for every thing I have in this world, and only my death will bring me peace. However, fight I must.

Below you will find the link to the National Association of Social Workers statement about the trump win.

One statement remains clear:

"The NASW Code of Ethics makes clear the importance of social justice. We cannot support any efforts to marginalize or oppress any group of people, and will always work to assure that human rights extend to everyone. Social workers continue to strongly advocate for our country’s most vulnerable populations."

My hope is that this correspondence will calm some fears. I hope it will calm my own and lower my anxiety. I really do not have time to end up in the hospital with yet another seizure.
