Reading The Teleprompter While America Burns

Reading The Teleprompter While America Burns

Many of us know about the Roman Emperor Nero who supposedly played the fiddle, while most of Rome burned. History records that Nero falsely blamed the Christians for the Roman holocaust and slaughtered many of the Christians – among them, may have been The Apostle Paul - who was inspired by the one God, through His Son Jesus Christ, to write one third of the New Testament - and the Christ’ greatest disciple, Saint Peter. There is a fire burning right here in America, but you have to have unbiased eyes to see it; said fire is manifested in runaway deficits; high unemployment; steady but creeping inflation; and lack of respect, by the usual bad guys, which adversely affects our Geo-policies. The very bipartisan committee, convoked by President Obama, to address our mustard-seed-like growing deficits recommendations, were ignored because among the recommendations were an increase in the retirement age and another to make drastic cuts in our entitlements programs.

Two blogs ago, I wrote about the dire unemployment situation here in New York and elsewhere… and so I need not further beat a dead horse – though, if we are not careful, dead horses, among other meats not part of our current staple, will become part of our diet due to the Les Miserables scenario many are envisioning. I do not know if it is the fact that we are using our grains to use in our transport conveyances why the food is costing more and more... but one only has to go to the super market and feel the inflationary pinch. It must be also noted that the very noble bunch who is always waxing poetic about saving the environment, and has influenced Washington to make ethanol instead of cornflakes, has managed to elevate the California Redwood trees to sentient beings

Yesterday, our secular messiah President turned over the prosecution of the combat activities in Libya to the French. Someone tell me that Rod Serling, the writer and creator of the Twilight Zone, isn't having a laugh at us because American life is eerily imitating his art – it must be one of those lost episodes of the Twilight Zone. The problem in letting the French or NATO have authority over our troops is fraught with danger; in law school, the concept is known as precedent or the ‘slippery slope.’ By the way, the Israelis should not be surprised, if under the auspices of the United Nations, an army will soon be attached to force the partition of the Holy Land… including the great city of Zion.

I do not know who the current administration or historians will blame for our unprecedented spiral, but I know that, as of now, if prudent measures are not taken, our children will not enjoy the Democratic elixirs you and I have enjoyed for so long. The current administration has gone out of its way to regain the love of the world, but seldom can anyone or a Hegemon purchase love… and even if we could indeed buy love, the ‘Greenback’ isn't worth what it used to be worth. I am yearning for the days when we were feared because I, for one, have not seen the dividends from our Geo-policies dipped in Barry White soul, while the bad guys are still engaged in a bloodletting bacchanal.

Very good. Very true. Americans know we're in trouble, but most of us don't know just how deep in we are. We've had many similar problems in past times as we're facing now, but the difference this time is that things will not get much better. We are slowly drifting into the worst times America has ever known. Or will ever know. People don't want to except it, but it is so nonetheless. Reading the teleprompter while America burns. Absolutely correct.
