Rebellion in the Ukraine, Kiev while Sochi is wrapping up.

One time I threw two Molotov coctails fully lit and burning.

That is a hard core truth. And I was paid to do it. And I was told exactly where to throw them and there were already firetrucks and emergency personnel on hand. Does that make any sense to anyone? Well it was factions of the French Government that paid us college students to so riot. Oh yeah we got arrested and everything. It was crazy. It was 1975 and we were told that our "riots" were to build sympathy and support for "Anti-Francoists" in Spain. There was a bunch of Bolshevism stuff and one of the last big deals with Catholicism backing a bad side.

So I think we were on the side to show a violent support against Franco --- but danged if I know we could have been on the side showing how bad Franco supporters were. A fellow by the name of Schlesinger and another by the name of Kissinger were deans at our American College in Paris from where we were recruited. The French connected Vietnam Civil War was just basically over that spring. Korea and the DMZ were still smoldering and a Guy named McCarthy was still fresh in our minds. And we made a trip down to a place then known as the Belgian Congo to cause problems also.

Kiev is not an outside job. It is a revolution. Many will die very quickly and with an abhorrent amount of unnecessary violence. Been there and seen that!

This is a revolution and if it fades away you will be an idiot to assume things got "worked out" this is death of one side or the other.

A military man firing a Kalashnikov by aiming it is probably and by the looks of it firing 3 round bursts and that is not a covering fire and those are not "rubber" bullets. Those shooters we see are aiming to kill specific people. People with families, children of people and friends of people. Understand this very clearly this is not a riot. It is a battle field with the reality of war.

When a Molotov coctail is thrown against a building it is a statement of disdain. When it is thrown against opposing forces it is not terrorism or protest it is a kill of be killed situation and there is some reason behind it.

Citizens do not commit atrocities against governments. It is just an impossibility, you just cannot do it. You can only commit atrocities against agents of that government. You must understand that concept. We do not see atrocities here we see battle.

I am not a soldier but God has made me see war. God would only do that so that I could speak against it!

That picture above with the video could easily be my family while my wife was being born.

There is nothing noble about war. There are only noble people that fight them and live and die for them. There is nothing worthy of a man who causes another to feel he must resort to war. There is only worthiness in those that fight oppression and struggle because they see another suffer.

"There are no good soldiers for a bad cause. And there are only great soldiers for a good cause" (ed 2001)

Why would a simple Ukrainian student go get himself shot at with real bullets by real soldiers without medical aid at the ready? Why would they risk life to protest and call attention to a situation that is all about demanding justice and freedom? Those who are dying in the streets of Kiev are not stupid idiots and homeless and imbalanced and horribly imprisoned. So we must conclude that they are in the battle for a higher than empirical or faith issue. Faith does not seem in the equation and we do not see fanaticism here.

This does not look like a typical civil war as I see no citizenry against the newly half baked formed revolutionaries. Civil wars are brothers against brothers not both brothers against a regime.

Ukraine is going down and it is up to the military to decide just how hard it goes down.

Have you grown hardened?

Do you care about the deaths in Kiev?

A call out to anyone in the Ukraine

I want to know your name. I want to share our dreams. And I want to pray with you. I do not care if you want to pray to Karl Marx or Darwin as long as we pray for fast resolution with peaceful transitional results. If you need me let me know. I will send what money I can and will write what I can. I am sorry I am a bit older and cannot help much on the ground but will if that is in our cards.

Send me information so I can send it and jump all over my congresswomen and senators and press. I am only just an American that has been given everything that it appears you are being denied. I got not bone to pick with your leaders but I know a desire for freedom when I see it and cannot be a good husband, father, friend or preacher man if I cannot be moved by your cause.

Some words to pass to your people in a time when they may need to be lifted up. "I am older so my life does not mean much left but you are young and loved and your life adds much to the cost of freedom" (ed2012)

"Though one man does not hold another's physically the touch can be felt a thousand years from now and ten thousand miles away, let us hold hands in solidarity to peace" (ed 2014)

"If you think you are alone, you are letting despair Bound you. Look up, that star is a reflection of a world that wants your peace and victory over wrong, the heavens only shine the light that we let in" (ed2001)

Make peace with those ordered to harm you.

Let us conclude with a "prayer" of understanding.

This would be gathered from my years combined with the Navajo and Hopi people that l call the human beings.

"Oh great Spirit from all around us and inside us and inside tomorrow and yesterday, flow the blood of the warrior spirit into those that need strength to fight" "And lay us not down to rest when one of our bother soul's is not easy on his horse" "Carry us to the battles that we can fight to help our brothers fight their battles" "Bring back upon our land a harmony with our nature of peace and our piece of nature"

So sorry I did not reply earlier. I have had some business there. We are trying to keep lines open and respond immediately to concerns and then pass them on. I am not a "hotshot" which is a person who jumps inside a fire to help put it out in our forests. But I deal with hotspots and we are being severely blocked. Circumvention takes much effort and I need some sleep.

Eric, I hadn't heard about this. This is so sad. I hate hearing about war. The lives of those that are innocent are usually the most vulnerable.

Dora it does seem to even take a little bit of my soul all the way here.

DDE it will end with more freedom but with far more death. And a huge part of it seems to be about money. It is a sick world sometimes in some places.

John I think for now it will be our prayers that count but it is getting worse. The top general was fired for not going to war against his countryman.

Conflict no matter how small disturbs our equilibrium. War kills many more than those on the battlefield. I say Amen to your prayer for peace.

It is all out of control in Ukraine and don't know how this will end.

Great sentiments Eric. Let us pray for the Ukraine. I hadn't even heard this was happening must have my head in the sand. "Courage is fear that has said it's prayers."

Bill we are Americans. That gift so hard fought for yet so freely given we must pray for others to share.
