Ridiculous theories about human extinction.

Updated on April 24, 2015

1. zombie apocalypse

This is a theory that arose in the 1920s when the movie “white zombie” was made. This theory indicates that dead people will one day arise from their graves but in the form of a zombie, they will start wiping the human race by eating their flesh. To me it sounds more like a fictional thing that is by far less likely to happen. I find it surprising that many people believe that it will happen one day. Many documentaries about safest places to hide during a zombie’s apocalypse have been made. I tend to think that people watch too much horror movies that’s why the topic about zombie apocalypse is so common. Though there is no scientific evidence that it will happen one time.

2. Extinction of males

This theory states that in five million years from now, the human male species will be extinct. This is as a result of dwindling amount of genes in the male chromosome. The funny thing is that it is not yet scientifically proven. There is no way that the human male could go extinct ever, again if this theory was true, five million years is a long time; we would have already discovered the gene for longevity and extending the lifespan of a human male.

3. changes in DNA of human cells

This theory states that one billion years from now, genetic mutation will occur which will decrease the life span to two years. I know this sounds unbelievable and funny, can you imagine living for only two years and dying. I have kept it among the craziest lists of theories about the human extinction. Mark you, the theory has not yet been scientifically proven and I don’t know if it will ever.

4. cataract theory

A cataract is a clouding of the lens in the eye that affects vision. This theory states that some years to come something may happen that may affect the human eye and thus everyone will lose his or her ability to see. This theory does not give a lot of explanation on what thing will make humans have cataract and lose their vision and that’s why I think it’s just ridiculous. Also it has not yet been scientifically proven.

5. Mental disorders

This theory states that a million years to come the human brain will decrease in size and thus the mental state will deteriorate completely and therefore humans will not have the ability to sleep, eat, drink take medicine and even kill themselves as people with mental illness do. I think this should be on the list of the most unrealistic theories ever. The possibility of such a theory from ever occurring is very low.

6. Decrease in sexual activity

These theory states that at one time humans will be disinterested in getting intimate and thus there will be a great decrease in sexual activity among humans and this will lead to human extinction. To me this is unbelievable and crazy. I gave this the lowest rate because there is no single possibility that human sexual activity will ever decrease. Actually it’s supposed to be a joke but it’s good that whoever gave out this theory exercised his freedom of speech, that’s his opinion and we can’t do anything about it.
