Ron Paul isn't just another politician, he's the Dude!

Updated on September 8, 2013

Ron Paul hasn't quit !

Ron Paul must be the most persistent, patient patriot on this planet; to be fighting a battle that seems so unwinnable, much like being caught in a sand dune; every particle of sand he pushes back, more sand falls back in. He has the greatest intentions, the biggest heart and the most brilliant mind of any government official. Ron Paul has more support for his cause than ever and he is still more optimistic and enthusiastic about the cause of freedom since the election, unlike any of the 'empty suites' he was running with. It's as if they plum forgot about their cause when they lost the election. You scarcely hear about those guys anymore. And the only reason you hear about the girl is because she partially won the race. Like in the game of horse-shoes; she got points for being on the same side of the pew as the winner, and got a close third, or something. And the winner, hands down, talks and acts so much different than when he was running, It's hard to say whether he was really there or not. Where did that guy go? Does he have a twin brother named Billy?

Us Americans are some strange people, man.
The majority are against a govt. which is broke and broken.
They are against a terminally corrupted congress but re-elect the corrupted.
They seem fearful of an unknown future but seem to support those who made it uncertain.
They rail against the wars and actions and their cost in money and lives but tolerate the MIC.
They are irrevocably divided at a time which cries out for unity.

The Fed and its actions cries out for its elimination but Americans remain ignorant of what it is, what it does and how it exploits all of us.

The R and D parties are responsible for our nation's decline but Americans "trust" them with their votes

Americans regard people like Ron Paul as not being "in the mainstream" while they know the "mainstream" no longer represents them or serves their needs and is responsible for America's decline.

I'm not sure whether it's habit or laziness or futility, but I am sure that Americans are strange.

Sad, truly sad.

So many people in this country get most of their so-called knowledge about politics and the economy from watching their favorite 'left side of the pew - right side of the pew newscasters on the BoobTube, daily; if they make it to the news channel at all.

Nothing could be more of a mistake, and at this date, very harmful source of information. ABC, MSNBC, CBS, CNN or FOX is guided, if I may be so bold, not by the desire to tell the truth, but by the heartless drive to 'boil the blood' of the people, and boost their ratings, and therefore make big profits. And, as Fox news does, push their 'own man' whatever the polls show, as what they did to Ron Paul recently.

They couldn't care less about the truth; and want only to continue to keep us like mushrooms. (kept in the dark and fed shit) An honest and accurate understanding of the economy, and the politicians can only be got from a diligent study of the subject in your local library or google research. But most wouldn't know a library from a post office, but would know a Starbucks from a Popa Johns. And if their on Google it's for shear entertainment. People, or rather 'sheeple,' come home, grab a super-size soda, and yes with their biggie cheese pizza to, and then plop down in front of the big screen Boob Tube, and permit themselves, gullible for the slaughter, for their daily brainwashing episode. Like re-runs of Lost in Space or the Mayberry crew, the same old propaganda has been fed by the media of the self-serving politicians, to us for the last 50 years. I know, I've been here that long to see it happen. And like the spiral current of water in a commode after it is flushed, all our liberties are being sent (not much left now) down the sewer, while our interest is idled elsewhere.

I took a lot of heat, was called a nasty thing ....

.... when I told everyone to vote for Ron Paul. I remember holding a banner on route 30, a major route here in Lancaster county, and really feeling the patriotism from my soul to crown, and felt a connection, somehow, with our patriots of old, and that they would surly be proud of us. There were maybe 15 other fellow patriots there with me for Paul when I started about nine in the morning. By noon there were thirty of us and the traffic and noise had built up, as did our chanting, "Our country needs a doctor, Dr. Ron Paul" was what I started with, and it caught on. We all had a good time, there were some waves and beeps from the passing cars but not that many. Mostly they were quiet. But yes there was that one in the crowd. The one that brought our levity and cheer to a stand-still. The one that reminded us of our reality. Of what we are up against, and how absurd people have gotten just to disagree.

"You Commie bastards," is what she screamed from her car. Her certain finger waved to us. Our faces followed the car by and we noticed a bumper sticker. We looked at each other dumbfounded. As it tried to settle in, our shoulders rose, my eye brow jumped up, many heads shook side to side. "Obama For Change," was on her bumper.

Take a back seat, Michele Bachmann and Glenn Beck: The biggest star of CPAC so far has been Texas Congressman and LBN reader Ron Paul. Paul was the first speaker to fill the convention hall Friday night with 1,100 people and some supporters were turned away. Sounds to me like the revolution is alive and well, Paul said after taking the stage to Queens We Will Rock You. Paul warned about the national debt and called for less foreign entanglements in U.S. foreign policy. Politico says, "The crowd was louder and more raucous in their support for Paul than they had been for all of the other speakers combined."

Who is Ron Paul?

Ronald Ernest "Ron" Paul (born August 20, 1935) is an American physician and Republican Congressman for the 14th congressional district of Texas. Paul is a member of the Liberty Caucus of Republican congressmen which aims to limit the size and scope of the federal government,[2] and serves on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, the Joint Economic Committee, and the Committee on Financial Services, where he has been an outspoken critic of American foreign and monetary policy.

Paul has run for President of the United States twice, first in 1988 as the nominee of the Libertarian Party and again in 2008 as a Republican.

He is the founder of the advocacy group Campaign for Liberty and his ideas have been expressed in numerous published articles and books, including End The Fed (2009), and The Revolution: A Manifesto (2008).

Paul was born in Pittsburgh to Howard and Margaret (née Dumont) Paul.[3] As a junior at Dormont High School, he was the 220-yard dash state champion.[4] He received a B.Sc. degree in biology at Gettysburg College in 1957. He was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity.[4] After obtaining a M.D. degree from the Duke University School of Medicine, he was a U.S. Air Force flight surgeon during the 1960s.

Paul has been married to Carol Wells since 1957.[5] They have five children, who were baptized Episcopalian:[6] Ronald, Lori, Rand, Robert, and Joy. They also have eighteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.[7] He has four brothers. Two of them, including David Paul, are ministers. Wayne Paul is a Certified Public Accountant.

LBN-COMMENTARY By JOHN STOSSEL: I often bash government. I say it can’t do anything better than people in a free market. But the government is unequaled in producing one thing: negative unintended consequences. Show me a government activity, and I will show you bad results that even the program’s advocates probably don’t like.

Can you imagine ..... to think that one day in this great country, a time would come that the TV News and the News Paper News would be so corrupt (and bought) that there would be a need for an alternative news program! And to think, no less, that the person to host this news broadcast on line would be a retired congressman. And you would think that a retired congressman would want to stay the hell away from politics and the media. Well, not this gentleman. This dude has a date with destiny. Nobody is going to shake his beliefs because it comes from his heart. He's not the regular 'run of the mill' politicians, he's the Dude!

Ron Paul Commemorates Hemp History Week

05-10-2010 • The Atlantic: Chris Good
The libertarian-minded congressman entered this statement into the Congressional Record on Thursday, to commemorate Hemp History Week:

Madam Speaker, I rise to speak about Hemp History Week. To celebrate the American heritage of growing industrial hemp, the Hemp Industries Association, Vote Hemp, several American manufacturers, and allied companies and organizations have declared May 17 to May 23 to be Hemp History Week. Throughout the week, people will recognize America's legacy of industrial hemp farming and call for reinstating respect for farmers' basic right to grow industrial hemp.

Industrial hemp was legally grown throughout our country for many years. In fact, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson grew industrial hemp and used it to make cloth. During World War II, the federal government encouraged American farmers to grow hemp to help the war effort.

Despite industrial hemp farming being an important part of American history, the federal government has banned cultivation of this crop. In every other industrialized country, industrial hemp, defined to contain less than 0.3 percent THC--the psychoactive chemical found in marijuana, may be legally grown. Nobody can be psychologically affected by consuming industrial hemp. Unfortunately, because of a federal policy that does not distinguish between growing industrial hemp and growing marijuana, all hemp products and materials must be imported. The result is high prices, outsourced jobs, and lost opportunities for American manufacturing.

Reintroducing industrial hemp farming in the United States would bring jobs to communities struggling in today's economy, provide American farmers with another crop alternative, and encourage the development of hemp processing factories near American hemp farming.

Industrial hemp is used in many products. For example, industrial hemp is used in protein supplements, non-dairy milk, and frozen desserts. Hemp flour is in breads, crackers, chips, dips, and dressings. Hemp seeds may be eaten plain or added to prepared foods. Additionally, hemp oil is used in a number of cosmetic and body care products, and hemp fiber is used in cloths. Industrial hemp is also present in bio-composite materials used in buildings and automobiles.

johnwindbell ...thank you for the information about Ron Paul ..I did not know he was from Pittsburgh. I am a Ron Paul Supporter. I believe in following the good guy. We need more articles about him ..more information out there for people to see. Thank you again!

p.s. Isn't it interesting that our present president does not have to be accountable for the lies that he has provided during his last election.

....well, that's a switch. Being a divorcee myself I could only find, or see, other males that have been screwed, without being kissed. If only you've heard of PPL (pre paid legal). Your bound to love my newest hub, and maybe your comments would fit better there. But anyway - whatever doesn't destroy us, Myra, strengthens us. And we wouldn't be on the right track if it wouldn't have been for our spouses enlightening us. And we wouldn't be on the right track now politically if it wouldn't be for Prez BO waking us up! I thank him for that, like I thank my 'X'

I know all about having my rights violated because

I spent 10 yrs in court fighting injustice. You alcoholic X-husband had a relationship with the court-appointed councilor from our child custody case.Is that a conflict of interest or what? She made sure he had the children in his custody by various devious methods. It starts in the courts and if they can't acknowledge this is wrong and follow their own laws what's the problem?

You can't believe what I went through, however; I gave them hell right back and they won't forget me.They stole all my money but I still have my dignity and my children on the right track (23and 20 now). It's in my blood .You see I'm directly decent from Lawrence,George Washington's brother and I think poor George spent much of his time fighting scoundrels like these.

Clear messages they've been getting for years. Now they, and the rest of the country, have clear messages every day from what we have in 'There' now ...but I love it: have you seen my hub 'Obama-ness'? It'll tell you why. I think it's coming true; we're reaching the bottom of the barrel.

I was watching Fox yesterday and they were utterly shocked by the results. You could see it. I think this is another clear message to the powers that be !

Thank God, Tony, there's another choice. Now lets see if Fox News fares him better than they did last election. Wonder, in their quiet moments at night when the sheets are up to their necks and they are cuddly and warm in bed; whether they regret it or not?
