Russia is Guilty for Malaysian Flight 17
The Ukrainian government has said from day one, their forces did not shoot down Malaysian Flight 17 over the Ukraine and had no reason to. They provided radio intercepts between Russians and pro-Russian rebels indicating they did fire the BuK missile. At first, many did not believe the Ukrainians, well, because they do have BuK missile launchers and because it all seemed a bit too convenient. As time went on, American review of their assets and satellite images began to agree with the Ukrainians. That, Russia did provide the BuK missile system, up to three such units, to the pro-Russian rebels and began to train them, which would take at least 4-6 mos.
Since training would take so long, they would have had to begin training way back in December, long before the Ukrainian crisis occurred. So, because the use of the weapon requires solid training, it is obvious, so obvious, that Russian advisers were most likely directing the rebels, step by step, in its operation and tracking of Malaysian flight 17. It is possible that the advisers actually did the firing. An Associated Press reporter on the ground in eastern Ukraine has seen rebels in the area with the Buk system. Also, there are reported sightings of a Buk missile system moving between the cities of Torez and Snizhne, both within in Donetsk Oblast — where the plane came down.
Russian complicity is obvious. It IS very possible it was an accident. Mistaken identity. It would be easy to think that the commercial airliner was taken for an Ukrainian air transport. The rebels had already shot one of those down. Without confirmation, the blip on the tracking radar is simply a blip. There would be no way to know.
It is now confirmed that the Russian BuK systems were secretly deployed into Ukraine from Russia. Intelligence, satellite images and tracks, show this was the case and after the shoot down, redeployed back into Russia. All this suggests "bloody hands" on the rebels and Russia and Putin, for it is Putin that refuses to let go of Ukraine, a former part of Russia. It is most likely that the plan was to scoot over the Ukrainian border, down more aircraft- civilian ones- and scoot back over into Russia. The hope was to blame the Ukrainians for the downing of Malaysian flight 17, because they also have the missile. Yet, evidence shows dirty hands on the part of Russia and Putin.
Russia's Putin is now at a crossroads. So far, he has done little to help secure the crash site, which is still dangerous with rebel fighters. However, Putin may not have total control over the rebels or all of them. They are an entity themselves. Yes, Russia supplies them with weapons to destabilize Ukraine, and Russian advisers are present to help them, there might be rogue members who have a mind of their own. Still, had not Russia provided the weapon system to the rebels, this would not have happened. Russia's guilt began then, not just when this incident happened.
The sad thing about this is what will Europe and America do? Even if Putin openly admits to this, what exactly would the West do? So far, over Ukraine, very little has been done except very targeted sanctions that have done little to Putin. Putin does not think much will occur that he cannot counter in some fashion. Because of this, his plans to eventually make Ukraine Russia's once again, in some fashion, will continue. Look what happened in the Crimea takeover? The West was unwilling to use any military force or show of force. Why would Putin be anymore concerned now? The West is not even willing to send more military units into Poland now, which is part of NATO. America still refuses, even now, to send in lethal military equipment to the Ukraine. Instead, we only send non-lethal items.
Well, no wonder Putin could care less about what happens. Unless the West is really willing to show some force, the guilty hands in this downing will go unpunished and Putin will continue his long range plans to take Ukraine.
