One good snub deserves another!

The President and First Lady were NOT invited to the wedding of Prince Phillip and the lovely Kate Middleton. On the guest list are members of the British Royal Family as well as the King of Swaziland, the King of Tonga, Prince Constantine of Greece, The Queen of Spain and Sheikh Ahmad Hmoud Al-Sabah of Kuwait and . . . .Elton will be there too.

It seems a shame because little girls love stuff like that; you know pretty dresses, flowers, bridesmaids etc, etc. The Obama girls would no doubt love it. There will be lots of kids in the wedding, four bridesmaids’ ages three to ten, and several page- boys and what is cuter than little kids all dressed up and falling all over the place and forgetting what they are supposed to do?

But the Obamas will not be there! They will attend the Endeavor Launch on that same date which was originally scheduled for April 19th, but got moved to the SAME DATE as the royal wedding, after the Obama’s realized they were not invited.

I’m just saying that seems odd!

The Royal Wedding will dominate the news and the fact that our President and first lady are not there, will be a tad conspicuous. Folks will be dressed in the very best and looking snazzy. I’m sure and they will be treated to a champagne reception with dainty little finger foods and wedding cake and all that good stuff.

Let’s see why would the Obamas be left out???

Is it pay back time? Maybe they don’t want any more monarchs at the wedding. After all her Majesty the Queen will be in front row center and King Obama would surely be up front and very visible, or he wouldn’t attend. Or maybe King Obama would be uncomfortable sitting with the King of Swaziland like any ol king.

Maybe it goes deeper, like shortly after Obama took office he shipped back the bust of Churchill that has been in the White House for years, and was a gift from England. A real embarrassment for the Brits.

Maybe it was the cheesy gift that Obama gave the prime minister of 25 DVDs of American movies that are not always compatible with British equipment and this after Prime Minister Brown gave Obama a pen holder crafted from the timbers of the 19th century British warship HMS President.

Or maybe it was the snub to the Prime Minster for his first visit to the Obama White House in which Obama scaled down from the expected two -hour conference and then later Obama met with the Boy Scouts. That was felt deeply in the UK.

No, probably instead the snub is for Michelle. The queen mum is afraid Michelle will walk in with an outfit like this one in the photo and then take it completely over the top and put her arm around the queen. No, not done Michelle, breach of protocol, unacceptable. One does not touch the Queen of England, not even Michelle unless she touches you first.

At any rate the Obama family will watch the shuttle launch and a large portion of the world will watch the silly wedding.

Which will you watch? I think I will zero in on the wedding and the flowers.

Poolman if you see any missles headed toward the UK, please let me know.

Mandrake, I think under all those fancy clothes the Prince is a redneck just like us.

Maybe the President called Prince William a "bitter gun toter" (he hunts you know), so the Prince decided not to invite someone who has such antipathy towards him?

Well crap, I hope Obama doesn't decide to bomb England over this incident. I will be watching the wind blow.

It is all rather humorous, don't you think so?

The Obamas deserved to be snubbed. They did everything possible to demean the Queen and the country. I'll be watching grass grow!
