Stay Woke, Y'all
Impeachment on her mind.
You have to admit it. Maxine Waters is kinda funky.
She screams, bellows and chants, “Impeach 45, impeach 45.” She contorts her face and shakes her bigwig head and calls for driving the 45th President out of office. She’s going to find a reason for impeachment at a later date I guess. She concludes this speech to her enthusiastic crowd by yelling, “ Stay Woke.”
A member of the Democratic Party she’s served in Congress in the House of Representatives since l990. Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington named Waters the most corrupt member of Congress in 2005, 2006, 2009, and 2011. She is now worth between $3,512,984 and $5,440,998.
She’s the darling of South Central Los Angeles, home of the Rodney King riot.
Did you see the Rodney King riot on TV? I did. It was live and absolutely horrible. I watched as a trucker by the name of Reginald Denny was dragged out of his truck and pummeled almost to death. One man stood on Denny's neck while others kicked him, spit on him; another hit him in the head with a claw hammer. They danced and made gang signs in the intersection where Denny lay in a pool of blood. Maybe they thought he was dead. But he lived despite receiving 9l fractures to his skull. Saved by good Samaritans.
Businesses were set on fire; bricks were thrown at police, store windows broken and of course looting, looting, and more looting. Innocent drivers unlucky enough to be driving the streets were stopped and terrorized, beaten and bloodied. Many store owners and businesses never recovered.
It could have been me! I was in South Central LA on that day, that very afternoon. I’d acquired a little house that was in foreclosure and I intended to clean it up, refurbish and sell it. I’m not a complete fool however. I had Windwalker and Little Bear with me. They were kicking back on the front porch, looking awesome.
I had no phone and no idea what a nasty brew was simmering just minutes from where I was scrubbing out a toilet. I left a little early from my project and got past South Central just minutes before all hell broke loose. When I got home I turned on the TV and saw what I’d been lucky enough to avoid.
"understandable and acceptable"
Reginald Denny is a white man and he had long blond hair and that was like a beacon to those awful rioters. As I watched Denny being dragged from his truck fear swept through me. My knees buckled. My youngest son, who was at the time a very cool rocker type and had a lot of long blond hair, would soon be driving those very streets on his way home in his cruddy little pickup truck. He made it home safely but he promised his mother to tuck his hair under his cap if he ever drove through Los Angeles again.
Anyway, fun Maxine Waters had this to say about her constituent’s behavior that dreadful afternoon, “If you call it a riot, it sounds like it was just a bunch of crazy people who went out and did bad things for no reason. I maintain it was somewhat understandable, if not acceptable. So I call it a rebellion.”
Well, Maxine, I have a lot of trouble labeling that riot “understandable or acceptable.” And it would be even more difficult had my young son been dragged from his truck and beaten because he is white.
Stay Woke, y’all.
