From the Arab Spring to Benghazi
Where there is smoke, there is fire. Actions speak louder than words. These two proverbs should be applied to any efforts to evaluate the actions, policies, and regulations of the Obama Administration.
More than a quarter of a century ago, when I was studying the events of WWII, one of the hardest things for me to comprehend, was how the majority of the German populace had turned a blind eye the horrors that befell the Jews. What I found most disturbing, was how the Jews allowed themselves to be loaded into those cattle cars without every last man, woman, and child fighting to their last breath to survive. How could they not see what was coming?
Those were questions I could never find a satisfactory answer to, no matter how many documentaries I watched on the subject, no matter how many books I read. It all seemed beyond comprehension, beyond the rational.
A few days ago, when watching the President of the United States address the United Nations, it started to sink in, the answers to those questions from so long ago finally started coming to me, as Barack Obama stood in front of the world leaders and talked about a youtube video, and America's freedom of speech.
Of course this was more than a week after Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three other embassy staffers were brutally slaughtered in an attack on the American Consulate In Benghazi. Along with more than a week's worth of attacks and demonstrations across a quarter of the world, on American Embassies.
This was also after the brother of Al Qaeda leader Ayman Al Zawahiri appeared on CNN after those attacks, proposing to mediate a peace deal between the West and Islamists. In the live interview aired on CNN, when directly asked, Mohamed Al Zawahiri stated he had no knowledge of the video.
All of these events had been precluded by the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit in Iran, which had drawn more than 120 nations and leaders of Islamist extremist groups to a country that has repeatedly threatened to exterminate Israel. That very week, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei once again threatened Israel with destruction, saying he was confident “the fake Zionist [regime] will disappear from the landscape of geography.” Only days after those meetings concluded, the attacks began.
More than a decade ago, I spent several months of my life in Egypt, it was very apparent to me that the majority of its citizens were poor and uneducated, not the type of poor seen in America, significantly worse. So when the Obama Administration chose to support the call for the overthrow of Mubarak, they were choosing to support the instability of that nation. They sided in favor of the uneducated, unemployed masses that were being spurred on by the most radical elements in the region. And when the Obama Administration chose to support the Muslim Brotherhood taking over Egypt, they were supporting an extremist organization whose radical views called for the complete annihilation of the State of Israel, as their number one goal.
For more than thirty years Egypt had been, if nothing else, a non-threat to Israel. It had been a country with stable leadership, that America could depend upon. Now it is an unstable nation, rife with unrest, and a serious potential threat to peace in the region. This is the type of 'change' that the Obama Administration has brought... uncertainty for all Americans in the Middle East and their closest ally Israel.
Now I begin to understand the events of WWII, it was a slow lie that was years in the making, that culminated in horrors we know now as the Holocaust. The Jews of Germany chose to ignore the rhetoric in Mein Kampf, they chose to ignore the Night of Broken Glass, they chose to ignore what was going on around them... until they were rounded up and taken to the camps.
Not so dissimilar, today we choose to ignore the words in Obama's Autobiography 'Dreams from my father" we choose to ignore statements that he made in that book and elsewhere "I will stand with my Muslim Brothers" and “I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.” We choose to ignore the fact that he was a 20 year member of Jeremiah Wright's church (promoting black liberation theology, and class warfare). Jeremiah Wright , who is himself a 'converted' Muslim.
We choose to ignore stories of how as a schoolboy in Jakarta Indonesia, he attended Muslim prayer sessions with his classmates and went to classes on Islam. We choose to ignore any connections his past has to people like Louis Farrakhan, Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn.
Obama's speech to the UN was given after the media in America spent hour after hour, and day after day, trying to convince Americans that it was all the fault of a Youtube video, and that if not for Obama's wise and benevolent leadership, things would be far worse in the Middle East right now.
Obama stepped in front of the United Nations, and preached to the world leaders about the consequences of America's Free Speech, and how a video lit the Middle East afire in protest. A video that had absolutely nothing to do with any of the events that occurred on 9/11/12 and the days that followed.
Now I begin to understand...
The untold story of the "Arab Spring" and how the Obama administration secretly helped bring Radical Islamic Terrorists to power - the Timeline:
2009: Obama travels to Cairo to deliver apologetic speech to Muslims, inviting banned Brotherhood leaders to attend. Obama deliberately snubs Egypt's president Mubarak, who was neither present nor mentioned. He also snubs Israel during the Mideast trip.
2009: Obama appoints a Brotherhood tied Islamist, Rashad Hussain, as U.S. envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference, which supports the Brotherhood.
2010: Obama meets one-on-one with Egypt's foreign minister, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, who later remarks on Nile TV: "The American president told me in confidence that he is a Muslim."
2010: The Brotherhood's supreme guide calls for jihad against the U.S.
2011: Riots erupt in Cairo's Tahrir Square. Crowds organized by the Brotherhood demand Mubarak's ouster, storm buildings.
2011: The White House fails to back longtime ally Mubarak, who flees Cairo.
2011: William Taylor, Hillary Clinton's special coordinator for Middle East transitions, and a longtime associate of Brotherhood sympathizers, gives the Brotherhood special training to prepare for post Mubarak elections.
2011: The Brotherhood wins control of Egyptian parliament, vows to tear up Egypt's 30-year peace treaty with Israel and reestablishes ties with Hamas, Hezbollah.
2011: Obama gives Mideast speech demanding Israel relinquish land to Palestinians, while still refusing to visit Israel.
2011: The Justice Department pulls plug on further prosecution of U.S. based Brotherhood front groups identified as collaborators in conspiracy to funnel millions to Hamas.
2011: The State Department formalizes ties with Egypt's Brotherhood, letting diplomats deal directly with Brotherhood party officials in Cairo.
April 2012: The administration quietly releases $1.5 billion in foreign aid to the new Egyptian regime.
June 2012: Morsi wins presidency amid widespread reports of electoral fraud and voter intimidation by gun-toting Brotherhood militia, including blockades of entire streets to prevent Christians from going to the polls. The Obama administration turns a blind eye, recognizes Morsi as victor.
June 2012: In a victory speech, Morsi vows to instate Shariah law, turning Egypt into an Islamic theocracy, and also promises to free jailed terrorists.
July 2012: Obama invites Morsi to visit the White House in September.
August 2012: Egypt's President Morsi, visits with China at the invitation of President Hu Jintao. Morsi sought Chinese investments that would enable Egypt to "dispense of loans and aid," from America and its allies in the West... From China, Morsi traveled to Tehran to attend the Non-Aligned Summit, and days after the summit ends, the attacks against America's embassies all across the Middle East begin.
The US Relied on the Muslim Brotherhood for Benghazi Consulate Security
A Libyan militia known as the February 17 Brigade, had been charged with providing local security to the consulate in Libya. This was what the State Department (and by extension the White House) was depending on to protect Ambassador Stevens.
The 'commander' of the February 17 Brigade, Fawzi Bukatef, is (or was) a member of Libya’s branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, and one of his group’s commanders reporting to him is Ismail al-Salabi, leader of a group of Islamist fighters, and the brother of Libya’s most prominent Islamist extremist, Ali al-Salabi.
Intelligence reports recently released from the offices of two Senators spearheading the ongoing investigation show that the February 17 Brigade stood down as the Islamist attackers stormed the U.S. consulate. This validates what the Libyan Interior Minister Wanis al-Sharif's claimed a day after the attacks, that Libyan security forcesthe Obama Administration was depending on to protect the Ambassador essentially handed the US consulate personnel over to the attackers.
Not only did the State Department have knowledge of all this, in real time through video and photos of the attack, they knew who was responsible for it. More importantly, the President was briefed on it in entirety prior to making his statements on 9/12/12 at the White House, and his trip to Las Vegas thereafter.
What is also clear, is we will not find out the truth about the matter until after the election, I do however, have some suspicions... Benghazi isn't what it seems at all, the more information that comes out, the more it doesn't add up.
What is going on is a lie, to protect a lie, to protect a deception. The more digging that is done the more this is looking like some type of CIA Covert Operation gone bad.
Reasons why I think this:
Looking at what occurred on the night of Sep 11, 2012, and moving forward...
1) No standards adhered to - no Security detachment to protect the Ambassador, no standard Gov issue vehicles, inadequate compound security measures, etc.
2) Just before the attack, Ambassador Stevens had finished meeting with a Turkish Ambassador (at around 9 pm).
3) On Sep 14, the Times of London reported that a Libyan ship “carrying the largest consignment of weapons for Syria … had docked in Turkey.” and then "more than 80 per cent of the ship's cargo…has been moved into Syria." The shipment reportedly weighed 400 tons and included SA-7 surface-to-air anti-craft missiles and rocket-propelled grenades.
4) Those heavy weapons are most likely from Muammar Gaddafi’s stock of about 20,000 portable heat-seeking missiles—the bulk of them SA-7s—that the Libyan leader obtained from the former Eastern bloc. Reuters reports that Syrian rebels have been using those heavy weapons to shoot down Syrian helicopters and fighter jets.
5) The ship’s captain was ”a Libyan from Benghazi and the head of an organization called the Libyan National Council for Relief and Support,” which was presumably established by the new government, he also has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.
6) A Libyan militia known as the February 17 Brigade, had been charged with providing local security to the consulate in Libya. This was what the State Department was depending on to protect Ambassador Stevens. The 'commander' of the February 17 Brigade, Fawzi Bukatef, is a member of Libya’s branch of the Muslim Brotherhood.
7) It is the Muslim Brotherhood movement in Syria that received at least part of the weapons shipment. In a NY Times article from June, it was stated "that a small number of C.I.A. officers are operating secretly in southern Turkey, helping allies decide which Syrian opposition fighters across the border will receive arms by way of a shadowy network of intermediaries including Syria’s Muslim Brotherhood."
8) The origins of the 'riots' and attacks on our Embassies began in Egypt, which is under the rule of the Muslim Brotherhood. In each step, from where and when the riots began, to who was supposed to be providing protection to the Ambassador, to the Captain of the ship, to those who received the weapons... the Muslim Brotherhood had a presence in every step of it.
Why were the CIA calls for support denied? Why were the Navy Seals told to stand down? Why was the 'normal' security for the Ambassador sent packing weeks prior? Was the Obama Administration afraid that news of them supplying SA-7s to the Muslim Brotherhood in Syria would get out? Were they afraid they might kill some of their Muslim Brotherhood allies in an effort to save American lives?
We will likely never get the truth.
