Originally, Lastheart was going to write this hub, but because of her new tablet, she is finding difficulty in the creation of hubs.

Maggie has a heart for Africa and its people. That enthusiasm has been released into my heart.

Some time ago, via Facebook, we met an African man by the name of Kennedy. Kennedy has a heart for Christ and for the people of Africa. Through Kennedy, we met many other African brothers and sisters.

We have also learned about a yearly mission these strong Christians have.

Let me explain.

Their Feet

Jesus said:

"Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them."

Help With African Feet

I am not asking you to travel to Africa to wash feet.

I am asking for you to help the African feet though.

You see: shoes are needed. There are many who are shoeless and the diseases and injuries to feet are numerous.

My sons are going to travel with all the shoes they can attain to the Samburu people in Kenya. With all of us working together, we can make sure these people have good footwear.

Not A Scam

I'm sure many reading this are just like I was at first. Apprehension is the first order because of all the scams that have come via email from different African sources.

I will guarantee that this is not a scam. I have got to know these young men quite well. They have hearts to follow the will of God. They are not asking for much.

  • Shoes/socks.
  • $1, 5, 10, or 100 to help with expenses if you can.
  • Most of all...PRAYER!

This year on the 9th of August, they will be making the long trek to the Samburu region in Kenya to deliver those shoes they get. The name of their ministry is Viatu Africa.

You can make the trek along with these young men.

How? You don't have a passport?

Send your used shoes.

Send some new shoes.

Send them some expense cash.

God didn't give to us to hoard it. The Word says if we have 2 cloaks to give one. How many shoes are there in that closet you haven't wore in years?

Send them to Samburu

Look at the following pictures, and I will then provide the way you can help.

Keep in mind that this isn't just a one time mission. Shoes are needed all over Africa. Please look up Viatu Africa on Facebook and like their page. Tell 'em Greg AKA Froggy sent ya.

One more thing.... Scroll up just a bit and take a look at the faces of those children in the last picture. Bring a smile to those faces in a very simple way....some shoes.
