Should President Obama Not Seek a Second Term?

Updated on November 21, 2011

Many Democrats are calling for President Obama NOT to seek another term as president of the United States. Many think the once popular president is now a liability, whether right or wrong. Obama's popularity has dropped to below 45% overall and 40% on the economy, which the Republicans are making worse. Yes, it is politics and it is a presidential campaign season. Obama blames the Republicans for not cooperating, which is true, yet without them, Obama cannot do much. Washington is as divided as the White\Black civil rights back in the 1960's. Obama is also being overly partisan.

Many Democratic leaders now think he should not seek a second term as president and conclude that Hillary Clinton would have a much better preserving a Democrat in the White House. Unlike Obama, she basks in a recent poll where 70% think she is doing a great job. And, if she went up Mitt Romney, she would would win, 55% to 38%. Maybe Obama should consider having her as a VP mate? I doubt if she would accept that. Obama really cannot run for a second term on his record, which is exactly what? Yes, he inherited a lot of mess, but he promised to sort it out, he has not and both sides are intransigence. Even the Super committee with members of both parties has failed to come together and solve the budget crisis America faces. Obama indicates he will veto all bills.

Should Hillary run for president?

I really can't see it happening. But then again Obama said he didn't deserve a second term if he hadn't reduced unemployment.Hermann Goering said that if a single bomb fell on Berlin then you could call him Mayer{Sheep}.Goering at least comitted suicide...can't ever see Obama ever having the decency to fall on his own sword.

I think that Obama will stand for a second term and mind you he may very well win.The reason is simple the opposing candidates have nothing concrete to say.

Unfortunately Polls change quickly and the population rather fickle when it comes to polls. In addition they can be skewed as to whomever is actually conducting the polls. Was the poll conducted by someone that is affiliated with Hillary in some way? Or perhaps the Republicans? .

I don;t think it really matters which candidate gets in to office the agenda is for the most part set by big corporations, and rich special interests.
