Some Truths Are Hard to Swallow

Introduction

There are some truths in life. In America 2017, we have a divided and partisan nation. There are some in media that will do anything to win. We also have professional politicians and lobbyists that control Washington DC.

- July 2017

Your Country is Spying on You

After the events of 9/11, our government went into a proactive posture dealing with terrorism. We adopted the Patriot Act to counter this new threat. In the process, our government agencies started down a path of spying on everything. Including the American people. This, by the way, was never the intent of the legislation. Our spy agencies, the CIA, NSA and the FBI used this law and expanded it to include all surveilances. It took Edward Snowden, a whistleblower, to expose what they were doing.

The Media is Biased Left

The media includes the major newspapers, TV news, and Cable News and news magazines. They, collectively, are biased. 90 percent of people in these arena are liberal Democrats. They see the world differently than you and I. They are elitest. They believe they are smarter and more educated and better informed than the average person. They want to control the narrative. They will shade the truth to their advantage. They call it spin but I call it lie. They are guilty of miss representation by omission. They will ignore some stories and exaggerate others.

Washington DC is a Swamp

We elect representatives to Congress and Senate and hope they will work for us the people. Instead, they are mostly controlled by lobbyists and big donors and large Corporations with money and influence. It is a swamp of people with hidden agendas. They are part of an act. They will talk publically one way and act very differently in their actions. Their main function is to hold on to their office and power. They spend most of their time fund raising for the next election.

Money Corrupts

It is said money corrupts. Power also corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Every where you turn, there is some group with money willing to use it to influence policy that will benefit them often at the expense of the public. It is a game and only people who has lots of money plays. It doesn't matter what political persuation. Both sides engages in it. They often put on a good show of opposition. Behind the scenes, they are all part of the same elite class.

Even Science is Corrupted...

Science and politics don't mix. Yet, we are seeing it today in the form of climate change and environmentslism. There are scientists who have allowed a cult to dominate and control public policies based on their studies. So much to the point that science has taken a back seat. They have created an atmosphere of miss trust. Who are you to belief? We have experts with opposing opinions. Where is the underlying science? Shouldn't that be the ultimate decider?

Economics Perverted

Our financial industry has also been disrrupted and corrupted. After the last recession of 2008, our government used its power to control the banks, the interest rates and currency. They have perverted an economic model that is now broken. We have spent so much money and accumulated so much debt that it is hard to imagine how we can come out of it. The current near zero percent interest rate is unprecedented in history.

Summary

There are some people who just refuse to accept facts. Even when they are clear and out in the open. My guess is that most people are not detail oriented. They will give government authority the benefit of doubt. It is just hard for some to belief that their own government lies and are corrupt.

What can one person do? You can start by paying attention. You can try and hold elected officials accountable for their actions. We can collectively impose term limits on our elected officials. The current stalemate in Washington is unacceptable. We need accountability on all levels of government.

You can become a dedicated and supporting member of "Justice Watch!" It is very long overdue that individuals in Gov't~POLITICIANS~ are held accountable for their sleazy behavior/crimes/lies/theft.....in the exact same manner as every citizen of this country. They are no better, no bigger nor more important than an ordinary citizen. Left, right or in between...fess up, stand before the courts and take what is deemed a fair & just price to pay society.
