Let's Build the Spaceship Peace

Updated on October 8, 2012

our spaceship

Spaceship Earth

We all were born on this spaceship called planet Earth, and this spaceship doesn't know any borders. To understand this, step back and try to watch this spaceship from the outside. You will see that rivers don't know any borders as well as the birds flying in the air. The sun is shining every day on the whole earth, not only on a special country, and all inhabitants of this spaceship share similar experiences, feelings and emotions. We all breathe the same air, and the flow of energy is universal, ignoring all borders. But there are other things which don't know any borders: the pollution of the environment, climate change/global warming with all its consequences, the spread of diseases and epidemics, famines, homelessness, natural disasters like hurricanes or earthquakes and other evil things still existing on our spaceship. People displaced and dispossessed by war or environmental disasters don't know any borders.

Borders

In a physical sense borders simply do not exist, only in the imagination of often corrupt politicians or other so-called leaders who want to stay in power, and in the imagination of those human beings who follow these "leaders" without questioning their actions (or non actions). We live in an age of competition, and borders are symbols of power, to keep the "others" out, people with other religions or cultural backgrounds, people who speak other languages, people with different behaviour..., and they are symbols of fear as a weapon to control the "others". As long as these borders exist in our imagination, creativity and the power to act are limited, and the danger of conflicts is considerably higher. Such borders lead to intolerance, suppression, hatred, slavery, exploitation and, in the worst case, to the destructive power of war. Authority creates chaos. It is our duty to overcome these destructive powers to guarantee our survival on this spaceship Earth. We must realize that only one human race exists on our planet, that we are all one people. We don't belong to any country, we are free citizens of this spaceship Earth.

"In the very end, civilizations perish because they listen to their politicians and not to their poets." Jonas Mekas

Spaceship Peace

To survive on our spaceship we must activate constructive powers. That is only possible when we change our attitudes and replace competition with cooperation, when we overcome our differences and respect each other, and first of all, of course, our Mother Earth and all these wonderful things this mother has created in billions of years. We have dreams and visions. The forgotten wisdom of our ancestors must be only reactivated. We have an advanced information technology at our disposal to share our ideas and experiences. These facts, combined with education and tolerance, give us the power to improve our knowledge and evolve our consciousness, the possibility to look to a better future without any borders and destruction, to ensure the survival of the human race and the whole planet in all its diversity. We are one global family. Don't be afraid to be confronted with different cultures, views and opinions. Let's act to build the Spaceship Peace now! Let's share this dream and let it become reality before it might be too late, otherwise we could end up in a high-tech stone age. We can't wait any longer for ignorant politicians and all the other "leaders" who always only react. The time for change has come, we need order without authority.

"A dream you dream alone is only a dream, a dream you dream together is reality." John Lennon

My Dream

the last war is over

destroyed the last fence

now we are saying

that peace has a chance

What a pleasure it was to read your hub and I am most grateful that our paths crossed today. I so hope your dream (and mine) of Spaceship Peace and respecting Mother Earth/Mother Nature eventuates one day real soon.

Looking forward to reading many more of your hubs and learning from you as I progress through them. Thanks again my new-found friend. :)

Your comments on borders etc, are absolutely spot on.

Untill we look at our world as one people, with one common goal, we will always be in the position we find ourselves in now.

I firmly believe we will get there one day, i just hope my children get to see it.

Great Hub, voted up and awesome :)

I so much agree! We really are on a spaceship called Earth. We need to do better at steering it!

A wonderful sentiment - wonderfully expressed.

And bang on the money. We do not need the politicians. They're just frontmen/facilitators for the banks who enslave us all through debt. If we get rid of this parasitic species of lowlife we can create a world free from poverty and war.

Sign me up for the trip.

Many thanks - nextstopjupiter - for this hub.

I think the planet Earth is a testing ground, could be.

When we solved all of are own problems of conflict, on a house to house neighborly level, on a State to State level, on a country to country level, then perhaps, Earth will be ready to congregate with its planetary neighbors.

But until local problems are resolved, interplanetary relationships are out of bounds, or so the aliens tell me :-)

      A wonderful possibility/probability?

Quote - "We must realize that only one human race exists on our planet, that we are all one people. We don't belong to any country, we are free citizens of this spaceship Earth."

We are one race but we have many differences, it is these differences that create the borders. Power, politics, greed, religion, etc. all assist in creating these borders.

Politics are necessary to keep states running and to keep law and order; A mans religion can not be taken away from him.... Just 2 borders that I personally can't see being removed.

A great view though, worded well, well done NSJ.

      I love your analogy here!

We're innocent creatures of curiosity at our best, destructive bullies at our worst.

Excellent article! We do need to raise our awareness regarding these matters. And you're right in that we do have the advanced technology at our disposal to deliver our message and expand our consciousness. We need to help awaken those that do not realize that they're still asleep.

      Excellent hub.

The biggest threat to the Hierarchy of power and also the driving force of the EGO, the DEVIL

      is????

      UNITY!!!

The coming together of lost souls that have been separated from their true source.

We should all be equal in body, mind and spirit.

How is it, that the FEW can control the MANY, but the MANY can't see it?

It is time for humanity to wake up from this nightmare and work together to bring peace and Love to this spaceship nextstopjupiter.

Lets create HEAVEN on earth and not let HELL control it any longer.

The days of money, power and control are coming to an end and those who remain chasing illusions will not access the kingdom of heaven.

Thanks for a great hub, enjoyed this!

I like your intellectual concept about "borders" that only exist in the "imagination of corrupt leaders" to keep out the "others". Very nice, it's real. Aren't we all aware of this? How we go about them, takes time to understand why people hurt people, when we have only this planet for ourselves.Valuable metaphor about Spaceship Peace. Hope everybody takes the ride here.

"A high-tech Stone Age" - I think we are pretty close to that already, unfortunately.

This is a great Hub. I tried to say something similar in my Hub about Wall and Fences to which I am linking your Hub.

Thanks for sharing and may the national state and its national security ideology soon be seen for the lies they are!

      Thanks for sharing.

      Love and peace

Good blog! I am not quite sure if we can achieve "order without authority" - it would require a highly educated population (world-wide) and we are not there yet. I believe we must start with making those in positions of authority such as politicians more accountable and resposible. For now, politicians are responsible to those who buy them off: bankers, corporations, etc. That must end! Cheers and Happy New Year!
