Spitting in the Wind

Harlotte Spins Breakfast

Good Morning, Breakfastpoppers. Today is Sunday, February 24, 2019. Our creative friend, Spider Harlotte, is at the stove preparing Walnut Muffins for our morning meal. I am at the bar mixing up a batch of Spiked French Lattes for our enjoyment. Harlotte is utterly astounded by the ever growing list of Democratic candidates willing to jump into the race for the presidency. We can dub this race

"The Battle of the Socialists". It can also be called a colossal waste of time and money. Please join Harlotte and me this morning for breakfast and a chat. We hope to see you soon.

An Angry Bunch

Thanks so much for joining POP and me this morning. The 2020 race for the presidency is heating up. The list of candidates is growing, and so is the false rhetoric about our nation and President Trump. In order to defeat a sitting president it would be important to take him or her to task for failing to perform in the best interests of the American people. Uh-oh, that could be a major problem for the Dems. They have already started whining about conditions in our country, but their assertions are idiotic and false. They rail against the economy. Their claims are nonsense because our economy is booming. They talk about producing jobs for the neglected middle class. The middle class is employed and jobs are plentiful. Most normal people know this, so bringing up problems that don't exist will only work for the uninformed. The black community is enjoying the lowest unemployment rate in decades, so discussing black unemployment is a dead end. There must be something they can fight for, but what that might be is elusive.

In Search of a Platform

The Dem candidates could talk about immigration. If they do, they will have to take ownership of their refusal to deal with it at all. President Trump has come up with some very good ideas. He feels, as most thinking people do, that it is time to solve this issue once and for all. The Dems, on the other hand, need to keep it alive and unsolved. They need to use the crisis at the border to make themselves appear relevant. The truth is that they don't care about illegal immigration. The more illegals the better, because, in their view, these people represent future votes. Their approach is simplistic. They appear before the American people and declare that that there is no crisis at the border. They are blind to the thousands of people trying to enter our country. Some of them, like Beto, would love to tear down any separation that exists between us and Mexico. He is a proponent of open borders. He is also a fool. No borders equals no country, but Beto never got the message, It appears that the Dreamers may be waking up, no pun intended. They are starting to realize that the Dems are using them like pawns in a political game, and they aren't amused. The same is true of the black community. Decades of Democratic leadership (HA!) have kept the black community down and out. They too are being used by the Dems, and they aren't amused at all. None of this is good news for the 2020 hopefuls, but they never let the facts get in their way. They just keep rolling along like wheels on a bus. Eventually, those wheels will come off.

A Tug of War

The left is praying that they win the tug of war between Trump supporters and those that hate him. What they don't realize is that Trump supporters are informed citizens. They keep on top of his accomplishments unlike the Dems who exert tons of energy trying to deny the undeniable. President Trump is a man who keeps his promises. The Dems promise the impossible and produce nothing. President Trump's intentions are honorable. He promised to kick start the economy, and he did it. He promised to boost small business in America and he did so by getting rid of crippling regulations. President Trump promised to renegotiate our trade deals so that our nation is treated fairly. He came through like a champion. President Trump promised to undo Obama's apology tour, and he did so brilliantly. Apparently, candidate Biden didn't get the message, He told our European neighbors that America was an embarrassment. Biden is the embarrassment, and he ought to be ashamed of himself.

President Trump's record of success is admirable. The Dems can't run against his accomplishments. The only course of action for these socialists is to litter the field with lies and distortions. They will fail miserably among those voters who appreciate the truth. They will succeed among voters who want big government to take care of them from cradle to grave. This subset has nothing to offer our nation. They take and give back nothing. They don't pay taxes. They don't contribute a thing to society. They believe they are owed everything. They have their hands out and their minds are vacant. They exist, but they don't dominate. We can thank our lucky stars for that.

Getting it Right in 2020

If truth and justice prevail, Donald Trump will win in 2020, and our nation will be saved from misguided embracers of socialism. The Dems are the new socialists. A win for them in any way is a blow to our nation. Their ideas are idiotic and foolish. I am not sure that some of them really believe in socialism, but it works for them if it gets them elected. They don't care about our country. They don't care about us or our children and grandchildren. They care only about themselves. I think it is very unfortunate that we have to endure another never ending election cycle. It would be better if a president served for six years one time only. That would spare the nation the agony of having to listen to all these candidates day after day after day. It's exhausting and it is definitely a waste of time and money.

In the meantime, we have no choice but to steel ourselves for what lies ahead. The Democratic Socialists will come out swinging. President Trump will fight back with the truth. May the best man win. That man is Donald Trump.

Harlotte's Song

Oh, what tangled web we weave

When first we practice to deceive.
