Street Kids

Updated on August 25, 2012

Blessed is he who considers the poor; The Lord will deliver him in time of trouble. The Lord will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth...

It is estimated that ten million children go to bed everyday without food world wide but what is the estimate of children that sleep in the street every night world wide?

I mean the homeless kids. The street kids...

Kids who don't have a place called home

Kids that pass their day and night in the street

These are the kids i mean.

When i talk of street kids, i do not mean kids that peddle in the street, what i actually mean is those kids that are deprived of love, those innocent kids that are subjected to abuse, murder, rape and all forms of evil the society and Government culminate.

Kids that have no care and no one to care for them.

These kids are not Africans, they are Europeans,Asians,Australians,Americans,Caribbeans, and they are not blacks, they are whites too.

These are the kids i am talking of,kids of the street.

Kids that are abandoned by the people yet we talk of the people and for the people.

What is the government all over the world doing about these kids?

These innocent citizens get little or no attention from the government though many government of the World ratified the UN Convention on the right of the child yet there are so many street kids all over the world.Should i talk of India, the Philippine,Brazil,Nigeria,Germany, South Africa,Ukraine,USA,UK, Angola etc...

They blame the parents...

Yes! the blame goes to parents especially single parents and those who are not family oriented thus braining in more than they can afford.

But i believe that you will not argue that;

70% of world street kids don't even know their parents, some have never met neither of their parents, some are abandoned at birth.

It is embarrassing to see so many sky scrappers, tall mansions, modernized prisons all over the world yet less homes for these kids.

Street kids...

Where is the love

I say where is the love

See the president and the minister

They are looting the Earth

They don't care about the Kids

They don't care about our streets

They bring up fake initiatives

They throw in millions of cash

They call it Youth empowerment

But their families-Beneficiaries

Nothing gets to our kids

They are subjected to untimely deaths

Exposed to daily abuse and tribulations

There is no truth with the Politicians

They are just like secondhand car dealers

Liars! Lairs! Liars!

They keep promising and failing

This is not An African Problem

We have white and black kids in danger

They don't care about these kids

They promise education and safety

And i wonder if these kids are citizens

You see them talking of residential homes

They talk of rights and tax rights

They talk of health care and tax care

I am fed up with my President

He keep looting the treasury

The wife is the bursary

While the children are the victims

They don't care about us

I walk through the shadows of death

Upon the Cobras i walk under foot

My cup overflow

Very touching Hub - may God watch over these kids. I like what you wrote: "These kids are not Africans, they are Europeans, Asians, Australians, Americans, Caribbeans and they are not blacks, they are whites too."

They are kids from all over the world. People tend to think all deprived kids are from Africa.

Lots of charities have been set up to combat this situation (some are scam) but I hope the real ones continue to make a positive difference and are able to reach the kids that need help.

      Nice Hub. :)

Rossi, I'm as guilty as the next by not going all out active in this arena, figuring a way to split what I consume with children like these. Americans don't see them because "they live in the bad part of town" and folks are afraid to go there because someone will mug them or worse. I suppose there is truth in that, but who allowed them to become the "bad part" of town? Look in the mirror folks it was us. They have a learned behavior, "if I need it, I have to take it". How do they all get to one part of town? I have to think on that. I live down a dirt road, I find dumped dogs all the time, people dump them where they aren't seen dumping them. They hide, they know it's wrong so the cowards road is where they go, maybe in the cover of darkness. Do people pick a spot and dump their kids? Making it the bad part of town? or does some rich person open a soup kitchen and shelter in the older part of town due to properties being cheaper? Then folks don't like the "kind" of people that come there? and move away? and stop buying properties there? America, at least California, had a name for it, they called it "White Flight". That's when a poor family, or a different skin color moved in, they would sell their homes and abandon their apartments and run like their ass was on fire and their heads were catching. Then property values drop and become affordable and more poor folks move in. I remember those places, I lived in one that in an eight year period became the bad part of town. The only real effect it had on me was when I sold and moved I lost money. I didn't run and most folks were as good as any I ever met. There was an element of folks that liked the radios and batteries out of my car a lot, 'cuz they kept taking them. We the people are the makers of such areas and like a waterfall these areas just keep flowing. We should be ashamed. After all, it is the "meaning of life". I used to wonder what the point of all this was, and God after trying to show me and tell me but I wasn't listening and was blinded by "my" world Then one day I came out and searched and I listened and found it!

This is all of it! This is our test! It is for one and all. Even a street kid, if he has two cardboard boxes to sleep in, and gives one to another who has none, or if he is greedy and refuses to share, his award will be the same as if it were two houses and a large bank account.

      Mathew 25

      The Judgment

31 “But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne. 32 “All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; 33 and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left.

34 “Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 ‘For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; 36 naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’ 37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? 38 ‘And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? 39 ‘When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 “The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’

41 “Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels; 42 for I was hungry, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink; 43 I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.’ 44 “Then they themselves also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take care of You?’ 45 “Then He will answer them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ 46 “These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

Rough Stuff Rossi! God please show us your mercy. God please take the mansions and turn them into homeless shelters. God please! Every person will have their reckoning. These kids are having their reckoning now. God, please, aren't they under the age of accountability?
