INSPIRATION!

Schools & Organizational Meeting Thursday, March 2nd

Join us meeting on Thursday, March 2nd at 6pm at Fairway Recreation Center (108th & Peoria) in Sun City Arizona.

Our speaker is Kathy Knecht a member of the Peoria Unified School District governing board since 2007. In 2016 she served as the president of the Arizona School Boards Association, and is currently on its executive committee as past president. A former teacher, and former regular local columnist for the Republic, she has served on numerous nonprofit boards including several for the arts, the Peoria Chamber of Commerce, New Life Center and Benevilla. Kathy is an outspoken advocate for kids and community.

We will then hear a short informational talks from the active groups that were formed at the SCDC Meeting. IF your group has not gotten active, you can take notes from what the active groups are doing and then spend a few minutes meeting with others who are interested in the same topics. These topics include healthcare, education, social security, Medicare, prisons, environment, LGBT rights, women's rights and invite in new members who want to help.

This is YOUR meeting. Join a group and support a group.

What we must be vigilant against is fatigue because it is WORKING! There is no end to the insanity we hear daily from the White House. We must not flag in our overall activism to STOP the insanity! Use the support of other SCDC members when you are having a down day. (and who has NOT had a down day since this insanity has over taken?)

All RCSC members and invited guests are welcome to the Sun City Democratic Club meetings held every first Thursday, 6pm, Fairway Recreation Centers. See you there!

Coffee EVERY Monday

We meet every* Monday morning at 9am at the Starbucks (99th Ave & Bell) for conversation and organization.

People ask 'what do you DO at the coffees...." Well, we DO so many things. We network regarding activities to further our cause. We make new friends to discuss issues with. We provide support to others when this 'whole mess' has gotten them down! We get support when we are the 'down feeling' ones.

This is a social networking event that makes us stronger as individuals and the group.

See you there!

* every Monday, rain, shine, holidays, and with our Winter Visitors in tow!

Do you realize that you do not give the time for the SCDC meeting on this page? It is good to know the day, but the time is also important. I want to invite a friend but I don't know if the meeting begins at 6:00, 6:30 or 7:00. also, the invitation for coffee doesn't give the time, either.
