Tax Glorious Tax

Updated on July 2, 2011

Every time I listen to Harry Reid lie about the deficit and cutting spending I get so angry I have to cut off the T.V. Yet I feel the need to address it in a blog in hopes of attracting some of my detractors like Mr. Happy, Ralph Deeds or my latest Liberal Friend; Oh I’m sorry I mean Centrist pal, Randslam to opine and start up yet another spirited debate. So as I have done on occasion I will address this issue in a musical parody; so without further ado I give you:

From Oliver's Food Glorious Food my version of Tax Glorious Tax

Listen to old Harry Reid the problem with this country’s greed

Cause the Rich won’t pay their share-er

Just look at Barrackie Boo he’s working hard for me and you

But those rich they just don’t care-er

We all must sac-ri-fice more as they rush out the front door

To the Vineyard to escape this mess

As things go from bad to worst Democrats want to quench their thirst

For the thing they love the beaaa-est

Tax glorious tax so we can keep spending
In spite of FOX News the e-con-o-my is a mending

Just cause you are out of work doesn’t mean we’re not trying
You gotta give us more time George Bush was a lying

Tax Glorious tax those rich just aren’t a paying

While you sit and starve they all are out playing

Flying round on their corporate jets eating lobster and roast quail

Wait forget about that last line that’s me and Moochell-el

Tax Glorious tax you gotta dig deeper

Cause it is our goal to make the debt ceiling steeper

We gotta get more from you spending cuts just aren’t coming

Cause we gotta buy the votes of those that we’re serving

Tax Glorious TAX Wonderful Tax Just Taxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Happy 4th of July. You don't really want to start a songbook business now, do you? After you pay all of the start-up costs for licenses and then the taxes. what do you think you'll have for yourself? Twenty cents on the dollar? Better wait, like everyone else...

I tap danced to this ditty all morning. According to Obama, although he won't admit it, we are all millionaires and billionaires except, of course, for his beloved union pals.
