Tears for Freedom are Shed
Was Once so Grand
There once was such a joyful time, in this country, of ours, so fine,
to eclipse, and so much to outshine, all of those days gone by.
Our justice was reserved, the rights of our freedoms, preserved,
now It seems is the time to cry, and over our loss, we wonder why.
The days of Washington, Franklin and Jefferson, way back then,
our founding fathers, and with their characters beyond reproach.
No finer start for a country, and such wonderful reasons, to begin.
only such evils, as those of all greed, for this sanctity to broach.
Abe Lincoln served his country well, and only to perish in the end,
his precious life, one of dedication, and to be none better, as a friend.
The gallant men, their lives all given, and this to be without any regret,
the common people's lives were served, and their duty's call, they met.
Those days of old, with times so bold, today's world, could not compare,
no compromise, so much unwise, and leaving nothing for all to share.
These men of honor, in such remorse, in despair, they shed their tears,
for the best of times, to be no more, seems all to have disappeared.
Now our futures to hold, no treasures of gold, in this, our time of need.
as our soldiers perish on foreign soils, to seem all in the name of greed.
Seems all in the name of greed.
of greed, of greed, of greed...
