Assassinate The President?

Ted Nugent the so-called "Motor-city Mad Man" lived up to the "mad" part of his reputation at a recent National Rifle Association event. He basically implied he would attempt to assassinate President Obama if he were re-elected to office. Here's what he said, "I'll tell you this right now. If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year," Nugent continued his rant saying "We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November. Any questions?" Sounds like a thinly veiled threat to kill President Obama if he's reelected to me. what's it sound like to you?

Nugent praised NRA members then warned them that if they didn't get everybody in their lives "to clean house in this vile, evil, America-hating administration, I don't even know what you're made out of." Nugent went on to say "If the coyote's in your living room, pissing on your couch, it's not the coyote's fault. It's your fault for not shooting him," He called the administration "criminals"and that "a Democratic victory in November would mean "we'll be a suburb of Indonesia next year" an allusion to the country President Obama lived in at one point when he was a child.

Nugent's Delusional Rant

I watched watched this on video and could see by the delusional rant and anger he was expressing that Nugent really believed what he was saying was true. And that he was trying to get NRA members (who applauded him and nodded their heads in agreement) riled up to the point of starting a shooting war, a revolution, a government takeover, to take "their" country back, if president Obama is re-elected.

Nugent is standing by what he said, saying that he's been unfairly targeted for saying he would "either be dead or in jail" by next year if President Obama is reelected. What? Isn't that what he said? So how is that unfair? Nugent compared himself to "A black Jew at a Nazi-Klan rally," Saying "There are some power-abusing, corrupt monsters in our federal government that despise me because I have the audacity to speak the truth."

He does have the audacity, but the truth? Hmm. A delusional truth? Maybe...but the truth...no! What do think?

The secret service is investigating Nugent because, as we all know, you can't publicly threaten to kill the president.

Monsters And Coyotes

Calling people monsters and coyotes, dehumanizes them and makes it that much easier to hurt or kill them, because after all, you're not killing people, but coyotes and monsters. Coyotes are often shot and killed because they're seen as pests. And and we all know what we do to monsters.

This brings me to a question I've asked and try to answer in one of my hubs "Why Do People Hate President Obama? This intense, delusional, hatred and animosity directed toward President Obama by Nugent and others, started even before he became president, while he was still candidate Obama. Why is that?

Read my hub "Why Do People Hate President Obama? to get my take on that question (there's link to it at the end of this hub).

Now I'd like to hear your take on it. Why do Nugent and others like him, so vehemently hate President Obama?

I await your response
