Why Does Ted Nugent Hate And Want To Kill President Obama?

Updated on October 10, 2014

Assassinate The President?

Copyright 2012 VVeasey Publishing

Ted Nugent the so-called "Motor-city Mad Man" lived up to the "mad" part of his reputation at a recent National Rifle Association event. He basically implied he would attempt to assassinate President Obama if he were re-elected to office. Here's what he said, "I'll tell you this right now. If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year," Nugent continued his rant saying "We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November. Any questions?" Sounds like a thinly veiled threat to kill President Obama if he's reelected to me. what's it sound like to you?

Nugent praised NRA members then warned them that if they didn't get everybody in their lives "to clean house in this vile, evil, America-hating administration, I don't even know what you're made out of." Nugent went on to say "If the coyote's in your living room, pissing on your couch, it's not the coyote's fault. It's your fault for not shooting him," He called the administration "criminals"and that "a Democratic victory in November would mean "we'll be a suburb of Indonesia next year" an allusion to the country President Obama lived in at one point when he was a child.

Nugent's Delusional Rant

I watched watched this on video and could see by the delusional rant and anger he was expressing that Nugent really believed what he was saying was true. And that he was trying to get NRA members (who applauded him and nodded their heads in agreement) riled up to the point of starting a shooting war, a revolution, a government takeover, to take "their" country back, if president Obama is re-elected.

Nugent is standing by what he said, saying that he's been unfairly targeted for saying he would "either be dead or in jail" by next year if President Obama is reelected. What? Isn't that what he said? So how is that unfair? Nugent compared himself to "A black Jew at a Nazi-Klan rally," Saying "There are some power-abusing, corrupt monsters in our federal government that despise me because I have the audacity to speak the truth."

He does have the audacity, but the truth? Hmm. A delusional truth? Maybe...but the! What do think?

The secret service is investigating Nugent because, as we all know, you can't publicly threaten to kill the president.

Monsters And Coyotes

Calling people monsters and coyotes, dehumanizes them and makes it that much easier to hurt or kill them, because after all, you're not killing people, but coyotes and monsters. Coyotes are often shot and killed because they're seen as pests. And and we all know what we do to monsters.

This brings me to a question I've asked and try to answer in one of my hubs "Why Do People Hate President Obama? This intense, delusional, hatred and animosity directed toward President Obama by Nugent and others, started even before he became president, while he was still candidate Obama. Why is that?

Read my hub "Why Do People Hate President Obama? to get my take on that question (there's link to it at the end of this hub).

Now I'd like to hear your take on it. Why do Nugent and others like him, so vehemently hate President Obama?

I await your response

Here's the link

People as sick as Ted Nugent shouldn't have a gun. Let me see. If you Ted said this about Bush. You would be sitting in Jail right now! Why are you not in Jail? And shame on the rest of us for not standing up for what is Right. Not White, Right....

      Thanks for commenting Joyce!

But as I've told other "white" people

If you don't share Nugent's racist views

or other racist "whites" views, you have nothing

to be ashamed of, just because you happen to be white.

Or in the case of other "whites" nothing to feel guilty about just because they happen to be white .

If anyone else would had said something like this to Bush. He would had and should been thrown in Jail. In a Texas second. I thought most the old folk haters were dead by now. And I'm white, and now I am a shame of it. Think I'll go black.

It's January 18th 2013 and Obama was re-elected for four more years. Nugent said he was going to be dead or in jail in the next couple of months. So far he has not lived up to his psychopathic rant thank god. I guess Nugent is nothing more then a gun angry coward/traitor masquerading as a patriot? There are a lot more psudo-patriots giving our country a bad name. I say we don't let them make a mockery of our country and freedom that so many died to preserve!

You're right sensationalizing can sometimes do more harm than good...but violent talk does effect minds or people wouldn't use it to stir up people's emotions and spur them to act.

It's been done throughout human history to get people to fight wars, vote, buy products etc,. Rational more calm minds may be less affected by violent talk metaphorically or otherwise. But you never know how some less rational, more emotional or hateful minds may react.

Lynch mobs are one example. The Trayvon Martin shooting is another example of how talk and peoples emotions can can spur them to act. Zimmerman and his family have gotten death threats and are afraid to show themselves publicly for fear of their lives.

Even if Nugent was speaking metaphorically or in code he was using violent imagery and violent emotions to get people who agree with him fired point is that's not good cause some people my take him literally, especially since so many of these people literally hate president Obama and display animosity and disrespect for his legitimacy as president.

Some fool may attempt to kill him.

Thank you for posting the vid.

It is apparent to me he was speaking metaphorically. As for the Giffords shooting, there is no evidence that I am aware of that the assailant knew of or had seen said material. As I understand it, he was completely lost in a very dark place. I am not, nor do I wish to defend such harsh rhetoric; however, I think it is very important not to overreact

to these types of things. Sensationalizing can only do more harm than good. Take that "fringe" pastor in Florida that was going to and/did burn the Koran. If not for the media overreaction, how many people would even have been aware of it?

      I see your point...but I don't know if what

you say is true. I don't think it is in this case.

But even if it is, there are many people who will take him seriously and may go out and do something violent.

Nugent is inciting the NRA people and those who share with he's views to commit violent acts against President Obama, the supreme court and his adimistration.

I know the secret service just gave Nugent the all clear but as I said his violent talk is dangerous because it can and may incite those even more extreme than he is to actually try to carry out his suggestions.

Gaby Gifords would be one example of something like that because of the bull's eye targets put on Democrats that Palin and other Republicans were against.

I've posted the video of Nugent's NRA rant for you to view.

I didn't watch the clip. But from past experience, seeing him perform and being interviewed, that seems to be be his M.O. I truly believe, without knowing him, that he is always "on". It's all performance. I'm not saying it's right, it's just the way he is.

For example: I just watched a clip of him ranting about not being in the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame. The very laid back interviewer interjected something during his shpiel and he said should shoot him in the head for whatever point he was trying to make. My point is, he seems to get off on making these types of comments to people in a very public forum. Again, I don't agree with it - or even necessarily disagree with it - it's just how he is.

I guess I can see people taking issue with it though, seeing the setting. NRA crowd, politically charged atmosphere, etc. So... we'll see how this turns out. I would hope, and in fact think nothing bad will happen, but you never know. I also think it is horrible how it seems some people "wish" for something awful just so they can say 'I told you so'.

      Thanks for your comments.

You ask "why would he throw all that away? Literally."

When someone has the animosity and spite that Nugent appears to have for the president, they're not thinking calmly and rationally, at that moment they're insane. That why it's called being mad=insane.

I agree that he wouldn't throw it all away, if he was completely rational at the moment he said that. He didn't appear rational to me. How did he appear to you?

I don't know. He has said many outrageous and over-the-top things in the past. And seeing that he is a free man and a celebrity (and living what I assume to be a comfortable life), why would he throw all that away? Literally.
