The 4-way test a true guide for life

The 4-way test, a true guide for life

The 4-way test is the guide for every rotaractor or Rotarian; it is like his bible or his Quran. Without the 4-way test, rotary will be useless.

As a member of rotary you are called to serve in selflessness and to spread the good workers bounteously. They try to live as they profess by dignifying their daily tasks and offering thanks to thee.

If every one can adopt the 4-way test in their daily lives, I think life will be less hectic for all of us, we would understand life better and live healthier and successful.

According to the 4-way test of the things we think, say or do, can be applied profitably in relations with others in the home, community, business, national and international lives; particularly to proposed plans, policies, statements and advertising in business and the profession to propose legislation in government; to relation between teachers and students in the schools.

IS IT THE TRUTH?

That word, speech or witness you want to give, is it the truth? If it is the truth, ask yourself if it is fair to all concerned? You don’t do something that is only fair to yo; you must judge it’s fairness to all that is one concerned.  Recently I failed in this test by publishing a hub title; “ how to get laid with an Indian or Nigerian girl”, which offended some hubber, therefore I am using this medium to ask for your forgiveness and trust once again, I am very sorry for publishing such work, I thought you guys would laugh over it.

If it is fair to all concerned, you must examine if it will build goodwill and better friendship? Before you leave a comment on someone’s hub or blog, don’t you think it will be fair to check if such comment will build goodwill and better friendship between you, the author and even the readers? And lastly, you need to examine its benefits to all that is concerned; how can your daily life benefit you and others? I don’t think we would live an immoral life.

NOTE:

Becoming a member of Rotary or Rotaract (youth wing of Rotary club) is free and beneficial, visit rotary official site at http://www rotary.org for more information.
