The Backstory of the Ramon Salcido Mass Murders
What About Angela Salcido?
This is not defend Ramon Salcido for the mass murder of family victims in 1989, in Sonoma County. Most know of the crimes and to a lesser extent, what state was his mental state in. Was he simply insane? insane induced by drugs? Just a "overly jealous guy" insecure in his relationship with his wife, Angela, a wannabe White model that made him very possessive? Did he feel unworthy of her because he was a Mexican working at a vineyard not making very much?
Did Angela have anything, whatsoever, to do with this horrific end story? Some living acquaintances seem to tell a different story. On that fateful early morning. Angela was in a hotel room that morning with the owner of the modeling school Ramon was working two jobs to put her through. Implies she was having an affair that Ramon had a deep suspicion about leading up to the murders. The children of Angela and Ramon differ in their appearance with Carmina and Teresita being blondish, while Sophia, dark. Angela is accused of having one-night stands and in one case became pregnant. Eventually Ramon was to find out that Sophia was not his. This was a very big deal to him because it happened while they were married.
Famed attorney, Melvin Belli, sued the Sonoma Mission Inn for Ramon because they refused him a room. Also in their past history, Angela was caught in the hot tub with the owner of her modeling school by Ramon. For him, a possessive and insecure jealous guy, she shouted at him that Sophia was not his. Ramon went into an alcohol and cocaine frenzy that night with buddies at local bars trying to numb his pain of not only losing a job and knowing what he did about Angela and what she wanted. O-U-T spells out. So, Angela went to the ATM early that morning, get some cash, and probably take the kids somewhere. She was escaping also. Running from the infildelity she had committed earlier. She also felt guilt and need to save face.
However, this time, she was caught in bad timing, like the earlier hot tub event. That is when hell was unleashed. As the children slept, the parents took up knives for battle. Ramon won this round. Now, the emotion dissipated, Ramon could not stand it knowing what his future was to be. He was not insane. He was NOT going to allow anyone else raise his daughters, yet, he knew it would not be him, so they would be his next victims.
What Ramon did was not warranted. No way. But, it is always interesting to know the back story of events in crime and here, both Angela and Ramon, are guilty of passionate crimes.
